Excessive Inactivity Fees with no notice From September through June (except for October 2015) my checking account was charged a $monthly inactivity fee with no notice being sent to me of this taking placeThis was a new account I had opened with the intention of switching from a different credit union but never did soWhen I opened the account I was told there were no fees and I never received any bank statements or notices of the fees being taken outWhen I first called the bank the week of June 28th I was told the bank started the practice of taking the fees in When I requested to speak to a manager no return call was madeOn July 6th I again called about the fees and the manager claimed the fees were their practice since I was then only offered months worth of fees returned to my account which they have already done

Contact Email: [redacted] @glcu.org In response to the statements from Mr [redacted] , Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU) has researched the matter and provides the following response: In reviewing the loan, the details are as follows: Mr [redacted] refinanced an auto loan on 11/25/in which his prior loan had a monthly payment of $At the time of the refinance, his payment increased to $144.99, and his ACH was not increased to coincide with the increased paymentOn 08/01/15, Mr [redacted] agreed to increase his ACH to $183.00, until the loan is paid in fullOne late fee of $was reversed, and there is one additional fee to waive in the same amount During this period of short payments which extended from January to August 2015, Mr [redacted] was contacted by telephone, email and letter in excess of times, requesting his assistance to rectify this matterMr [redacted] did not respond until 08/01/ GLCU informed Mr [redacted] that once the loan was paid in full, GLCU would ensure that the rating reported is "Paid as Agreed"With regard to any prior reporting, there were delinquencies reported which have been adjusted via the [redacted] systemThis was done on 10/17/when the member last spoke to the branchMr [redacted] has been dealing with our local branch, and GLCU has supplied all information that he has requested to date We will continue to monitor the account, to ensure the rating is corrected

Mr. [redacted] refinanced an auto loan on 11/25/13 in which his...

prior loan had a monthly payment of $132.44. At the time of the refinance, his payment increased to $144.99, and his ACH was not increased to coincide with the increased payment. On 08/01/15, Mr. [redacted] agreed to increase his ACH to $183.00, until the loan is paid in full. One late fee of $7.25 was reversed, and there is one additional fee to waive in the same amount.
During this period of short payments which extended from January 2015 to August 2015, Mr. [redacted] was contacted by telephone, email and letter in excess of 20 times, requesting his assistance to rectify this matter. Mr. [redacted] did not respond until 08/01/15.
GLCU informed Mr. [redacted] that once the loan was paid in full, GLCU would ensure that the rating reported is "Paid as Agreed". With regard to any prior reporting, there were delinquencies reported which have been adjusted via the [redacted] system. This was done on 10/17/15 when the member last spoke to the branch. Mr. [redacted] has been dealing with our local branch, and GLCU has supplied all information that he has requested to date.
We will continue to monitor the account, to ensure the rating is corrected.
