[redacted] and [redacted] were not ready to come back to the gym and they contacted the studio after their accounts resumed regular charges. Outstanding charges were waived and studio collected only freezing fees. Their memberships got cancelled in December.

Review: Hi,

Me and my husband joined the gym to get in shape for our wedding. Before our wedding, out of state, we talked to Green fitness gym to put our account on hold, in person, as well as on the phone. Finally after the run around, they told us to email them. Finally weeks later they emailed us saying the account was on hold. We had wanted the freeze to start September. Since the wedding, we have been on budget so we have not used the gym since it was on freeze. But today, I got a phone call from a collection agency telling me our credit card payments have not been going through. After telling the lady that this was incorrect, she said they did not have that in their system. This was the first notice I received that I was even getting charged... Now in the month of November. So I called the manager to explain that we were erroneously being charged and she said she could not help us or change it in the system, that it was only on freeze the month of September. When I asked her to correct this error she refused, and continues to work out the situation until we pay the balance! Why would we pay the balance for a gym membership that's supposed to be on freeze? We have still not reconciled the erroneous charges and cannot get her to fix the problem. We then emailed an official cancellation notice. However now they are telling us we cannot cancel or close an account until the balance is paid! We just want to correct the error, update the system to reflect our initial freeze of membership until we are ready to come back. We have no copy of our contract, no terms of the membership freeze, and none of our efforts have worked to correct the situation.Desired Settlement: To keep our membership on hold starting from September [redacted] until the present, receive invoices for payments due, as well as membership freeze terms which we should have received as the process started.

Review: I was a member of the gym. In July of 2013 I requested a hold on my membership, I was informed they would not be able to give me a hold, and that I would need to give 60 days notice. I was not happy with the answer so I closed my membership. It is now 10 MONTHS later and I was charged for my "membership" I called the gym and spoke with [redacted] of gym, [redacted], and he explained to me I only asked for a hold and not complete closure of my membership. I explained to him that I CLOSED my account, not put it on hold (for 10 MONTHS btw??????). I explained that their must be some confusion, and he refused to accept what I was saying and credit back the charge. I've since spoken to the bank, reported the fraud and unauthorized use of my CC and plan to file a small claims court complaint.Desired Settlement: A full refund of $82.56 and written apology including the acknowledge of me NO LONGER being a member and not a member for 10months

Review: I purchased a personal training session for a friend as a birthday gift, back in July 2014. The gym advertised female trainers. When my friend called to set up an appointment, she was told there are no female trainers. Since she didn't want to work w. a male, I asked for a refund. Despite numerous phone calls and emails since this past summer, I am still owed a refund.Desired Settlement: That they refund the full coast of my purchase.
