We have been a customer of Great Lakes Yellow Blue Eco Systems since Nov. of 2014. This was the best investment choice we have made for our home. We attended a demonstration and talk and was provided a very nice dinner to boot. After hearing about this product and the benefits it provided, we were convinced that we could not afford not to do it! We purchased 2 solar fans and the multi layer attic blanket that was provide by and installed by a local company out of Saukville, WI. The installers were very professional and kept our home neat and clean throughout the process. They were polite, very friendly and took pictures of the process as they did the work so that we were always informed of what was being done and how. I am a person that needs to know everything and am a perfectionist! Our attic looks fabulous and the installers did a wonderful job, very neat and clean and they covered all the vital areas and knee walls. Our propane gas usage has already dropped, our tank of gas lasts longer, our electric bills are down and our AC runs less long and not as frequent. It only runs for short times in the afternoon or evening on very hot days. We have seen a reduction in our gas and utility bills already. Our thermostat is set at 64 now and the house is warm, it used to be set at 68 or 70 to keep the home warm. Our furnace runs less often and less in duration when it is running. We have increased our AC and Furnace Life longevity as a result of less wear and tear on them as a result of our attic blanket and solar fans.
Our home is less dusty now and more even heat throughout, no more cold spots or cold rooms in the house. That feels NICE!
Then on Aug. 2, 2015 we experienced a major hail storm that caused in excess of $70,000 in damage to our home. Our roof was damaged along with steel siding, Kolbe windows, barn roof and second garage roof. We really got pelted by the hail and wind. With that said, my thought was that if we got all this damage on the roof, etc., what does the solar fans look like. So we called Yellow Blue Great Lakes Eco System and asked them to come and check our Solar Fans and they responded within 2 days to check the fans. Low and behold, the Solar Fans were fine and endured that awful hail storm. Their quick response made me feel like we really did make the right decision in going with these products from Great Lakes Eco System. Great job everyone from sales to manufacturing to installing! I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

We attended an informational meeting. I initially wanted to go to learn about energy efficient lighting. I already had some past experience with a much earlier version of the attic blanket. I had one installed in my previous home and tried to talk my fiance into getting one a while back, but he was unconvinced. When he heard all the information at the meeting, he was wavering about whether or not to have one put in, but saw the value in installing the solar fan at a minimum. I saw that there were advancements from the attic blanket I had installed in my previous home and after talking, we agreed that this is something we wanted to invest in. When the sales representative went up in the attic to for the initial assessment, my fiance followed him and could not believe how hot it was up there. (Just like the representative had explained in the meeting). Now that the blanket and fan are installed, it is much cooler in the attic and we have already seen our AC on less. Very professional installation. So far, we are happy with the results. We can't wait to see how this affects our next energy bill!
