I worked with David on the purchase of 2011 ***. He was great. The office staff were very accommodating. In all it was a very pleasant buying experience. I highly recommend Great Lakes Classic Cars. You will not be disappointed.

This was by far the best car buying experience that I've had with any dealership!!
I recently purchased a 2013 *** convertible from Great Lakes. As I was not able to travel to the dealership, I purchased the car sight unseen. While the on-line photos looked great, I was quite apprehensive about the purchase and the potential for difficulty with resolving any unforeseen issues with the car. I need not have worried. Upon close inspection of the car it was discovered that it had two bent alloy rims. While perhaps this could have been discovered before shipping the car to me, it was not. HOWEVER, after contacting the owner of the business, Engels. The issue was resolved to my COMPLETE satisfaction. There was no double talk, denials or any other nonsense. Engels stood behind his word and reimbursed me for the cost of a set of factory reconditioned rims. I received a check promptly. Too often in today's world this type of service and responsibility to customer is rare. It was gratifying and a pleasure to deal with a person and a business that stuck to their word and did the right thing.
I would not hesitate to do business with Engels and Great Lakes again.
Thank you Engels!!

Would recommend to friends and family. Awesome service very professional answered all questions.

Needed a new car and found the exact car I wanted online at Great Lakes Classic Cars. Went there to check it out, and had a great experience. The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional.
I was given great insight into not only the car I wanted, but others as well. I was able to get my car the next day, with no issue. I would definitely recommend this company when looking for a sports car or a classic vehicle.

I recently visited the Great Lakes classic cars dealership after viewing some of the cars listed on their web site. The array of beautiful cars available is incredible. The atmosphere is very layed back and friendly and the owner is awesome to deal with. I received top notched service during my time there. I purchased a beautiful 05 C6 *** and I couldn’t be happier:) I highly recommend a visit to the Great Lakes Classic car dealership

Far and away the best experience i've had buying a car. Engels takes a no BS approach to finding exactly what you want and gets you on the road quickly without any hassle.
I came to him looking for something fast and affordable and he put me in a 2008 *** 335xi just a couple days later and I love it. Easy! Thanks again.

Spoke to Engels and then drove out from southern Indiana to purchase a 1979 R ***. Engels is enjoyable to deal with and very professional. Took care of a minor repair to the A/C and arranged transportation back to IN. Car arrived minus a headlight trim ring, which Engels ordered within an hour of notification. Love the car, pleasant experience Will call Engels again in a year or so when I want to trade up.

It turned out the A/C problem was NOT minor. Finally found a mechanic to do the work. $542.50 to fix it, over two months after I bought the car. Notified Engals of the problem and offered to split the cost of the repair. I got a check a week later. Engals is TRULY a man of his word.

Great Lakes brought a classic car back to life for me that was in an accident and sat for over 10 years. They were professional and the quality of the work they did was amazing. The car looked and ran better than before the accident. Their work covered the body, motor, breaks and accessories.

A very typical scenario where the car has sat for so long and the question is how to start the process,
Fortunately, that is exactly what we are experts at doing...
We always appreciate the business and compliments.
Thank you!

Just purchased two cars from Great Lakes Classic Cars. Terrific experience! Highly recommend!

Thank you for the Positive review.
I personally appreciate all of my customers and the opportunity to earn their business.

Amazing experience. I purchased a car from Great Lakes and they worked incredibly hard to ensure it was in perfect condition for a 15 year old car. When I took it to the dealership for PA inspection they had never seen a car 15 years old in that incredible of shape. I will come back to you over and over again and send all my friends!!

For the BEST experience buying a classic vehicle look no farther! I just finished one of the best experiences at Great Lake Classic Cars when I purchased my 1946 Ford Street Rod. Engles Gualdani (Owner) is honest and provides you with above and behond youe expectations! The staff is awesome and goes the extra mile. The dealership is clean and presentable and the inventory is 1st class or its not there. Please take a moment to contact them or check them out on their website. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

is an incredible customer and now a dear friend as well!
Welcome to the family *** and thank you for your business.

I contacted Great Lakes Classic Cars to buy a Wrangler they had posted with CarGurus, only to find I had just missed it. David, then Engles search for and found me a Jeep Rubicon 2007, wit 43476 miles on it. The car, the price, and especially the service were outstanding.
They definitely went above and beyond with this car.

We love customers like her and earning a customer that could have purchased from anywhere else and she chose us because of what we offered her.
Congratulations!!!

Happy to do businesses ther had good experience very helpful easy people to work with did a good details job

David can't be believed. Mister G (the owner) on the other hand is a true honest gentleman. I had a few issues with transport and he spent his own time and money after hours to work these out. I called anytime even after they closed and on weekends and he was there to help me. I would do business
with Classic Classic again. I would also recommend them to anyone looking for a great and a honest owner.

Great Lakes Classic Cars Response

Very happy to have made Mr ***'s dream vehicle a possibility.
Beautiful GTO sent all the way across the country into Oregon during hurricanes, floods, and fires.
Shipping was delayed and literally non-existent because carriers either didn't want the load into the area or were busier handling the southern demand in TX and FL.
What a season this has been.
Thank you for being patient and our customer. Congratulations on your GTO! Hope to see you again.

