I am responding to the subject complaint generated by [redacted] as it relates to service issues Specifically, the customer complains about a disagreement regarding the amount of roof damage and that our adjuster ( [redacted] ) “is mean, rude, and she lies.”This claim involved roof damage that was limited to one slope of the dwelling from the standpoint of damaged shingles Consequential issues related to roof sheathing as gapped roof boards were in place after tear off of the damaged shingles and additional layers below There was no damage to the other dwelling slope whatsoeverThe attached emails between the customers contractor and [redacted] end with the contractor agreeing with her estimate with his last response stating “Ok” [redacted] then followed up with the customer explaining the scope and figures over a telephone call as well as in writing There was no apparent issue at this point (April 27, 2015).On June 9, the customer exercised his right under the contract of insurance to demand Appraisal (Condition attached) as a means of dispute resolution They disputed that the entire roof and sheathing wasn’t being covered Attached is the Appraisal Condition that spells out the process the customer elected to invoke.The Appraisal process was completed with an award stated The customer refers to paying for their own adjuster, when in actuality it was their appraiser in the process they invoked The award was greater than what had been offered and less than what the customer was seeking After the Appraisal process it was confirmed that the insurance company’s appraiser made a $1,calculation error in the customers favor Although the error was acknowledged by the customers appraiser he was unwilling to make the correction as the award had already been signed[redacted] has been an insurance adjuster for years Summit Adjusting Service has been in business for years, which equates to handling approximately 54,claims Neither [redacted] or Summit Adjusting Service has ever experienced a Revdex.com Complaint.While it is unfortunate that disputes do occasionally arise with insurance claims, the policy contracts do provide for means of resolution The customer chose this avenue for resolution.If there is any further information I can provide please let me know.Sincerely,
