Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 9, 2015/06/26) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] (manager) Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: [redacted] @yahoo.com When Mr [redacted] came into Green Genie Pawn Shop looking for a Laptop to purchase he was told that all items are SOLD AS IS no returns or refunds but on Laptops we give a day SOFTWARE WARRANTY this only covers viruses and spyware I had several Laptops for sale and to choose from but he saw that I had an ALIEN-WARE LAPTOP that was not out for sale he was very interested in this Laptop I told him that my computer techdid not work on this laptop just yet that's why it was not for saleBut he insisted that this was the computer he wanted, this computer was originally priced at $but because of the computer not being check out by my techI told Mr [redacted] that I will sell it to him for $that was purchasing the laptop AS IS which he agreed upon at the time He then said he did not have the money for it if he can put it on LAYAWAY So even though I lower the price by 50% I still agreed to put the laptop on LAYAWAY for him He also requested for us to install Window's on it we normally charge $to install but we said we will install it for no additional cost So at the time my Computer Techstarted the install of windows he discovered that there was an issue with installing the windows onto the hard drive I then contacted Mr [redacted] and told him the situation with the laptop and it would cost an additional $to repairI gave him the option to get his money back or he can pay 50% of what it will cost to repair which $was even though he bought the laptop AS IS I still extended the offer to help him Also while the Laptop was getting repaired he needed a Laptop ASAP so even though he still owed money on his LAYAWAY I loaned him one of my laptop until he can pay off the laptop that he wanted He took months to come back and pay off his laptopWe then had him turn it on make sure it was what he wanted, at the time he was satisfied Then about over week after he called us back saying that he was having too many issues with the laptop if he can return itI told that our policy is NO RETURNS NO REFUNDS I can buy back the laptop for 50% of what it costSo he asked if he could exchange it for another Laptop which I said that was finding because I was trying to help him out I told him the laptop I loaned him cost the same price of the laptop that he purchased if he likes I would not mine switching themBut then he had changed his mind and wanted to trade for one of the Guns that I had for saleThe gun cost more than what the laptop cost but he did not want to pay any additional costI told him that I could not do that he would have to pay the difference in the price So as much I have tried to work with Mr [redacted] and his situation and extended him so many discounts and offers he was not satisfied I am sorry that he was not satisfied with his purchased but all items are sold AS IS and I did try to work with him but I do have RULES that I have to follow

I had several Laptops for sale and to choose from but he saw that I had an ALIEN-WARE LAPTOP that was not out for sale he was very interested in this Laptop I told him that my computer tech. did not work on this laptop just yet that's why it was not for sale. But he insisted that this was the computer he wanted, this computer was originally priced at $700.00 but because of the computer not being check out by my tech. I told Mr. [redacted] that I will sell it to him for $349.99 that was purchasing the laptop AS IS which he agreed upon at the time.
He then said he did not have the money for it if he can put it on LAYAWAY
So even though I lower the price by 50% I still agreed to put the laptop on LAYAWAY for him.
He also requested for us to install Window's 7 on it we normally charge $108.50 to install but we said we will install it for no additional cost.
So at the time my Computer Tech. started the install of windows 7 he discovered that there was an issue with installing the windows 7 onto the hard drive.
I then contacted Mr. [redacted] and told him the situation with the laptop and it would cost an additional $200.00 to repair. I gave him the option to get his money back or he can pay 50% of what it will cost to repair which $100.00 was even though he bought the laptop AS IS I still extended the offer to help him.
Also while the Laptop was getting repaired he needed a Laptop ASAP so even though he still owed money on his LAYAWAY I loaned him one of my laptop until he can pay off the laptop that he wanted.
He took 2 months to come back and pay off his laptop. We then had him turn it on make sure it was what he wanted, at the time he was satisfied.
Then about over 2 week after he called us back saying that he was having too many issues with the laptop if he can return it. I told that our policy is NO RETURNS NO REFUNDS I can buy back the laptop for 50% of what it cost. So he asked if he could exchange it for another Laptop which I said that was finding because I was trying to help him out.
I told him the laptop I loaned him cost the same price of the laptop that he purchased if he likes I would not mine switching them. But then he had changed his mind and wanted to trade for one of the Guns that I had for sale. The gun cost more than what the laptop cost but he did not want to pay any additional cost. I told him that I could not do that he would have to pay the difference in the price.
So as much I have tried to work with Mr. [redacted] and his situation and extended him so many discounts and offers he was not satisfied
