Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: We installed the sod on the day we received it as instructed R [redacted] has used this tactic all along blaming us for the damaged sod We were told the delivery would take place early in the morning but instead the sod arrived in the afternoon at 1:30pm - see attached receipt from Estes deliveryThe temperature here that day was in the low 80’s, and the sod arrived with many brown edges and appeared burnedWe went ahead and installed the sod that same day as instructedThe sod may have left their facility in good condition but it did not arrive here that way The best explanation based on the facts is the sod was on the back of the truck for too long and was ruinedAll we have ever wanted was a fix - but rather than help the customer, Soils Solutions blames the customer when the delivery does not go as expected We didn't spend this amount of money to treat the sod carelessly and wreck our investment - that's truly disingenuous It would be helpful if Soils Solutions were to admit that a late day delivery may have impacted the quality of the sod given the temperatures in So Cal that day We were offered replacement sod long before disputing the charge with the credit card company but it never arrived We were told the replacement would come during the next delivery to our area, but that never happened, and there has been no followup This entire process has been a colossal waste of time and money when it could have easily been resolved by Soils Solutions We paid for this sod in full, and the company still has our money while we have a very poor looking lawn that never grew in properly We will still accept the replacement sod for the brown patches, but it's been so difficult dealing with the business that I'm not hopeful at this point If Revdex.com can mediate a solution, we would be more than grateful Regards, Linda W [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: We installed the sod on the day we received it as instructed.  R[redacted] has used this tactic all along blaming us for the damaged sod.  We
were told the delivery would take place early in the morning but
instead the sod arrived in the afternoon at 1:30pm - see attached
receipt from Estes delivery. The temperature here that day was in the low 80’s, and the sod
arrived with many brown edges and appeared burned. We went ahead and
installed the sod that same day as instructed. The sod may have left
their facility in good condition but it did not arrive here that way.
The best explanation based on the facts is the sod was on the back of the truck for too
long and was ruined. All we have ever wanted was a fix - but rather than help
the customer, Soils Solutions blames the customer when the delivery
does not go as expected.  We didn't spend this amount of money to treat the sod carelessly and wreck our investment - that's truly disingenuous.  It would be helpful if Soils Solutions were to admit that a late day delivery may have impacted the quality of the sod given the temperatures in So Cal that day.  We were offered replacement sod long before disputing the charge with the credit card company but it never arrived.  We were told the replacement would come during the next delivery to our area, but that never happened, and there has been no followup.  This entire
process has been a colossal waste of time and money when it could have
easily been resolved by Soils Solutions.  We paid for this sod in full, and the company still has our money while we have a very poor looking lawn that never grew in properly.  We will still accept the
replacement sod for the brown patches, but it's been so difficult dealing with the business that I'm not hopeful at this point.  If Revdex.com can mediate a solution, we would be more than grateful.

L[redacted] and her husband, R[redacted], are being EXTREMELY disingenuous with the filing of this complaint.  The California Native Sod that they received was in outstanding condition as were the other 5 orders of Native California Sod that we delivered to other clients on that...

day.  We are pretty sure that they left their new sod on it's delivery pallet for at least one day during a particularly HOT period, despite being informed in writing and by phone conversation that the new sod HAD to be taken off of the pallet and installed in as timely a fashion as possible at their site.A few weeks after their sod was installed and delivered we got a phone call from R[redacted] describing a dried out and severely challenged lawnscape and he sent pictures to support his descriptions.  Mr. E[redacted] had previously informed staff here that he had personally installed or overseen the install of almost one thousand residential or commercial lawns in his professional lifetime and so all of the preparation and installation instructional sheets that we always send prior to delivery of or California Native Sods were not necessary for him.  The reason that I bring that up is that once we saw the pictures of the installation area it became immediately obvious what at least part of the problem was with this client's Native Sod.  The sod was placed as a border around multiple large flagstone areas and up against stonework and rockeries in a South facing landscape where direct Sun exposure occurs all day.It is our opinion that the combination of the New Native Sod being left on it's shipping pallet for an additional day prior to installation plus the client's self professed failure to follow our posted "Preliminary Watering Instructions" in addition to the nature of the designed area where this grass was installed and the fact that it was getting FAR TOO MUCH heat without a counterbalance of restorative watering during it's initial establishment phase led to the results that Ms. W[redacted] and Mr. E[redacted] have experienced. It is true that we had agreed with Mr. E[redacted] to provide a few rolls of their sod varietal to them as a kind of "make good" gesture and that we would "piggyback" those rolls with the next sod shipment to their area as a way to save them some shipping expense for the replacement sod.  A few days after Mr. E[redacted] and I reached that agreement I was informed by my credit card processing company that Ms. W[redacted] was accusing Soils Solutions of fraud in processing a credit card charge for this product and demanding that ALL CHARGES for this transaction be reversed and returned to their charging card.  We were forced to respond with the entire litany of Proof of Delivery paperwork and their request was ultimately denied by their Credit Card company and so now they are trying to harm Soils Solutions good reputation with this slanderous, mistaken and SMEAR oriented report to the Revdex.com.It is just too bad that people like Ms. W[redacted] and Mr. E[redacted] even have the opportunity to use the fine resources of the Revdex.com to conduct these unproductive and dastardly campaigns.R[redacted]DirectorSoils Solutions LLC
