I had an overall bad experience dealing with my local storeI recieved an exchange instead of the refund which was better than nothing but the entire process was less than agreeable The product I was trying to return was one of light up portraits of a city skyline that were on boxing day sale for 5$Two of the three were in working order but the third did not light up e.git didn't workThe store clerk/manager first checked that it wasn't working by putting in some batteriesSure enough the portrait didn't light up as expectedShe then "attempted" to process the return but said that they could not do anything about it because it was a "final sale" [redacted] Additionally this was a boxing day sale item and it was never stated that this was final sale at the time of purchase I ended up getting the portrait exchanged and asked if she could test out the portrait before we left the store to make sure that we have one that is in working orderShe then told me that her batteries weren't working, despite having put some into the returned portraitAt this point I said "well I'd like to make sure that we've bought one in working order before leaving so what can we do if this doesn't work?"The clerk then stated that this is the last exchange possible and that there basically wasn't anything she could do [redacted] At this point I said I appreciate the exchange and left the storeAfter leaving the store I went to store website and checked their policies and their sale items Having read the return/exchange policy of the company and finding the item, [redacted] From the online store the item isn't on sale so it appears that this boxing day sale was not an official company saleFrom their policy statement they state "Green Earth reserves the right to refuse the return of any merchandise at any time and for any reason"I can understand that the company should protect it's interests but in this case I was refused a very reasonable service requestI simply wanted to check that the new item was in working order before leaving the store since I now was told that it was a final saleHad I known that the item was a final sale item the first time I would have ask that it be tested before purchasing [redacted]

I had an overall bad experience dealing with my local store. I recieved an exchange instead of the refund which was better than nothing but the entire process was less than agreeable.

The product I was trying to return was one of 3 light up portraits of a city skyline that were on boxing day sale for 5$. Two of the three were in working order but the third did not light up e.g. it didn't work. The store clerk/manager first checked that it wasn't working by putting in some batteries. Sure enough the portrait didn't light up as expected. She then "attempted" to process the return but said that they could not do anything about it because it was a "final sale". [redacted] Additionally this was a boxing day sale item and it was never stated that this was final sale at the time of purchase.

I ended up getting the portrait exchanged and asked if she could test out the portrait before we left the store to make sure that we have one that is in working order. She then told me that her batteries weren't working, despite having put some into the returned portrait. At this point I said "well I'd like to make sure that we've bought one in working order before leaving so what can we do if this doesn't work?". The clerk then stated that this is the last exchange possible and that there basically wasn't anything she could do [redacted]. At this point I said I appreciate the exchange and left the store. After leaving the store I went to store website and checked their policies and their sale items.

Having read the return/exchange policy of the company and finding the item,[redacted] From the online store the item isn't on sale so it appears that this boxing day sale was not an official company sale. From their policy statement they state "Green Earth reserves the right to refuse the return of any merchandise at any time and for any reason". I can understand that the company should protect it's interests but in this case I was refused a very reasonable service request. I simply wanted to check that the new item was in working order before leaving the store since I now was told that it was a final sale. Had I known that the item was a final sale item the first time I would have ask that it be tested before purchasing. [redacted].
