We recently contracted with Green Acres Granite to have granite countertops installed in our kitchen and bathroom This was our first experience with installing granite in the house They provided a free estimate and ***, who came out answered all of our questions about granite install We received three bids from x businesses in Colorado Springs but decided on this company because they provided a 3% cash discount and 3% mil discount and their bid included providing a plumber to unhook the sinks, and install the new sinks we ordered with the install The person that came out to conduct the exact measurement templating was friendly and professional The demolition work to remove the existing countertops was done quickly and cleanly and the install the following day was excellent We are very happy with their work They came back the following week to add additional caulking and remove a bit of caulking which had dripped onto the cabinets Friendly and professional company Would highly recommend them for granite install

I approached Green Acres Granite Dec for a detailed quote on granite countertops for my kitchen and bathrooms in my houseThey were quick and courteous with the quote and explained everything in detail to meThe quote did change quite a bit (missing plumbers fees, hook ups, etc.) from the first time we approached them (Aug 2014) but not from the additional scope (originally just the kitchen to all the countertops in the house)We signed the contract and handed them the deposit (50%)I picked out the slabs and the remnant pieces we wanted use At the detail measuring day at our house, the guy measuring only detail measured with a laser the kitchen and hand measured with a measuring tape the rest of the countertops (important later) On template day in the shop, of which I arrived on time to discuss the layout with the master cutter, he was not there and they had not yet moved my pieces into the shopThen while in transit into the shop they broke one of my remnant piecesThen I had to settle for another remnant piece that wasn't exactly what I wanted On cutting day I called the shop and they said "Thank goodness you called us back!!" - but I had never received a message because they NEVER called my cell phone (of which I had given times to them) and they had written down my home number wrongIt turns out they hadnâ t even cut the granite (installation was days away) because the layout didnâ t work due to some chips in the slabs, of which no one saw on template day since they just moved the slabs in the warehouse and there was quite a bit of snow and dirt on themThen I had to run down to the shop so they could again discuss with me how to cut the granite On demo day, everything went pretty well â no major hiccups or damage left to my house due to the tile I had everywhereOn installation day the installer told me it would take only about to hours, after they arrived an hour late for the whole houseThey were there from 10:am until pmThe installation was going smoothly until one of the installers DROPPED a piece on my drivewayThen they had to call the shop and cut another piece â of which I do not believe came out of the original slab since the color is different than the rest of my kitchenThey also installed all the sinks and faucets (I provided the faucets)I did not get any granite backsplash through them since I was having someone else install the tile backsplashHowever, before they left I noticed that the master bath granite piece was CROOKED (again, it was measured with a measuring tape by hand)All the installer did was cut the caulk and pull it away from the wall, re-caulk it, and assure me that my backsplash would cover it The next morning we walked into the hallway and it was FLOODEDOne of the supply plumbing lines going to the faucets was not completely set and it leaked all night into the bedroom closet and hallwayI managed to stop the leak and I left a message right away for them but by am that morning NO ONE had yet called me backYet again, I had to drive to their office and ask for someone to fix the damageThe first thing their salesperson told me to do was to call my homeowners insuranceI told them I would not â they need to fix whatever issues they caused â I told them that they to rent some industrial fans and dry it right away to see how much was damaged(Again, why I am telling them this? Green Acres remodeled our kitchen Their craftsmanship was excellent The price and quality were top Our house is years old and they made some suggestions to keep the character and charm intact There were a few hiccups but their response and resolution of the problem was immediate and fully compensated

