Review: On Jan **, 2013, I went to Greatway to purchase tires for my 2011 Jeep. I paid 1,236.64 for 4 new tires. During my drive home, I noticed the wheel alignment was off. I called Greatway and he said the worker was gone for the day bring them in tomorrow (1/**/13). I brought my car back to them to get it fixed. On July **, 2013 I took my car back to Gateway and asked the manager to look at my front tires. My car is making loud noises, and it was determined that the tires are uneven. The gentleman that sold me the tires, then proceeded to say I need struts for the car. I asked him, why he did not stay that when I bought the tires. Greatway, as the professional should have informed me that the tires would wear out if I didn't get the struts. We have been back and forth since and I don't know what to do. I would of bought the struts when I bought the tires, if I had known this. Greatway does not want to be responsible for the tires. 1,236.64 is a lot of money for bad service. I need someone to mediate this with me. I feel he should try and help me with this issue. Instead, he is now telling me I should buy different tires.. I don't know what to do.. please help.. thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like Greatway to replace the 2 front tires; I will buy the struts from them hoping nothing else arises from this situation. I don't want to return to the company in several months because of an other issue.

Ms. [redacted] came to us to buy a specific tire that is 255/75R17 BF Goodrich M/T.

We sold her the tires that she requested. We don't question customer's decision unless it is illegal, unsafe or unethical.

We have lot of customers use M/T tires on their Jeep Wrangler. That will be choppy after sometimes and they replace it. Customers using those big tires on

Jeeps just for the look. Not for comfort or performance Those tires designed for driving in mud. When she came for a specific tire, we thought she

knows all about this particular tire, so we didn't talked to her about the pros and cons about this tire.

We cannot take responsibility of this because we didn't suggest or recommend this tire. She did her own research and made the decision.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The statement that [redacted] made is incorrect. [redacted] was not in the store when my husband went shopping for tires. My husband went to Greatway to shop for new tires and that is what the gentelmen behind the counter sold him. Upon picking up my truck (after the new tires were put on), I called Grateway to say my car wasn't aligned properly. The gentlemen stated his worker was gone and I should bring my truck back the next day to fix the alignment.

As a tire professional in business for many years, he shouldn't have sold my husband those tires. In July when I drove my car to Greatway & showed him the tires.. he said I needed to buy the shocks and struts with the tire. He sold us the tires to make $1,200 and didn't care about the consequences for the customer. It is dangerous for me to drive the tires the way they are. When I continued to call him and say he was wrong for selling us those tires, he said he would try and sell the tires for me on EBAY. He would send both front tires back to the manufacturer to get new ones. When I asked him about how i'm supposed to drive to work, he didn't respond. So, now i'm out of 1,200 and need new tires.. they should be liable to help me as the customer.. i've only had the tires 6 months and both front tires are no good. I even considered going back to him to get 4 new tires, and have him sell mine. They aren't honest and so I will take my business elsewhere, to a reliable company.

I was here when they came for tires. I told both of them these tires are too heavy for their Jeep. I told them they have to upgrade the suspension.

They didn't want to spend any money. So we cannot take responsibility of the issue.

As we discussed this morning, ask them to see me, [redacted]. Let me see what I can do for them. I am doing this not because she went to Revdex.com.

She didn't give me a chance look at the issue and find our options. I didn't know about this issue until I get the call from Revdex.com.

ps: Please ask them to call and find out my schedule before they come. I am not in the shop all the time.
