Green Bay Floor Restore followed the sanding and refinishing methods per the standards of the National Wood Flooring AssociationMiss *** says we sanded her floor for hoursGreen Bay Floor Restore spent a good hours sanding the existing pre-finihsed oak hardwood floorWe sanded the
floor with different levels of grit ending in grit After we sanded and properly prepared the floor for stain / sealer product, immediatlely after staining, Miss *** was noticing a darker spot of stain in one concentrated areaThe comment that was made by Green Bay Floor Restore was, " we just applied it and it needs time to dry and cure", it may be a shadowThe following day we went back because we had finish coats to apply to the floorWhen I arrived I did notice immediatley that the area that was identified as being darker immediately after we stained was truly darkerThis fact was not denied and I followed the guidelines of the NWFA standardsI determined what the problem was and determined the causeI sanded the affected area and the entire eat in kitchen area, prepped the area for another application of stain and stained the floor again for no additional chargeThe final sand process in this area was done with the same grit as we finished with on the non affected areaThe process was the sameMiss *** inspected the area and is quoted as saying " everything looks good, the floor color is consistentI really like it"The 3rd day I arrived I now had to apply the finish coats to the floorI confirmed with Miss *** when I arrived and prior to putting finish coats on that she was happy with the stain color and that everything had looked okHer response was something along the lines of being very satisfied with the color and the consistencyI applied coats of floor finishI had to come back more time because I agreed to take a piece of trim of hers with me, sand, stain and coat the piece back at my shopShe asked me at this visit if another coat of stain would make the floor smootherThe answer I gave her was, "no, stain will not make the floor smootherI got paid and I left. Green Bay Floor Restore followed the standards of the National Wood Flooring AssociationThis association sets the standards for our industryWe are confident that if a certified wood flooring inspector was to inspect this floor, Green Bay Floor Restore would be found to have done nothing wrong in the process and that the appearance of the floor would pass inspection. I think that its important to note, that for grueling days I spent trying to meet Miss ***'s expectations, I had to hear her complain about every vendor including her own brother on how they didn't meet her expectations on the other projects she had going on with her remodel.To think that the value of home will drop because the floor might not be as smooth as she thought it should be is prepossess in itself
