I am about to make another reservation with Great Outdoor Rentals, and I expect to be treated as I have been in the past; wonderfulThey have always been courteous and helpful One time I even had to cancel at the last minute due to an illness in the family, and had not purchased any traveler's insuranceThey were kind enough to give me a gift certificate good for one year at the property which I had originally rentedWow! I did not expect thatSome of the time I have scheduled far in advance and some of the time I have called at the last minuteI even walked in to see what was available on one occasionThey have always tried to find something that my wife and I would enjoyI would give them the highest possible rating

I have been going to the smokies for a good number of years and rented a cabin everytimeI rented a cabin from great outdoor rentals and is by far the worst people to deal with in the pigeon forge areaThey set me up in a cabin with rancid sulfer water so I decided to check out and there was a problem with getting a refundOne on the managers said me and my wife were just trying to get something for nothing when we wanted a refundI was refered to another manager and he wanted proff that I stayed somewhere else He offered to go get the proof himself if I told him where I stayed the night I left his cabinSo I ask him if he had been to his cabin to see if it looked like anyone had stayed the nightthis mans reply was "NO" Hes willing to drive anywhere it takes to find a reason to rip off a customer, yet he wont drive to his own cabin to see why the customer was not happyI sent him the room bill for that night and finally recievied a refund

This business needs to be reevaluated as it has poor customer care and has problems that need to be addressedThis cabin is dirty, outdated, musty, and doesn't have running waterThe dishwasher does not work, the bathrooms have water stains on the ceilings, the dishes were dirty, dirty toilets, broken tiles, dusty baseboards, stained furniture and bedding, pet hair on furniture, broken toilet seats, evidence of mice, and some of the televisions were inoperableUpon arrival we contacted the office about all the things that were broken/dirty/inoperableThey did not address our problems in a timely manner and seemed bothered that we would even contact them about not having water (which means, no working bathrooms.) The office personnel was rude and seemed uninterested in the fact that we were without water for two days and refused to refund any of our money or compensate us at all for our time without waterWe will NEVER stay at a Great Outdoor Rental again

They have always tried to find something that my wife and I would enjoy. I would give them the highest possible rating.
