I spoke with j. s[redacted] on 2 different occasions after he did his best to intimidate my Customer Service Representatives.  We had serviced his/his mother’s home and due to a problem with our billing system, they had not received a bill and there was a balance on the account that was needless to...

say, PAST DUE!  When I spoke with him, he seemed to think he had no responsibility for paying for services rendered and I told him this was no different than any other service, that if you don’t receive a bill that doesn’t mean you don’t need to pay for the service.  While he was cursing and ranting at me he refused to apparently be able to understand what I was telling him and I asked him if I needed to repeat myself.  He immediately called me a racist and proceeded to threaten me and anyone else who did not agree with his stance that he didn’t need to pay for the service rendered. Incidentally, there were 3 people in my office at the time, one of which is African American and there was never anything said in a racial manner or implied in a racial manner for that matter.   After he hung up on me, I called him back later in the day to find out if he wanted to discuss things calmly and try and work it out?  He indicated he had no ability to pay even when I offered to accept less money than what was owed.  As a result, we picked up our garbage cart and discontinued service to him. If you need any further information from me, feel free to email me directly.  S[redacted] C[redacted]Executive DirectorGreater Greenville SanitationOffice (864) 232 6721Direct (864) [redacted]www.ggsc.gov
