Review: I flew to NY on Oct.** to visit my daughters; one resides in NJ, the other in Nyack.On Sunday, Oct.**, I purchased two jackets from Great Dames Boutique - one for my daughter and one for myself. Each item was $50, originally tagged $60. My daughter is an acquaintance of the owner and his mother and we were given a $10 discount for each item.I was told that I had to pay cash - debit or credit not accepted because we were given a "discount." This in itself, should have raised a red flag; additionally, I was not given a receipt. I had reservations about my jacket as it appeared too large. But, I took it anyway, thinking I could return it. The owner heard my concern, but at no time, told me "no refunds."Monday, Oct.14, I attempted to call, but had to leave a voice mail as the store was closed. I left my phone number and said that I would return the jacket due to size upon return to SC. I never received a return phone call.Wednesday Oct. **, I neatly packaged the item, brought it to UPS and spent $11.00 to ship it. Friday, Oct. **, I received a phone call from the owner. He promptly, and arrogantly, stated "I got this jacket, and I'm not refunding you any money." When I asked "why," I was informed that "it was clearance markdown and this was told to me and my daughter." To refute his statement: 1) Neither of us were told that! 2) There were no clearance signs on the rack, or item price tags! 3) Had I been told that, I would have never made the purchase! I've lived in Rockland for 36 years (Congers & Stony Point) and worked in Nyack for over 10 years. I have never been treated in such a deceitful manner by ANY business owner.I retired to SC in 2009, and am on a fixed income. I cannot afford to lose money, especially to someone who has no scruples.I respectfully request that the Revdex.com intervene on my behalf to obtain a refund of $50.00 for the jacket that has been returned to Great Dames Boutique.Sincerely,[redacted]Desired Settlement: A total refund CHECK of $50.00 to be mailed to me:[redacted]

At this time, I have not been contacted by Great Dames Boutique regarding complaint ID [redacted].

1) I have not heard from the business.

2) My daughter (who was with me at time of purchase), has confirmed to me AGAIN that the business owner did NOT inform us that my purchase was not returnable.

3) The fact that this owner has refused to refund $50.00 to me for the jacket (which I promptly returned to him) and will more than likely resell it and reap another $50.00 is unconscionable!

4) I recognize that the Revdex.com is not a law enforcement agency; however, I would expect and hope that the Revdex.com issues this business some type of warning or formal complaint. What has been done is outrageous and completely UNACCEPTABLE!
