Great Lake Canadians Baseball Club

We paid $15100.00 for our son to play with the Great Lake Canadians (GLC)from FALL 2015 - August 2017. Our son was released by GLC who did not have a legitimate claim for releasing him. All of the other players from the previous year were kept. GLC claims their number one goal is development yet they release players without valid reasoning. GLC advertises in all communications that they assist in developing baseball players and then assist with a college commitment. GLC advertises the following on their website: "We are committed to providing top notch development to amateur baseball players. Our program is dedicated to helping players advance to the next level by mentoring them along the way, both on and off the field. The GLC is a program designed to provide an elite level team with high level competition, led by former professional baseball players. GLC was created with development being the number one goal." Their welcome letter says: "In the short period of time since our program started, we have had tremendous success in sending players to post secondary programs in the USA. When an athlete joins the Great Lake Canadians program, he as well as his parents becomes part of our "GLC Family". This was our understanding of GLC because of their advertising: 1. GLC is first and foremost a developmental organization and focus is on developing players. 2. GLC advertises to families if it does not get your son a commitment to a college they are not doing their job and families did not need to go to PBRs. 3. GLC tells you to change your son's grad year to make them more attractive to colleges with more time to develop. 4. GLC will not tell you at any time there is a problem with your son's development, they will simply release them. 5. GLC will develop some position players and not others, and then tell you they have no place for your son on the team. GLC's claim of development as their number one goal is false advertising because they release players before they fully develop them.