I found this 1970 Mustang online with Great lakes classic cars and decided to call them and get information on the vehicle. I got ahold of David who had told me that this vehicle was ready to enjoy and was mechanically sound but there were a few things wrong with it cosmetically but other than that it was a great vehicle. So I decided to purchase the vehicle without going there to test drive it and look at it and I should have been more untrusting when David wouldn't send me pictures of different parts of the vehicle that I was wondering about. The first thing that David lied to me about was my question of what these brand new bolts were that were underneath the vehicle which he told me was for bolting in the seats which it wasn't it was actually the seat belts that were being bolted in. I asked what needed to be fixed and he assured me that this vehicle was "ready to be enjoyed and driven". So I buy the car and they weren't setting up the shipping of the vehicle from New York to Nebraska it was over a week and David told me that these things take time. Anyways, I decided to contact a vehicle moving company and pay to have it shipped to me. The vehicle transporter calls me and sets up a time frame that they are going to be there to pick up the vehicle and I call and told David about the time frame and I also gave the transporter Great Lakes phone number to get ahold of David. So the time that was scheduled comes and they don't pick up the mustang so I called both the transporter and David. David tells me that they didn't pick it up because the transporter said that it would be better for him to pick it up at a later date and that they didn't call him first before picking up the vehicle to schedule a time when he didn't mention this when I contacted him to inform him of when the transporter was going to be there. I called the transporter and they told me that the vehicle wasn't running and so they couldn't pick it up. After hearing this news I called David and asked him if the vehicle wasn't running and he told me it was and that it was just that the car transporter didn't call him prior and they had things going on, but most importantly he lied to me again and said that the vehicle was running and was ready to be picked up. So I call the transporter back and told them that David was telling me that the vehicle is and has always been running, so they call David with me on the phone and I listened as the transport operator talked with David and he tells them that the vehicle wasn't working and he also made some comments about me to the transport operator not knowing I was listening to the conversation. At this point, I contacted Engels who is the owner of Great Lakes Classic Cars and he tells me yes the vehicle is not running and tells me the truth about what is happening and actually helped me out a lot better than David did. Engels also reimbursed the money that I was out from the transporter because they didn't pick it up due to a fault not to the transporter. Engels also sets me up with a transporter and I finally get the vehicle. After I pull the mustang off the trailer I go to drive the mustang around the block and the clutch pedal stays stuck to the floor and the car keeps dying. So I put it away for the weekend and call Engels on Monday and he reimburses me again to replace the carburetor and to have a mechanic look at the clutch. The clutch was replaced by Great Lakes mechanic and from my understanding they had outsourced the work to a different shop. But what my mechanic pointed out was that the rod for the clutch had punched a hole in the clutch fork which is why the clutch pedal is stuck to the floor. I know this was an issue for Great Lakes because there was three springs attached to the clutch pedal and the back of the dash. I call and told Engels about this and he had told me that he would reimburse me for having the clutch fork replaced. I have also create a list of all the things this ready to enjoy vehicle needs and they aren't cosmetic problems the fog lights don't work, Ebrake release is missing, Horn doesn't work, Radio doesn't work, the rear view mirrors are loose, the holes for the hinges on the louvers a wallowed out, the steering column cover was attached with electrical tape, the speedometer gears in the transmission are striped and not working, the electric fuel pump stalled out in traffic when it got hot from air not flowing past it, the license plate light doesn't work, the engine mounts are split and need replaced, the heater fan doesn't work, the defrost selector doesn't work, there was duct tape over the defroster vents for some reason, the shaker air cleaner is missing the internal top lid so that the air goes through a filter instead of straight from the scoop to the engine without being filtered. and the door panel lights aren't working as well as the clock on the dash. So my thoughts on business with Great Lakes is that they do have some dedicated customers who like them and Engels did work with me and make things better however if you do shop with them I would recommend staying clear of David the liar.

Great Lakes Classic Cars Response

Mr. is a good customer of Great Lakes Classic Cars and I appreciate his business;
As mentioned in his statement we do and try to satisfy our customer's needs and expectations. Due to age and prior use of these older vehicles, these cars are not always restored before sold because doing so would price them way out of reach to most buyers.
It is a 47 yr old car and no doubt it has had it's share of owners and it's own history on the streets.
A Mach One with full on positive traction on a locked rear, 4Spd with electronic ignition setup on hot head engine and headers... Not exactly a little old lady car...
I do understand the excitement, pleasure and sometimes frustration and disappointment that comes with vintage car ownership and though often it can be all of those things combined, I urge Mr. to continue conversation with us and he may contact me directly anytime so we can work together and we can assist him with his Classic and Vintage car needs.
Thank you for being our customer and feel free to contact me directly anytime.

We had a very positive experience with this business and the people employed there. We found the perfect car that I wanted. It was clean & beautiful at the right price & size for me. We also enjoyed our visit there just looking at all of the beautiful classic, vintage, & muscle cars in their inventory.
They took very good care of us & we highly recommend them.

Please stay in touch!

Dealer never returned my phone calls or emails.

What a great experience! I recently traded two cars for two in GLCC's inventory. I couldn't have been more pleased! It was an easy, quick transaction, and the owner, Engels, could not have been more accommodating and great to deal with. I would recommend them to anyone!
