Got billed for a service I never received
In *** I went in for a consultation with the male owner of great vibrations. I told him I was unsure if I wanted to join or not, being and that I needed to visit with my husband first. He asked me to fill out paperwork and assured me there was no commitment until I called him back. I did not fill out my "payment" information on the contract because I was not sure if I was going to commit or not. I called back the next day and said I was not interested in doing great vibrations because I just live too far away and I was still in a commitment with another gym. He again assured me I would not be charged anything. In *** I received a phone call that I needed to provide my payment information because I was being billed for $*** due to great vibrations sending in paperwork that I filled out with a 3rd party they were working with. I called the owner and he again assured me that he "would take care of it and they were a *** company that they weren't doing business with anymore". I trusted that he was going to take care of the issue. Today ***, I received a letter in the mail from the *** that I still have an outstanding bill of $*** and that if I don't pay within 20 days I'll be sent to collections. So I called the owner of great vibrations he answered and told him I was the one who he talked to about getting sent to collections and he hung up on me. Tried calling him back 2 times and sent a text and he refuses to answer the phone, nor text me back. I clearly stated I did not want to get into a contract until I talked with my husband and I then I called him back to let him know I was not interested and he still sent out my contract. I do not feel as I owe this money due to his negligence.

Desired Outcome

Remove the $*** due to the ***.

Very unprofessional the trainer came in several times with ***. They didn't provide a fan and the stench was horrible. A couple of times the trainer and another person were so obnoxious to each other it was horrible to even work out. They offered a free evaluation on your body fat mass and you had to take that certificate to another place and the scale was broken and the trainer said yes I know but didn't let anybody else know so that was very inconvenient. I decided after the trainer came with *** and the smell of that and people stench that I could hardly breath that I would cut my loss. I didn't have a good feel for this program and when it came time to cancel I did exactly what they said. I tried to cancel how they wanted in a certified letter and I received nothing back but then they sent me to collection agency. I will let everyone I know learn about this company. HORRIBLE!!

I joined a *** 16 week challenge off *** advertised from great vibrations gym. I went to an appointment at great vibrations and was met with a marketing firm out of ***. They stated as long as you workout 3x a week for 16 weeks and send a certified letter within 5 days you would cancel any further membership with them. I wanted to take the contract out of facility to have it looked at, they said I couldn't do that. They took out 1st & last months fee of $*** each. I had the owner put an end date on the contract and sign. started *** end date ***.
I completed 3x/week 16 weeks. On the ***, close to end date of challenge I asked the owner what do I need to do to cancel this. He looked up my workouts and he put the wrong date on form and it was now past the date to send cancellation.
He said to send it in right away. I printed it out , he signed it that I completed it along with cancellation letter.. It was 6:30 pm. (***) I sent on ***, next morning. I asked if I need to do anything on the *** since that was the date on top of contract. He said No, nothing. He would take care of it. If they contact me, don't do anything let him know.
They were still taking out of account after cancellation. I changed bank card to stop payments and they have attempted a 7th month payment. He has texted me trying to get me to come in , he said since im paying for it.. I can no longer trust this business. Beware.

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I would like any payments after 16 week/4 month returned and no further contract from this business or its owner.

The client was under contract with another Company ***. She came to us for assistance in getting out of that contract in order to enroll directly with Great Vibrations. After assisting her and supplying her with the required documentation and enrolling her in our program. The client denied ever supplying us with her Credit Card Information or enrolling. We have written authorization from her authorizing the enrollment and the charges. She then did a fraudulent charge back with her bank. She both defrauded *** and Great Vibrations LLC She has been sent to collections for Charge Back fees and late Charges. Since she is under a legal contract her internal account will continue to build up a negative balance and incur late fees for 4 months. She will not recieve a refund of any kind. She will be contacted by our collection agency in compliance with the fair debt collection act. We also reserve the right to file suit in District Court if Collection attempts fail.

I have been attending this gym in Urbandale for about 2 months. I've tried other gyms countless times over the last 10 years and I've never lasted more than a few weeks. I felt bored, unmotivated and no one ever knew my name. That is just not the case here, all the trainers know me by name, they encourage me, motivate me and give me great advice. I was leaving for 5 days on a vacation and knowing I would miss many sessions they gave me work out ideas and a resistance band. I absolutely recommend this gym to anyone looking to be more than a number but rather a someone apart of a Tribe.

