This member claims that our member service personnel advised them that they could utilize a babysitter membership as a personal swim instructor for her childrenAll of our member service employees have advised us that that this conversation did not take place
This member purchased a seasonal family membership that covers the time period from May until the end of September Membership fees are non-refundableThis member signed an agreement acknowledging and agreeing to this policy
Last year, this same family joined our YMCA as a month to month paying memberWith this membership, the member has the option to cancel the membership after providing us with a day noticeThe cancelation form that the member signed is an agreement by the member that there will be one more membership charge during the day noticeThe member agreed to this in writing by signing the cancellation requestAfter the final payment was charged to their credit card, they disputed the charge with the credit card companyMerchant Services ruled in our favor after reviewing the facts

If I was told that my sitter will be unable to teach swimming to my kids at the pool, I would not have paid for $seasonal family membership as well as a personal seasonal membership for the sitter for $Seasonal membership is good from May to September and since the incident in late July I have not used the poolI have only used the membership for approximately one month prior to the incidentThe membership I obtained for the sitter was used for approximatelt weeksTherefore, I request a pro-rated membership fee to be refunded based on usageNot only was I incovenienced by the staff at the YMCAMy kids were unable to learn swimming as expected
