$750.00 deposit for her apartment with us. Out of that deposit, $350.00 is taken as a redecoration fee. This fee takes care of regular cleaning associated with the turnaround of the apartment. Any cleaning and/or repairs that would be considered extreme or beyond the norm are then deducted from the remaining deposit ($400.00).
Ms. [redacted] left her apartment in terrible shape. She had four sets of blinds that were broken and needed to be replaced, she had large stains in 5 of the rooms of the apartment, a towel rack was broken off the wall and missing, there was a hole in one of the doors, and her appliances were heavily soiled. These were all items that we had to charge Ms. [redacted] for. With everything added up, she actually owes us $50.00.
The reasoning for the charges and explanation was sent in letter form to Ms. [redacted] and it was explained to her when she called our office. We hope that this will help her to further understand the charges.
