Green Bay Market Place Organic

Review: I went to the Green Bay Market Place at [redacted], at about 4:15 PM on July *, 2013, to buy some groceries. While walking to the store, I stopped in at the Astoria Fruit & Vegetable store at [redacted] and bought three bags of chips and a small bag of nuts, which totaled $11.27, and which were put into a plastic bag. While continuing to walk to the Green Bay Market, I opened two of the bags and ate a few chips and nuts. I then entered the Green Bay Market, found two items, and brought them up to the counter to purchase them While looking for these items I had reached in and eaten a few more chips from my bag, and didn't think this would be a problem, as they were in a bag, and I of course had the recept for them. When I came to the counter, the girl behind the counter asked me what I was buying. I replied that I was buying the two items. She then asked me "what about the items in your bag?" I replied that I had bought them at another store, and would show her the recept. I showed her the recept, and she said that it didn't list the items bought and their prices, but only the total amount. The recept also had the name and address of the store, and the time of purchase, which was about fifteen minutes earlier. She then told me that I was going to have to pay for the four items from the other store. I told her I wouldn't do that, and she called the manager, whose name I believe is "**." I explained to him that I had a recept and showed it to him, but he said that the items weren't listed individually, so I would have to pay for them. I explained to him that it wasn't my fault the recept only listed the total price, and he told me that the other store didn't sell the chips, and that I had taken them from his store and would have to pay for them. When I refused, he told me he would call the police, and I told him to do so. He then changed his mind, and told me to leave and never come back. He also wouldn't allow me to buy anything.Desired Settlement: I would simply like an apology from the Green Bay Market, and an assurance that I am not banned from the store. It is outrageous that even when I had a recept for my groceries from the Astoria Fruit and Vegetable store, that I was accused of stealing from the Green Bay Market, and told I would have to pay again for the items I had bought from the Astoria Fruit and Vegetable store. It is outrageous that the manager threatened to call the police, and then told me to leave and never return.

The management of Greenbay Marketplace did the investigation in reference to the complaint made by [redacted] on July [redacted], 2013. It is unfortunate to mention, but we have few theft's in the store for last few days. That being said we had been very vigilant about such incident's.

Our sales clerk had requested [redacted] about the open packets of chips he has been eating in the store, at such request [redacted] was discourteous. Our manager had requested [redacted] about the receipts of the items in the bags, and [redacted] produced the credit card receipt instead.

Greenbay Marketplace will atone such incidents and or judgments. We will be extra courteous to our valued and privileged customers.
