I hired Green Cactus Landscaping about a year ago on the recommendation of a friend They started off very professional, knowledgable and their work was goodThey did a major clean up as requested before they began the weekly maintenance It cost over $to trim a couple of trees, clean out some mossy earth spots, mow the lawn, straighten the edging and rake the rocks It took guys about hours A little high, no? His prices were the highest I had received, but I decided to hire them anyway because of their promises For a while things were okay, but I questioned myself continuously if they were really worth the price difference from what I was paying and quoted by others before I had hoped that you get what you paid for, but boy, was I mistaken The results were poorer and poorer as time went on I asked them continuously to do certain things, and everything was always either an upcharge, and a huge one, or he said there wasn't enough time or it wasn't the right time I never had a perfect yard again They never seemed to be able to get everything done and everything meticulous at once I started to question myself about why am I spending so much more, as they are no better than anyone else With time, they became even worse I was completely frustrated for a while, but it came to a head when I was gone this summer, and came home to a complete mess I was mortified by what I saw The grass was completely brown in spots, many trees and bushes were dead, hardly anything was done in the month I was gone and it looked disgusting I was appalledI was paying nearly $a month for maintenance, nearly double what I had paid in the past, and I was getting a substandard job at best I fired them upon my return, asked them to return my gate key, but of course never heard from them again and the key was never returned Every little thing you ever asked them to do was such a big deal and the charges were absolutely ridiculous Every gardener I've had in the past replaced the little emitters and small things like that for free These guys were exorbitant It was like $for each transmitter head, and about $to change a sprinkler head Oh yes, they also wanted $to look at one of my landscape lights once, when again, my other guys never charged extra for any of those little things They nickel and dime you to death, and would never stay minutes overtime Real clock watchers I was appalled at their service, or lack thereof, and would never recommend these people to anyone Stay clear You will overpay and be under serviced You definitely don't get what you pay for with these guys My worst experience with a gardener ever
