Company puts block on secured card without removing it even after sending proof. They took my money and now I can't use the secured card.

Used green dot card to get my stimulus check irs says my dd was 5/13 as of today still not deposit. Apparently I'm not alone not o ly did my friend experience the exact same thing but I found a page where .Krebs that 600 people used the walmartmoney card issued by green dot bank and they haven't received their payment either

I got a card a few years ago everything went well until I lost my card but because I didn't use it that often I didn't notice until I tried to access my government subsistence check. I tried calling and have emailed Green Dot and have yet to talk to someone. With their automated system and having to have card in hand to get a hold of anyone is quite a nightmare. All I ask is help accessing my $.

I believe they stole my income tax return. Now I believe they are after stimulus check ks. I received a fraudulent email with another person's name and whole different account. Someone is hacking, getting cards to steal. When speaking to the representative of she sound *** n had the nerve to tell me to be careful. That's a threat. I think thieves need to be careful who they are stealing from and scamming. Sounds like with people being defrauded there may be a class action lawsuits. Things do need investigated with this company.

I moved from NY to Philadelphia which is not a big deal but Greendot refuses to allow me to use my card because of it. I have called in 16 times in the past 3 weeks (for more than an hour each call) and they keep asking me to email in a copy of my lease and an ID. Sometimes they ask me to send an email to ***, sometimes it's ***, sometimes it's addressupdateatgreendot.com and sometimes it's ***.
To date I have emailed them more than 80 times. I have even gotten responses (in very broken english) yet when I call the number on my card they continually tell me no email with a copy of my lease or license has ever been received.
Just today I spoke with a supervisor named "Kate" [employee # ***] that told me to send the email in and she'd take care of it within 2 hours. When I called back the Supervisor named "Jocie" [employee # ***] said she never heard of her and said they received no emails from me and hung up on me.
I have no faith in this company and no access to my money. Every time I ask them to refund my money or give me the address where I can serve papers to they either hang up or lie to me and tell me corporate will call me within 48 hours.
This institution should not be allowed to handle finances! Revdex.com I would greatly appreciate if you could help me because the money I uploaded on this card is inaccessible and yet I'm still being charged monthly fees. My first call to them was on February 17th. It's now March 8th.

They ripped m e off if my 200 dollars I cancel them because tgey claim your credit score will go up mine went down they lie

I got a secured visa with 2k, they asked me to revering my checking account 6 times in the 5 months I was a customer, every time I made a payment they would ask me to resend my bank statement to prove it was me. I have since paid my balance closed my account and 90 days later have still not sent my deposit back. $2k gone who knows if I will ever get my money back

Green Dot Bank engages in deceptive and fraudulent practices. It advertises misleading and false promotions to entice potential consumers to open an account with them. I'd rather deal with *** or *** where custoner service reps speaks in plain English. Support American banks only.

I am out of $900 dollars due to greendot scamming me. I requested that they cancel my card because they never sent me a new one that I requested in the first place so I just said close the account out and to send me a check they told me to email them I did as well as they were going to issue my check out via USPS mail I never received my check in the mail when I tried to call them back they never answer the phone they either send you to a automatic system that I can't get into because now that my account is closed I don't have an account number to give a card number to give nothing now I can't even speak to anyone and I still don't have my $900 I am beyond angry. Do NOT USE THIS SERVICE

Green Dot Money Card has horrible customer service. Its Indian agents are heavily scripted and they just go through the motions on the call barely making any effort to assist the customer.
Green Dot use to attempt to acknowledge disputes with merchants. Now they do not. They refuse to take a dispute. Their agents have been trained to ask the customer for the particulars of a situation while already knowing before the person begins to speak that they wont take a dispute and they will tell the individual to wait long time periods for a return of their funds.
Possibly in violation of U.S. Financial Law.
I have a charge pending on my greendot card from a hotel I never stayed in. I wiled a complaint with the hotel and was told they did not charge me.
So the charge has been pending for two weeks.
Greendot refuses to contact the hotel or remove the charge.
They refuse to do anything to help their own customer.
I believe this clearly violates Texas DTPA act.
I just contacted Walmart moneycard and spoke with an agent who said nothing but 'I'm sorry' repeatedly. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she kept refusing until finally she agreed and she sent me to an account specialist who also said they would not take a dispute. She then demanded to know was I recording her (even though they were recording me) and although I wasn't recording I refused to answer that question because in Texas I dont have to.

Greendot has told me I will need to wait upwards of 3 weeks to receive my pending funds.

I got a secured Credit Card with a $600 deposit. They blocked it for "security reasons" and when I called they said that "Visa" blocked it. I asked them to unblock it because there was no fraud and they said they couldn't unblock it that "Visa" had too. I asked for "Visa" phone # and they said Visa didn't have a number! They could not help me and this wasn't even a prepaid card! I closed the account over a month ago and they owe me $191 that they 37 days later have still not paid me. So pissed! BEWARE of this company. DO NOT get a secured credit card! They block your money and then won't give it back!

3/1/19 I purchased a Greendot prepaid card to pay a small bill. I registered the card and payed the bill online. Unfortunately the bill company sent a letter saying the bank of greendot card would not release the money. I called Greendot on number provided on the card. I spoke to a customer service rep that kept reading script and told me not to interrupt him until he was finished. I was not agreeable to him telling me I would be forwarded to an automated verification and he would help me after. I then was forwarded to automated prompt and verified my personal info. The rep would not explain why the card or bank did not pay. I attempted to log online website account and noticed a mthly payment fee was deducted from total amount. Today is March 14, 2019. I was so disappointed and said cancel card and send my balance. Rep gave a # to cancel I called only to hear auto prompts to answer questions to purchase products. Can't believe they use the Revdex.com logo representing an A+ on their website. I lost $20.00 but will blog as much for others to know do not buy into Greendot. A Rip Off company.

this type of service with a prepaid card doesn't deserve 10 negative stars they're basically stealers and their customer service system is horrible and they do absolutely do nothing to help but frustrate you and lose your money they charge fees for every little thing and they're a *** fraud company. although within their system I put a balance on I cant buy anything online they are a blood sucking company, if you want to claim your money back you cant because in the system there isn't an option for that to claim your money back. NEVER USE GREEN DOT PREPAID CARDS

Their cards doesn’t work and they never answer a phone! I lost my $500
