We had cheaper bids but wanted Lowe's back up in case something went wrong (AND THANK GOD WE DID) Believe me $15,for the small bathroom (barely big enough for a sink and toilet, and a 36xshowerLaundry room isn’t much bigger as well) was WAY over-priced, was even told so by many construction crewsWas told the job should take about to weeksI WISH!!! Started with a crappy but functional bathroom -- Ended up with a non-functional bathroom that I couldn't use till we had someone else come in and fix and finish itThere were many days they never showed up, I wouldn’t know this until late morning they wouldn’t be thereSome cause their kids didn’t have school, some cause their workers had second jobs plowing snow and some days they left early for snow, kids got out of school early and they had to leaveWeek oneWorkers were there may be a total of 15-hours – and that included the plumbers and electricianThey didn’t even show up on Wed at allI was a little concernedI mentioned it to L***, but they said don’t worryWeek Monday the workers kids didn’t have school, so they couldn’t do the workTuesday, they sent a new worker that couldn’t do much without a main worker (which never showed up) and was there only hours because he really couldn’t do muchAt this time, I again expressed my concern that the project was not going well, and I was worried about the timelineL [redacted] assured me everything was fineBathroom projects take timeL [redacted] then contacted Gossling Construction and let them know my concernsAt this time Gossling Construction started to retaliateStarted working extra slowOnly sent guy most of the time out to work on the projectArrived late, left early, took extra long lunches … On the days they showed up at allWeek – shower tiling startedShower is only a 36xspaceStarted Tuesday and to date it’s still not finished being tiled and has no grout, faucets, or shower headWeek – shower floor started – Tile ran out as L [redacted] didn’t add in the shower curb … The tiles were a specialty item and was going to take weeks to come in Expected arrival Feb 8thWorker started the tile for the bathroom/laundry room floorShower was promised to be ready to use by Jan 27th Not even closeStill not done as I write this 2/15/Week – Finished the bathroom/laundry room floor and grouted it(The floor which is not a big space took to days altogether)At this point I insisted I at least have a washer and dryer in place by Friday – Friday came, and they were talking the Washer and Dryer should be good to go by next Tuesday -UMMMM NO! Week – No workers on Monday, they didn’t give a reason – Tuesday got a call from L [redacted] saying the workers would not be back until a NEW invoice that was given to them was paidNEW INVOICE??? For another $1227.40??? After I pointed out some facts they decided to take $off the new invoice We have yet to even see this new invoiceThis was for work that was supposed to be on the quoteThey were wanting to charge us for work they had previously quoted us with exceptionWe had to have the plumber re-route the washer drain pipe for the dryer ventThey were wanting to charge us for the plumber to put the wrong ½ in drain pipe on the shower drain making it still not to code saying it was just so we could get a shower up and going (which still is not up and going) … knowing the plumber would have to come back and replace it and bring it up to codeAlso, are you telling me the $we overly paid to have this done is gone and you are wanting more money? And they walked off the jobThreatened me saying, “As for legal … every action has a reaction” Lied about my dog biting the plumber (I was there, there was NO bite) but if I went after any of them for work not completed they were going to pursue the BOGUS charges against my dogThis accusation of my dog biting was not even brought to light or even mentioned until “ [redacted] hit the fan” days later when they thought I might seek legal action to get my money back to pay for someone to do the job they were hired forAgain, retaliating against me, threatened me and not to forget extortionPlease if you have work done by this company I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!!! Finding a quality contractor can be difficult, especially in a small town *** Construction finished our basement with an attention to detail and quality of workmanship that made my husband and I very happy The project stayed on schedule and we feel we were charged a fair price on our project I highly recommend Keith and his crew for any job you want done right The high quality of workmanship was beyond anything we could have asked for!
