In answer to the customer complaint of [redacted] , let me give you a little history of the Rola-Rena Roller Skating RinkWe built our rink in Our mission was and still is to have a place where children,and families could come and have a safe and good time without a lot of expenseWe have followed this mission thru the years we have been in business" When [redacted] called book a party she would have been told the following: The birthday party package is $per child, there are no carryins, except for giftsMinimum of Children under the age of to have a party anyone over the age of the admission is $3.50, $to rent skates or $to rent bladesThe reason that we charge everyone who comes in is that they use all the facilities that we offer, and I don't know where you can go and not pay for that service[redacted] states that she was charged for lockers to put clothes and shoes inThis is not true! The lockers are large, they will hold the shoes and jackets of several childrenYou insert in the locker, and you can have as children sharing a lockerNo one collects, they receive a key, when they leave they take the clothes and shoes out of the lockerThey do not have to worry that a jacket or shoes may be stolen, spilled on,or tripped over! And in honesty that would figure out to about a personWe have a policy that we do not allow strollers, or car seats! This is a safety feature, we do not allow an adult to carry a child, another safety featureWe have a sign by the road, and over front door "Roller Skating Center" ! WE are a family rink with rules and regulationsWe a have dress code, we have a conduct code that is posted by skate counterWe do not allow profanity in our rinkThere are games played during skating, the birthday children are recognized and birthday song played for themWe also provide "skatemates" to our young skaters who are not accomplished skaters, to learn to skate in a safe mannerPlease be advised that rinks usually charge for the "skatemates"! [redacted] states in her complaint that there "as an injury because our chairs are connected! There was no injury reportedThese chairs are bolted together, they are used for children put skates on and used during skating sessionAnleta you should be ashamed of your selfWhen I opened the door to say I am going as fast as I can you were standing in front of a big sign on the door (no carry ins) holding a BUNCH OF BALLOONS! Did you see anyone else with balloons? It was about 12:for a 1:opening [redacted] I did you hear anyone else complain, did you hear the shout of happiness when I opened the door at 12:50? Did you hear ANYONE in any of our other parties, complain? Did you see happiness on the faces of our other parties? Did you see anyone trip over coats, shoes, boots? Did you see anyone trip over loose chairs? Did you see the skaters doing the limbo,and other fun skating games? Did you see anyone carrying a baby? Did you see l anyone but your table poutingDid you see the excitement when the Birthday song was played for our Birthday Guests, the smiles on the parents faces when they saw the OLAF cupcakesand their children opening their gifts? [redacted] you seem to have a problem excepting business rules and regulations, just plain having fun! The sadest part is that now all your family and guests saw how rude you were right to the end! Everyone is laughing and skating and your table is sad ! What a sad comentary on your way of lifeHow Awful for your children to listen to your mouth and your behaviorWe asked you to leave twice, if you had continued to be nasty the next step would be to call the police and had them escourt you outWhat a way it would have been for your children to see their party end! What a way for your family to see your behaviorMerry Christmas [redacted] , please pray for forgiveness and take some classes on how to behave and enjoy all the beautiful things God has given us! ***

I have already responded with one rejection letter and she responded again by sending the same message back to me that she sent in the first place? This does not make sense I responded last time saying that the policies not being presented to me were of my main concern and this has not been resolved I still remain that I deserve a full refund because I was not given all the information I needed to make an informed choice of where I should bring my business and I was treated extremely rudely and was outright rejected when asked for the policies in writing This is not OK

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowI will not respond to the majority of the claims of this letter as, I believe, it highlights exactly the petty and unprofessional manner in which myself and my guests were treated while at their facility I will respond by simply reiterating my point, which was that these so called "legal policies" - as *** described them - were not presented to me beforehand, nor were they presented to me when I specifically asked her to give them to me In fact, it was when I asked her to produce these policies in writing that I was threatened to be kicked out (knowing that I was responsible for looking after other people's children who had been dropped off by their parents for the party); I was not "asked to leave" at any point Because *** also did not produce these "policies" in her response to my complaint, I am remaining with my original conviction that, based on that basis, I deserve a refund In fact, even if a legal document can be presented at this time covering the policies I mentioned (Charging parents to walk in the door - even if not using facilities and only dropping off their children for the birthday partyThe "no carry-in's" including car seats or strollers - and, now, also, apparently not being allowed to be held by their parents, either - what is a parent of an infant supposed to do, exactly, with their infant child? That "no carry-in's" included other non-food itemsThat we, and my guests, would be additionally charged for storage of items - regardless of the math she estimated it to be afterwards.), the fact still remains that they were not given to me ahead of time (even though I asked via email previous to showing up) nor were they given to me at the beginning of the party when I verbally asked for them I feel that the company's purposeful misleading of information made it unlikely for me to take my business elsewhere which I would have been more than happy to do had I been aware of their not-so-family friendly policies, not to mention the incredibly rude and unprofessional staff

Minimum of 6 Children under the age of 12 to have a party anyone over the age of 12 the admission is $3.50, $1.00 to rent skates or $2.00 to rent blades. The reason that we charge everyone who comes in is that they use all the facilities that we offer, and I don't know where you can go and not pay for that service.[redacted] states that she was charged for lockers to put clothes and shoes in. This is not true! The lockers are large, they will hold the shoes and jackets of several children. You insert .50 in the locker, and you can have as 3 children sharing a locker. No one collects, they receive a key, when they leave they take the clothes and shoes out of the locker. They do not have to worry that a jacket or shoes may be stolen, spilled on,or tripped over! And in honesty that would figure out to about .17 a person. We have a policy that we do not allow strollers, or car seats!
