Please accept the following information regarding Notice # [redacted] - Greater Midwest Property Management is hired by the homeowner to manager the property, but the renter provides the homeowner directly with the damage deposit check. Therefore, it is the homeowner’s responsibility to return a... damage deposit, if applicable. The property manager for this property, [redacted] Properties LLC, sent multiple text messages to the homeowner regarding this issue. Each property manager that works under Greater Midwest Property Management is an independent contractor. - The property manager has pictures date stamped the day after the renters moved in showing the property in livable condition. - The refrigerator on the property did work, but was not a priority because of other improvement projects that were a priority. - The renter should have a copy of the lease, as this was sent via Authentisign which is a system to sign virtually and all parties are sent a fully executed copy upon completion. - A four car garage held personal property of the homeowner located in far back acreage, which did not affect the use of the property/home. - Washer and gas dryer were installed after tenants moved in per their request. The tenant called to tell of a gas smell, and the property manager called a technician immediately for repair. - Septic system had backed up due to roots in the line, which was corrected by the septic company. The septic system is now on the schedule to be pumped as needed. It was determined by the septic company that an immediate pumping was not needed. - The tenants were paying via an auto-pay system which was set up by the tenants and not cancelled by the tenants upon moving out. The tenants left the property without giving a proper 30 day notice. September rent was due because the tenants lived in the property in September. - Upon move out, a cleaning company was hired by the property manager to get property back to rentable state.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/05/08) */
Thanks you for the opportunity to respond to this issueI have spoken with the property manager and have included her information on this matterIt is important that we all understand each others views and learn how to better serve in the
futureBelow is the managers reply
Just for clarity, *** is not on the lease for this apartment, the lease is in her daughter, *** ***'s nameWhen *** was living there,
I was only at her apartment approxtimes including the walk-thru, and one was with a maintenance man to fix some things
I asked the owner's daughter *** to come to the walk-through because of the hostility that *** has towards meIt was agreed upon, before we got there,
that *** was to receive the full damage deposit backI had been showing the place, and was actually impressed that the place looked well cared for
accept that the stove/oven and bathroom needed cleaning, that's why I only checked the stove, but later I realized how that must have looked to ***
did not reprimand me at all, and there was no arguing between *** and I at any timeI always have a maintenance man at the walk-thrus so yes, *** was
there also
*** mentioned the garage situationThe previous maintenance man, that the owner's used, was using Unit 2's garage, so Unit was given Unit 3's garage
When I found out that *** did not have a garage, I checked out and found out it was full to the top with Unit 2's belonging, so as not to cause unit 2,
an older women, any unnecessary problems with having to empty that garage, I wanted to give *** Unit 2's garageI explained this to ***, and she
continued to demand the garage belonging to unit As it was, Unit preferred to have the garage that originally was Unit 2's and so it all worked out very
wellAll of this is in texts
*** and I got off on the wrong foot when I past on a message from the owner concerning late rent and possible eviction proceedingsI have apologized to
*** for handling this the way I did because it should have been handled in a different manner*** and *** tend to text, so though I prefer phone calls,
I have replied back in textsI too have kept every text that shows a different view of things, however, I am sorry about the way things transpired, and will
make every effort, in the future, to handle things in a more positive, professional, and amicable manner
Respectfully,
***

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/05/15) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was looking for a response regarding the complaints that I made regarding my stay in unit specifically seeking what did I do wrong to warrant such behavior and threats by ***
This response is all about my parents even to the point of calling them hostileI can request my parents to submit their own complaint through the Revdex.com
It looks like shifting the blame is occurring here and no responsibility is being taken due to the tactics and behavior of ***
The bottom line: *** stepped on the screen in a very negative, demeaning, bullying mannerUsing threating tactics and continual visits to the point of where we had to tell her to stop harassing us
It was very very uncomfortable, unwarranted and came out of nowhere
*** keeps apologizing for her behavior then turns around and continue the behavior
Property Manager must abide by the lease the same way tenants doIf an owner request *** to do something that is outside the lease it is *** responsibility as a property manager to educate the owner if needed and not act aggressive and blame her behavior and actions on the owner
It's not fair to give another tenant my garage because she's older than me (the tenant also had young men living with her to move her things if needed)That does not give *** permission to try to strong arm me and tell me I cannot have my garage that I pay for monthly
I highly thought it was highly weird to be receiving text messages from a property managerThat was her method of communication, which worked for my benefit due to I now have everything recorded and logged
Lastly, yesThe owner did reprimand *** mid-sentence while she was trying to find fault during the walk throughThe owner informed she found no issues
Reporting of ***s behavior and tactics will be continuedShe made my stay at my home a living hell for absolutely no reason at all to the point of me paying for two homes at once to avoid dealing with herHer tactics will continue to be reported as I was instructed to do
Note: As instructed, I contacted Greater Midwest Realty May 5, requesting how do I report ***, no one from the company contacted me back and provided instructions
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/05/26) */
