Great Plains Heating AC & Plumbing Reviews (1)

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/01/13) */
Mr***'s home was a pre-manufactured homeIn the bid for his home to the general contractor there was an option for us to do the HVAC work for the home, *** opted to have *** homes install the furnace and ductwork system for his
homeWe were responsible to tie into the existing gas system and terminate it outside the home as we didWe have Absolutely no ties to what happens with the furnace or ductwork systemOn another note, he hired a company to come install a heatpump system in his home which would entitle them to access and start the furnace to test his heatpump system and gas systemWe tied into a gas system already completed to ALL of the appliances it may have served, whether that be a stove, furnace, fireplace, water heater, etcextended that system to the outside of the home and that was the completion of our partWe tried to help him warranty his heat exchanger but would not receive the heat exchanger until Jan which he was aware ofwe quoted him a price of $for a furnace replacement at that time as wellWe are not responsible for any gas appliances in that home , for we did not supply or install themIn ***s complaint it quotes he should pursue the ORIGINAL HVAC installerswhich was not usHe certainly can pursue the gas company, they turned the gas on to the housewhy are they not responsible*** really needs to have *** Homes step up to the plate for there responsibility, when the furnace was installed by whomever they should've been made aware of what fuel was being used to heat the homeI will not seek reimbursement for time lost over the matter that is clearly not Great Plains responsibilityWould the electrician who wired Power to house be responsible for electrical failure for work he did not perform within the home, Would the plumber be responsible for water leaks throughout the home in which he did not plumb etc
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/01/14) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I understand the the point of viewHowever, *** Homes installed the appliance in the home, but are not licensed/certified to connect the fuel lines to complete the installationA Licensed HVAC technician is required to connect/test/verify the appliance is safeI have the contract from *** homes, whom was also provided to my contractorI also have a log of text messages stating that the furnace would be changed over, which means the change over forgotten, or neglected on purposeEither way the job was incomplete and resulted in significant monetary loss on my partI would also like to point out that Great Plains is (or was) at the time not warranty authorized for this particular brand of furnace, which is why I contacted a third party, to which they replied the unit would not be warrantied to due to negligence (I can get that in writing if necessary)So the claim that the unit is getting warrantied was a method to "blow me off" as they went to Christmas breakI am also in the process of obtaining the ND state codes for HVAC technicians to verify that connection and activation of the fuel line requires proper testing for leaks, fuel flow, ratio of exhaust and COemissions within the homeWhich could not have been tested if the furnace was never firedMy family was placed in danger, my new appliance was destroyed, and the licensed installer claims not responsibleRegarding the heat pump, One Hour can not be held liable for an appliance they did not initially install, or connect, as they were not responsible for checking the proper nozzles while firing the furnace, the only needed to verify the furnace turned on in addition to the newly installed heat pumpThe ELECTRIC heat pump which had no bearing on the fuel line installationI should not have to point that out to a licensed HVAC installer, In my opinion this is what I consider the responsible party playing "the blame game" rather than stepping up to handle the responsibilityI have enough to move forward without having to use Revdex.comIf this will become a back and fourth argumentI would much rather leave it to the judge
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2016/01/24) */
I never test you about changing furnace over to L.PMy number is ***You don't need to be warranty authorized to provide a new heat exchanger*** Cody *** was our contact for a new heat exchanger who is the salesman we contacted for the replacement before Christmas break and told us it would be Jan 15, if you need to check for my honestyYou say One hour cant be liable for a unit they did not installAs well as Great Plains is not liable for a unit they did not installI have no contract with you or anyone else that state I am responsible to start YOUR equipment upI would've started MY equipmentAs far as the heat pump goes your talking over your head and the installer should have started furnace to test outdoor thermostatHis sticker is the only sticker on the furnace so he mustve done something with itYou can move forward as you wish make sure to bring the contracts that are signed by greatplains and the text messages that you sent to greatplains if there are anyWe don't have any and provided all the work that was asked of us