I approached Green Acres Granite Dec 2014 for a detailed quote on granite countertops for my kitchen and 4 bathrooms in my house. They were quick and courteous with the quote and explained everything in detail to me. The quote did change quite a bit (missing plumbers fees, hook ups, etc.) from the first time we approached them (Aug 2014) but not from the additional scope (originally just the kitchen to all the countertops in the house). We signed the contract and handed them the deposit (50%). I picked out the slabs and the remnant pieces we wanted use.
At the detail measuring day at our house, the guy measuring only detail measured with a laser the kitchen and hand measured with a measuring tape the rest of the countertops (important later).
On template day in the shop, of which I arrived on time to discuss the layout with the master cutter, he was not there and they had not yet moved my pieces into the shop. Then while in transit into the shop they broke one of my remnant pieces. Then I had to settle for another remnant piece that wasn't exactly what I wanted.
On cutting day I called the shop and they said "Thank goodness you called us back!!" - but I had never received a message because they NEVER called my cell phone (of which I had given 5 times to them) and they had written down my home number wrong. It turns out they hadn’t even cut the granite (installation was 2 days away) because the layout didn’t work due to some chips in the slabs, of which no one saw on template day since they just moved the slabs in the warehouse and there was quite a bit of snow and dirt on them. Then I had to run down to the shop so they could again discuss with me how to cut the granite.
On demo day, everything went pretty well – no major hiccups or damage left to my house due to the tile I had everywhere. On installation day the installer told me it would take only about 3 to 4 hours, after they arrived an hour late . . . for the whole house. They were there from 10:30 am until 7 pm. The installation was going smoothly until one of the installers DROPPED a piece on my driveway. Then they had to call the shop and cut another piece – of which I do not believe came out of the original slab since the color is different than the rest of my kitchen. They also installed all the sinks and faucets (I provided the faucets). I did not get any granite backsplash through them since I was having someone else install the tile backsplash. However, before they left I noticed that the master bath granite piece was CROOKED (again, it was measured with a measuring tape by hand). All the installer did was cut the caulk and pull it away from the wall, re-caulk it, and assure me that my backsplash would cover it.
The next morning we walked into the hallway and it was FLOODED. One of the supply plumbing lines going to the faucets was not completely set and it leaked all night into the bedroom closet and hallway. I managed to stop the leak and I left a message right away for them but by 10 am that morning NO ONE had yet called me back. Yet again, I had to drive to their office and ask for someone to fix the damage. The first thing their salesperson told me to do was to call my homeowners insurance. I told them I would not – they need to fix whatever issues they caused – I told them that they to rent some industrial fans and dry it right away to see how much was damaged. (Again, why I am telling them this? Shouldn’t they know this?) They go the fans out there later that morning. After reviewing the damage after everything was dry the ceiling in the kitchen had to cut away to ensure proper drying. Then they said they would drywall, re-texture and paint. Well, after their handyman came out 3 times (each only about an hour’s worth of work) and the end result looked HORRIBLE, they finally sent their “resolution” person to my house to look at the crappy patch job and suggest that we use their drywall sub-contractor. After I met the drywall subcontractor I said no (due to him fishing for the most amount of money he could). I told the resolution person that I know someone who could do this the right way and suggested that they take my original offer (which I made after the ceiling was cut out) and use my drywall contractor and deduct the labor charge from the 50% that I still owed them. They finally agreed to this - by this point it was 6 weeks after the leak.
The entire time I worked with them I NEVER got an apology for: the leak in my house, the 3 attempted ceiling patch jobs, the crooked cut of granite, the two pieces that they broke, and the amount of time that they wasted of ours (taking off of work). I never even got any discount for any of it, other than the repair work and repair material. Everything with them was always excuse after excuse after excuse. They never took ownership of any of their mistakes. I do NOT recommend them as a your countertop material or installer.

Green Acres Granite had poor customer service and a poor product.
I would never recommend Green Acres Granite to any friend or family.
They measured incorrectly both the counters and the backsplash. The first 2 crews they sent out did not know what they were doing. The undermount sinks were not flush with the counters and the backsplashes did not reach the mirrors correctly.
Seams were poorly done . We never knew when someone was coming and when they were not. The projected time for the project was 3 to 4 days and it lasted a week and a half. Even one of their own employees said he could not believe how poorly the work had been done. They tried to fix it but it is very sloppy work. When they did the demolitions, they cut away too much of the sheetrock which resulted in a poor design and unsightly mess. We could not wait till they were out of our house. The cabinets were so banged up that they will never be the same. The attitude of the staff was not professional.

Our updated kitchen looks beautiful! The granite we choose from Green Acres Granite's stock is a perfect complement to our home. We will certainly call Green Acres Granite when we update our bathrooms in the future. Their ability to offer all services needed to complete this project was very cost effective.
The staff members from Green Acres Granite were all very professional, patient and cheerful while working diligently to complete this project. They always cleaned-up the areas that each of them worked in before leaving for the day.
We will certainly recommend this company to friends and neighbors.
