Green Construction Service, Inc.

My first experience with this company was about two years ago, they installed a whole house fan. I don't really recall much about the experience, therefore it must have been fine. My reason for writing this review is my recent experience when there was an issue with the fan. About 7 weeks ago I contacted the company because a piece of foam had dislodged and got stuck in the fan. I did;t know where the foam came from and didn't know if it had caused any damage and since the days were 100+ degrees and this is my only source of cooling, I needed it fixed. I called on a Tuesday morning around 7:30 or 8:00 am, but despite their website saying they opened at 6:45, I got an answering machine. I left a message, assuming someone would get back to me, I was wrong. I called again on Thursday, got a person, who said she'd gotten my message and was going to call back but didn't. I told her the problem and she said they were really busy but she would see what they could do. She called back that afternoon asking if I could be available the next day, (Friday) after 2pm, to which I said of course. I waited around all day. 2 o'clock came and went, as did 5:30, the time they close. No one ever showed up or called providing an explanation. I gave them a chance to explain but no call came Monday. I called Tuesday, and the lady was confused and surprised that no one had shown up. I re-emphasized the desperation as it was 107 that day, and was told they were really busy and the other companies in town were calling them to see if they could pick up some of their customers. Personally, I can't understand why a company would slough off their customers to someone else or why a company wouldn't make an effort to put returning customers on a priority list, but whatever. Needless to say, I didn't hear back from them the rest of that week. I called again on the following Tuesday and got the same excuse. This went on for 6 weeks!! I finally gave up and contacted Air Art. They also said they were overwhelmed but managed to make it happen. 4 days after my call, I called on a Thursday so I probably shouldn't count the weekend, and they came on Tuesday and fixed the unit. It was a simple fix that took maybe 15 minutes, but Green Construction couldn't spare the time. I will NEVER use this company again, or would I ever recommend it to anyone. I am also making sure I leave this review on every review website I can find. To me, this is horrendous business practice and disrespecting a customer is the worst violation a business can commit. It's unfortunate that this incident has soured any positive experience I may have had before because I am not disappointed in the product. I guess if you only use this company for an initial installation, they will provide good service. Makes me feel that money is more important to this company than customer relations.