Location closed doors and owner is not responding to a refunding my 6 month membership fees.
I signed up with Great Vibration for the *** location in Mid *** for 6 months. However, within the first week I found out the *** location actual open hours did not reflect the websites open hours or what the owner stated to me when I signed up. *** location is the closest and most convenient location for me which is why I joined that gym. Within my first week of joining I texted the owner and told him of this and that I would like to cancel and get a refund and he would not refund me the money. The times were not convenient and did not work with my personal or work schedule. Fast forward to *** and I decided to try to sign up and possibly see if class times changed and they were no longer available on the app to schedule. A couple weeks later I decided to drive my and stop at the location and a chiropractor occupying the space had said it was closed for over a month. At that time I emailed the owner and asked for a refund for at least 3 months but would like a complete refund because I signed up for that location and I can not drive to *** and received no response. I am very unhappy with this business and how the owner had conned me into signing up for 6 months.

Desired Outcome

I am wanting the owner to refund my $*** membership fees.

The terms of this clients membership specifically state we must provide a facility within 30 miles of the facility she enrolled at. The client did not enroll at the *** Location she in fact enrolled at the *** Location. We have a facility 8.9 mile from the facility she enrolled at. This client has not attempted to schedule an appointment at any facility for 143 days. The *** location has only been closed for 30 days. She was notified of the closing via email on 12 separate occasions. Furthermore she is asking for a refund of her entire membership fee when in fact the facility remained open for 4 of the 6 months she purchased and was available for her use. We absolutely will not issue a refund but will giver her an additional 2 months. Great Vibrations is open for her use Monday Through Saturday 7 am to 730 pm. To state the facility closed is misleading and fraudulent. Furthermore we do not accept walk ins she would have needed to schedule she never made any attempt to do so nor did she attempt to contact Great Vibrations by phone text or email!

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The business owner states I enrolled at the *** location. I enrolled and signed up at the *** gym. He knows I was enrolling at the *** location (I made that clear to him during our conversations and questions I asked him) so if I in fact did enroll in the *** location he slipped that past me (which again is unethical). I think he makes a really good point I have not scheduled appointed for 143 days, which shows that times were not convenient for me and I made that clear to him within the first week and asked for a full refund at that time, which he stated he could not do. I was clearly upset by the decision I made right away (because the hours were not what was posted on the website) and I believe I deserve a refund for at least the months the *** location has been closed. I will not except a 2 month membership extension to workout clear across town. My intent of filing a complaint was to get a refund of some type and also to let others know how this business is ran. I don't think it's fair to take advantage of people like this. It appears I am not the first either as I read comments on Revdex.com website, *** and discussions with others.

The client ha now changed her story to include she immediately asked for a refund she did not. The client also states her reason for not scheduling an appointment for 143 days was due to the hours yet the hours remained the same for 4 of the 6 months of her membership yet she still scheduled no appointments. The client received a substantial discount on her membership in part by agreeing to the terms of that membership that clearly states if we close a facility we must provide another within 30 miles. The client agreed to those terms received a discount and now does not want to agree to the terms. The client states getting 2 free months is not acceptable to drive all the way across town yet per *** the *** facility is under 15 miles from her residence. Currently we have 8 clients who happily travel to our facility from *** 4 from *** and 3 from ***, This client is the only one who has voiced displeasure asked for a refund or filed a complaint. Great Vibrations LLC is in full compliance with our agreement with this client. We will not make any cash refund but will increase the free time we will give her from 2 months to 3 months either onsite or virtual training which would allow the client to train without leaving her residence. This is a retail compensation of $*** we are legally under no obligation to compensate the client at all.

I apologize for the delay, I never received an email showing a response from Great Vibrations. I refuse to continue going back and forth with this business owner on his lies. I have never changed my story. My story is the same. The point is the business owner is *** and ***. I have proof of a text where I asked for a refund within the first 2 days of signing the contact because classes were not offered at 4:30 when the website and he stated it would be. If you need that or it will make a difference I can provide that. It does not matter what other clients are doing and 8 people does not seem like many for a gym (my situation may not be the same as theirs). I do not accept an extension at a gym that is not convenient for me or is under this ownership.
