To whom it may concern in regards to complaint ID *** dated 3/26/The plaintive *** *** and another passenger with her, total of passengers Jasmine called me up and asked to be picked up at *** *** *** in the Town of Greece NY and was going home to *** *** *** ***
Also in the town of Greece, NY I told her on the phone and I have a recording of the call as well I told her Greece is in the suburbs there is a charge of $ Do you still want me to send you the cab? She replied yes That is a verbal contract Then when I picked her up I said again before I pull out of the parking lot of Walmart there is a minimum charge of $ Do you still want me to take you? Again she said yes.As I was driving she said to me why is there a $minimum charge? I told her because in the suburbs there is minimum charges, all taxis have minimum charges in the town of Greece and I asked you before and after, do you still want me to pick you upYou said yes and also again when you entered the car.Then she switched over to a complete different argument She says to me why you have a sticker in the back saying from PM to AM there is a $deposit required and I told her that doesn't apply to you it is PM and that is so if I pickup from the bars sometimes the people spend all their money drinking and when I get them home they say I'm sorry I don't have money so that is a deposit only I did not ask you for a deposit and it doesn't apply to you it is pm.Then she says to me that is advertising and starts to argue with me again I told her Miss what is the problem I don't understand That is a deposit sign It has nothing to do with your situation It is a deposit and again she is going back and forth arguing with me while I'm driving It was hard to concentrate while driving She got me nervous I was entering an intersection while arguing and not giving my full attention to the road.Then she says to me , Why? because I'm black? Then I said to her Black has nothing to do with a deposit Listen I said!!! I have many, many Black friends that I really love them and they are best friends to me Now she switched times! different arguments About the minimum charge Because of the deposit sign Because she is blackThen she looks for another argument she says to me Where do I make a taxi license, where do I go? I said to the city and I pulled over on English Rd & Long Pond in the Town of Greece I pulled over and asked her, please step out of the taxi I am not taking you because you are making me nervous and I am not able to drive while I'm nervous for your safety and the safety of the pedestrians and other drivers on the road and for my safety I am not able to continue this trip I did not ask her to pay I asked her to step out of the taxi She refused to exit the carSo I called the police to help me She said ok, I'm waiting for the police too!! I said ok, no problem.So when the police pulled up behind me she exited the car and walked over to the police car and said what she had to say Then the policeman asked me what's going on I told him she was arguing too much with me and making me nervous while driving and I am not able to drive under stress and being nervous from her.Then the police asked me what she owes me and I told them I don't care about the money I just want her out of my cab So the policeman walked back to his car and told the passenger to go pay the driver The meter total was $fare plus $extra for the passenger, total $to the point where I pulled over So I just took from her $ I didn't even charge her the minimum charge and didn't even charge her for the extra passenger and I didn't ask her to pay, the police told her to pay the driver I heard the officer say that.From: Greece Taxi CoStone Rd.Rochester, NY
