Mr *** is an active member that was placed in collections due to non payment of his membership (monthly)He failed to submit a day cancellation notice in order to close his account since November of He did not notify us in writing via certified letter as requested and agreed upon with
both parties, and signed by Mr ***He failed to do so and is now trying to circumvent the procedures in order to avoid paying his gym duesWe have the signed agreement which indicates how to cancel his membershipHe need to provide the proof of the certified (receipt) for he claimed he sent and we will honor itIt is our conclusion that he did not follow the agreed process

NJ Fitness, had no reason to keep charging my debit card after my year contract endedFor the whole period of time that the contract was vigent my Bank paid on time and on month to month basis, once I finished my contract I spoke to the manager of the gym to finish my subscription, He ask me, to send a letter to their headquarters, which I did the day after, according to the managers directions , following the letter, I told my bank to stop any future payments to the gymunfortunally, I have not made a copy of the cancellation letter sent, but this is absurd and a irregular rule from the gym that does not let their clients end their contract even if They finish their legal contract periodI am really upset and concerned about the gym procedures in order to let their customers end the subscription, besides, that They are ruining my credit record and making really dificult to move on with my financial lifeI sent a letter to them, They kept try to charge my card avoiding that a contract was already finishThey send me to collections for $which I do not even understand how, since the month fee is only $a monthI deeply regret that ever sign a contract with this gym, this gym has no ethics,no morals, no respect for their customers, and it does not care for anything but making money however They can, even ruining customers credits records left and right

Ms ***s filed a dispute with her bank and requesting a personal refund at the same time, this is a duplicate process in an effort to cheat the systemMs ***s refund is approved and awaiting her banking request to release the fundsMs ***s has been notified of this on April 18th via certified
letter that she has choices, to stop the bank dispute and bring a letter from the bank stating this and pick up her refund check or forward the letter to her bank to expedite the processTo date no response from either partiesI have mailed all pertinent copies to Revdex.com as well

I am rejecting this response because:NJ Fitness is lyingAGAIN! How can I be trying to "cheat the system" when I have text messages proving I am owed a refund AND audio of a conversation with the manager stating I am due a refund, but not going to receive it? Further, their scamming tactics are evidenced by the volumes of other consumers who have filed bank disputes, Revdex.com complaints, and other negative feedback on various media outlets The only thing I am guilty of is not doing my due diligence when choosing a gym It has become increasingly evident that NJ Fitness is very hand to mouth and survives off of cheating their customers out of their hard-earned money Once I receive the written correspondence they claim to have sent me stating I am due my refund, I will discontinue the dispute As is the nature of filing a dispute, I took this route because the company, NJ Fitness REFUSED to refund my money and was avoiding my phone calls (Please refer to the Verizon phone logs AND text messages AND audio)
