I bought a used auto and was sold the package for rust, paint and fabric protection by the dealer ([redacted] Chevrolet in [redacted] - now [redacted]) several years ago.
I have been taking my auto to Great Lakes Chemical In Grand Rapids for annual inspection and re-treatments under the conditions of the warranty. In October 2015, they discovered rust in several locations that was just starting. I was given their claim form and told to get a body shop estimate for repairs. The main company of Great Lakes said there was no rust warranty.
I checked with the dealership and they were less than pleasant. They said there was no warranty when one was actually implied in their paperwork for the protection fees.
After 3 months of being told it wasn't covered - by both companies. Terry at Great Lakes Chemical said that if I would have the auto repaired, he would reapply the rust protection to my auto at no cost.
February 15, 2016 he did reapply the paint protection to my auto. It was too late to repair all the rust on the back of the auto since it had since gone through the metal and there was now no way to stop it. Terry did have some heavier undercoating applied to the area but it will continue to rust there.
Overall I feel that [redacted] (now [redacted]) was not honest in their sales practices. Great Lakes didn't authorize a rust proof guarantee but they were the ones that in the end took care of my auto.

Had an appointment for a tuesday morning .
Called to check at noon to see if it was done and was told they won't get to it til wed afternoon. Voiced my concern on the fact they said it would be done and he promptly called me backand said to come get my car they won't get it done wed either.
