Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Until I hear back from this business I consider this case not closed yes there are numerous gaps in the communication with [redacted] who does not return phone calls and or respond to an E-mail concern. [redacted] did not call him the day after the installation was done it was 2 weeks and we were never told about certain cavity issues. The installation of this foam does not work so we are entitled to a refund!Until this issue is resolved and we get resolution and hear back from this business the case should be left open! Thank You [redacted] Regards, [redacted]

Green Building Energy Services (GBES) reviewed the proposal and installation recordsThe installation records suggest that three passive vents were not installed, as originally stated on the work scopeGBES will schedule the installation to be completed the first day it is dry enough to install
vents on the roof

We certainly appreciate the response of Ms*** Unfortunately, there is a gap in communicationAs previously stated, *** *** received a phone call from the husband they day the foam was installedAdditionally, the husband had specific contact with the crew lead the day the injection foam was installedThe crew lead specifically communicated the location of the cavities that could not be completely filled with injection foam due to blockingThe specific response from the husband was to fill the cavities as best the crew could, stating having something in the part of the cavities is better.Having communicated these facts, which are documented with an incoming phone call to *** *** cell phone, and documented by the crew lead on the job scope, Green Building Energy Services has every intention to resolve the situation*** *** will make contact with the *** directly to conduct a personal evaluation of the installation and determine the effectiveness of the installation of injection foam

The customer complained that noises from the kitchen were audible into the bedroom. Per the request of the customer, non-expanding injection foam was installed to a section of interior walls separating a master bedroom from a kitchenThe installation procedure was executed by drilling
one hole per stud cavity through the top plate, inject the foam, and plug the holes with the removed cores that were drilled. It was communicated that after the insulation was installed, it requires days to set and 5-days to cure, after which it should achieve the final state needed for the noise reduction properties to take effectIt was also communicated that any doors separating the two rooms would allow noise transferIt was also communicated that if the cavities were not full accessible from the attic, if blocking existed, and insulation could not fill the entire cavity, this would limit the effectiveness of the noise reduction. The installation was completed in the morning and the husband called that afternoon, stating the noises had not been reducedThe phone call was not returned as the foam had not cured and was not in its final state. Our operations manager received an e-mail from the customer stating that no noise reduction had taken place, and that she could still hear the microwave through the wallUpon receipt of the e-mail, our field manager was questioned on the installation to determine if there were any issues with the installationIt was communicated from the field manager that there were four cavities that could not be accessed completely from the top plate to the bottom plate, because of some blocking that was in placeIt was also communicated that the blocking was communicated to the customer's husband that there were multiple cavities that could not be completely accessedHis response was to "get what you can get."With this information, Green Building Energy Services will contact the homeowners to evaluate the installation procedures to ensure the installation procedures were followed correctly and the injection foam was installed per standard procedures

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:My husband did not call the business the next day to complain about the noise reduction and nothing was explained to me above them not being able to fill or reach certain cavities I [redacted] was here at the second installation and was told by a supervisor that the second application would definitely work for the 70% noise reduction as stated on the receipt/invoice I have attached. It has been over 3 weeks since the installation and there is NO NOISE reduction at all the noise is the exact same as it was before foam was installed into the walls the foam does not work so I want the money we paid to be returned so we can find a different method to get noise reduction.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I would have to say it got resolved the best for the business however; I have seen other complaints on the Revdex.com on the spray in insulation not being a noise barrier and to me it is not a noise barrier either.   This is resolved to the best and I know in the future to not have spray insulation installed once the walls have been completed with a builder for the next time.   I had no idea the builder would not put installation on inner walls so I have learned a lesson on spray in installation and having a house built.   I will be going into the bank to deposit this check later today and if the check is no good I will let you know.   I appreciate your help and for the benefit for me was learning about having a house built and the quality of spray in installation :)      Thank You   [redacted]

On December 31,2015 I hired Green Building Energy Services LLC to install additional insulation in my attic. The service was excellent. Not only did they improve the insulation but they caulked around windows and around all plumbing in my home. They arrived on time and were very organized. They cleaned up the inside and also the outside. I am very satisfied.

Green Building Energy Services (GBES) understanding the complaint regarding the replacement of a solar screen, to which no functional damage took place, however, there is a minor aesthetic change to one of the aluminum sections of the solar screen.
Upon being notified from the...

customer that the screen frame had been slightly bent, GBES responding and informed the customer that the screen frame would be repaired at no cost. GBES obtained the solar screen and made contact with multiple solar screen manufacturing companies in the greater Austin area. The first two solar screen manufacturer's wanted to completely replace, rather than repair the solar screen. A third manufacturer, informed GBES that they would repair the screen for a nominal fee. Upon delivering the screen, the manufacturer informed GBES that they would not repair the screen frame.
GBES received multiple calls over the first few weeks of October, and did not respond in a timely manner to the customer, and takes responsibility for the lack of communication. A recent successful exchange took place between the customer and GBES, whereby GBES committed to resolving the issue the week of October 20th, either by finding another manufacturer which can repair the screen frame, or by simply replacing the existing solar screen.
