Their customer service does not match their claims of the lawn service that caresI tried to get a call back for my lawn issues but couldn't get anyone to show up at my propertyAll I wanted was to give them money to do what they said they would doAfter I canceled the service to go with another company Green Carpet showed up (days later) and said they only gave me a price for about 1/of my property and the new price was double then what they quoted so I am glad I canceled and said noNever mind it took weeks and me canceling to get them to come out

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I complained about the streaky application of fertilizers (applications, still streaky in lawn color) and requested the business to fix that at their own expense I never authorized them additional payment In fact, there was never any additional payment discussed for fixing the poor quality of existing work at all, verbal or written Why what anyone double pay to achieve one thing? What they did was a poor job of applications of pre-paid fertilizers and when I complained about it, they first blamed on my soil, then bring up lime and fungicide I told them streaky lawn color can’t be caused by soil problem I told them no lime or fungicide just fix your existing problem then I might consider lime and or fungicide In fact, after they did their fix with fertilizer, there is no more streaky problemsRemember they already did pre-paid fertilizers that still created streaky lawn? That problem can be solved by some fix with fertilizer So why they recommended the lime and fungicide for problems that were not caused by lack of lime or fungicide? Some strategies are involved on their part In addition, my lawn has a lot of crab grass and other weeds after they did weed treatments Maybe that’s a strategy too? Sincerely, [redacted] ***

As stated by Mr. [redacted] he lost some areas in the summer of 2016.  We never agreed to "redo" the entire lawn.  Mr. [redacted] doesn't have an irrigation system and to properly irrigate a lawn of his size would cost $400-$500 per quarter as [redacted] has a sewer tax associated with water.  Mr. [redacted] was informed of his soil in 2015 as being very sandy with little organic matter. After speaking with Jason A[redacted] our Sales Representative, Mr. [redacted] stated that he watered in the spring, but stopped watering in the summer.  This reason combined with the 2 year drought are the cause of the lawn deteriorating.  Grass is a plant that needs regular watering, especially during hot dry periods as experienced in 2015 and 2016.  Conncecticut is currently 15" below average rainfall.  Green Carpet explained to Mr. [redacted] about conditions and tried to explain we would reseed the lawn at a discount, but he was unreasonable and canceled his account.  Mr. [redacted] also has a balance of 87.55 on his account that is past due.  Sincerely,Joe B**Green Carpet Lawn Care

Treatment, Late Spring Treatment, also the Grub Control and Insect Control.  A basic program is minimum 3 fertilizer treatments up to 5 for full lawn program. Mr did not want to pay for any more treatments.  After the Spring treatment was done he had called about streaks in lawn. Please keep in mind that we can not apply additional weed controls and fertilizers for free. [redacted] was given recommendations for Lime, Fungicide and Summer Fertilizer by our salesman during a service call. [redacted] declined the Lime and Fungicide and accepted the Summer Fertilizer. The Summer Fertilizer was done on 7/28/17 and we did not hear from [redacted] until 9/12/17 that he was not paying for that treatment. This was a verbal authorization on the phone between [redacted] and our salesman. When our office staff spoke to [redacted] on 9/12/17 about him owing the balance, he refused, but agreed that the Summer Fertilizer did help the lawn look better. Now [redacted] has a balance of 193.90 that he owes for the Summer Fertilizer and wants us to refund him 162.75 for treatments that he already received. The 162.75 will not be paid back to [redacted], and the 193.90 is owed to us and we will proceed to court.

Their customer service does not match their claims of the lawn service that cares. I tried to get a call back for my lawn issues but couldn't get anyone to show up at my property. All I wanted was to give them money to do what they said they would do. After I canceled the service to go with another company Green Carpet showed up (3 days later) and said they only gave me a price for about 1/4 of my property and the new price was double then what they quoted so I am glad I canceled and said no. Never mind it took 3 weeks and me canceling to get them to come out.

Review: I consulted with [redacted] from Green Carpet Lawn Care about eliminating weeds in my lawn especially a weed call vetch. He told me his treatments(two during the course of the season) would eliminate the problem. On April 12th they came out and treated my lawn. I was told I would see results in 5-7 days. On Monday April 28th I called and spoke to the operator and told her I had areas where it didn't appear that the treatment had any affect. She told me a tech would call me that evening or the following day. No call back. On Wednesday April 30th I called and told the operator I hadn't heard from anyone. Again she said a tech would call. No call. On Friday May 2nd I called and was told the same thing. To this date I have not received a call from this Company.Desired Settlement: I expect to be notified by a tech promptly to discuss the problem. In their literature they guarantee results. They claim they want to do "whatever it takes" to make certain you are satisfied with their service. I expect a tech to come out and see the areas in question.I expect to see some form of results from the treatment.I expect the areas to be treated with some form of results. The treatment was paid in full and I expect Green Carpet Lawn Care to stand by their guarantee.
