WE were quoted a price for Home Insurance. Paid it. 6 weeks later they are telling use it will cost an additional 1000. we want to cancel. they refuse
We were quoted a price foe home insurance. we agreed and paid for it. three weeks later a contract show up and we are told it does not include hurricane coverage, because we needed a wind mitigation report. we got the report and 6 weeks later we are told it will be an additional 1000. we stated we want to cancel our policy because it is to expensive and their lack of full disclosure has sent up red flags about their efficacy and integrity as a business. They are refusing to refund our payment.

Desired Outcome

we want a full refund on the full payment we made based on their lack of full disclosure of cost and coverage

Please be advised that there are a few Great Florida Agencies in the Palm Beach Area.
Our agency does not have record of this client, much less of doing a policy and not fully disclosing the coverage of such policy.
I would highly appreciate if the client, specifies the exact address and contact person with whom he dealt at the time of writing this policy and therefore our name is completely erased from this complaint, since we have no part of it.

You failed to add to the complaint...the reason the conversation became heated between the spouse and the employee was because the employee harassed my husband by failing to answer his questions and requests....Her response to him was a hateful and aggressive.."WHY did you buy the insurance!!!" Screaming it into phone and refusing to answer his questions. The failure is that of the employee who was unprofessional and not forthcoming with information.

Our office is not very big and therefore any yelling, if to occur, would be heard throughout the office. Bonnie's desk is within 15 feet of mine and if at any point she were to start screaming she would be reprimanded and possibly terminated. We don't allow for this type of behavior from our employees nor do we allow them to take abuse. Bonnie did end the conversation when the insured's spouse got on the phone and started screaming at her.

This policy has been cancelled and the insured has been given the refund. At this point, I'm not sure what more the insured is looking for. Please ask them what they would like to have happen to have this matter fully resolved.
