Great Electric, Inc. Reviews (2)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint
Their reply is an assertion that they can perform subpar and incomplete work and produce whatever charges they want, including demanding more than the entire job, if all of what was initially contemplated out the outset had been completed, and done correctlyWhat they submitted to me after being fired is in my opinion, tantamount to extortionThis business practice defies logic when I have incurred many dollars repairing their work, in addition to losing much timeThey know they did not complete the job much less, do it wellThey certainly did not live up to their guarantee that I would "love it"Further, their counsel is incorrectThe last communication was an e-mail from me to Nate on January 12, No late night or any other calls on January 13, There was an unpleasant call the evening of January 12, 2016, followed by a detailed e-mail, which included the fact that their work had been inspectedThey have the dateFurther, a look at the TDLR website, one can easily locate *** *** master electrician, who inspected Nate and Great *** workHe is experienced, credentialed, familiar with the code, and located in the Houston area
I did not reply to the threats of litigation and demands of entry into my home received via my junk e-mail
This entire situation is a fiasco and the fallout from letting Nate go has been illustrative of the situation all alongI have nothing but regret even knowing him, much less allowing him in to my home, ever
When does a business get to demand more than full job payment for a partial job, which required some one else to be hired, to repair and finish?

June 20, 2016 I am counsel for Great Electric.  I was retained on January 13, 2016 due to multiple abusive telephone calls late at night.  On January 13, 2016, I sent an email to [redacted] (see attached) requesting she not contact my client due to the tone and content of her...

calls.  Ms. [redacted] NEVER contacted me despite my request on January 13, 2016 and refused to allow me to inspect and photograph the work site after she abruptly terminated Great Electric.  The "expert" report attached to Ms. [redacted] complaint does not detail the date of inspection, nor does it confirm whose work was inspected.  Since Great Electric was terminated prior to completion of the job, it is not surprising that all aspects of the job were not completed.  Final Inspection was called for by Great Electric and Great Electric would not have called for a final inspection had the work not been ready to be inspected and had Great Electric not been completely confident that the work would have passed final inspection.  The expert appears to do business in Dallas and therefore is not competent to testify as to Houston codes and compliance.     The preliminary budget on this job was $15,000.  Great [redacted] first bill was paid in the amount of $8,100.  (See Attached).  A second bill in of $9190.21 remains unpaid. (See attached).  Additional extras of $2,968.18 were incurred and remain unpaid.  (See attached).  Great Electric stood ready to complete the job but was threatened with police intervention if they came back to the job.  There was no behavior on the part of Mr. [redacted] or any personnel of Great Electric which would come close to justifying threats of such a nature. Great Electric has been in business in excess of 25 years and has never had a complaint to the Electrical Board or the Revdex.com before now.  Great Electric has worked on multi-million dollar homes in the Houston and surrounding area.  Great Electric dealt primarily with John [redacted], not [redacted].  Mr. [redacted] assured Great Electric it would be paid for its work.Additional letters of reference will follow this initial response. Please see the attached documents which include the bills, back up, emails, and details regarding Great Electric and its team of employees. Great Electric values its reputation and intends to vigorously defend its good name.
