Review: [redacted], a salesman for Green’s Automotive informed me that there was a [redacted] for sale at Green’s Automotive. He brought the vehicle to my job for me to test drive it. I told him the things that I wanted fixed on the vehicle prior to purchasing it and he concurred to fixing all of those issues (3 tires were replaced). I was informed that vehicle was in great condition. On Wednesday July 30, 2014 I purchased the vehicle “as is”.

Although the vehicle was “as is” I feel that there should be some level of integrity in what information was given to me by the company. Below are the issues that I’ve had with the vehicle since purchasing it:

? On Saturday August 09, 2014 the vehicle overheated—a new thermostat and sparkplugs had to be replaced. (Cost for Parts and Labor was approximately $75.00)

? On Saturday August 15, 2014 the vehicle over heated a second time— At this point I took the vehicle to an automotive shop that diagnosed the vehicle with the following issues:

? The head gasket cause the radiator to back out the coolant—when the vehicle was started there was white smoke (this has not been fixed yet the quote that I received was for $1500)

? The clutch-fan was not working properly (Parts and Labor approximately $75.00)

? The valve stem seal was replaced (Cost for Parts and Labor was approximately $520.00)

Fixing all of the aforementioned issues with this vehicle would cost more than $2000. I feel that I was intentionally misinformed so that would purchase the vehicle. I have been a loyal customer to Green’s Automotive since the early 1990s. There should be some standard that all vehicles are held to and the “true” history of the vehicle should be available to the purchaser. Information such as the maintenance of the vehicle and pass issues should be included in the history of the vehicle. I am beyond disappointed with the way this situation has been handle. Green’s Automotive have left me with a vehicle that can not be driven. I would like the Revdex.com to look into the legitimacy of this company and how it handles the sale of vehicles.

Thanks, [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like to refunded and have my vehicle fixed properly and for the practices of the company to be investigated.

This vehicle was sold to [redacted] as is/where is. [redacted] negotiated the price with our salesman. [redacted] did submit a list of items that he wanted. The dealership honored these requests. [redacted] had adequate time to test drive this vehicle. To the best of the dealership's knowledge, this vehicle was sound and free from any of these mentioned mechanical problems. The vehicle that [redacted] traded was riddled with mechanical problems and the dealership was led to believe that this vehicle was sound.

The dealership regrets that [redacted] is experiencing these problems. Based on the sales price negotiated and the as-is warranty agreed upon, and the condition of the trade-in, the dealership informed [redacted] that it would not be able to accommodate his request for a refund.
