I see the complaint was closed because it was seven days without response, but can you please reopen it? Our concern is still unresolved. The business owner said they would be out between Jan 2-4 but they have not come out yet. I didn't feel like I could complain again within the seven days because they had said they would be out and I needed to wait, but now that they have missed their deadline I feel it is still an active complaint.This company has a history of promising to come but missing appointments with no calls and/or explanations. They had also promised to come out today, but so far we haven't heard anything from them. I'd like to keep this complaint open please

The job was completed and units registered with manufacturer on 8-20-15.  Green Hill Mechanicals labor and humidifier warranty expired on 8-20-16.  In good faith to the owner Green Hill has run two service calls even though the unit is out of warranty.  The...

manufacturer has agreed to replace the faulty equipment, once we receive the replaced unit Green Hill will install.  I expect to receive the new humidifier tomorrow 12-30-16 with the holiday it could be early next week.  Estimated install date 1-2-17-...1-4-17.

You can cancel this request to reopen the complaint.  Greenhill did make a visit today - 1/6/17 to resolve the issue.  Thank you for your assistance in getting them to fix their mistake.

this is where I addressed his complaint from that day.

Review: I notified Green Hill Mechanical (GHM) owner [redacted] on 1/5/2015 that my electric bill seemed to be too high month after month even though we were taking all precautions. [redacted] said he would send someone out to look at it.GHM Geothermal Tech #1 and #2 arrived on 1/14/15 to assess the issue with the Geothermal unit installed by GHM in 2014.On 1/14/15, both techs attempted to test the unit itself, specifically the compressor, to make sure it was working correctly. Everything seemed to be OK. Both techs came upstairs to check out the thermostat. Within a minute, the techs could tell that the thermostat was configured incorrectly. The thermostat was set to 1-stage cooling and 1-stage heating, instead of 2-stage cooling and 3-stage heating.Tech #1 said he was the initial installer of the thermostat. He said he was new to GHM at the time of initial install, but was attempting to set it up correctly. He said that [redacted], the co-owner of GHM, was the reason it was not configured as it should have been. I do not know if [redacted] told him how to configure it incorrectly or he was simply rushed to get the job complete, but that is where the mistake happened. On 1/14/15, within 5 minutes, Tech #2 had a new thermostat set up correctly. Tech #2 also said that I was basically using Emergency Heat because the thermostat was set up incorrectly the first time, and that I was operating at 15% efficiency. Tech #1 and #2 stayed until they were sure all systems were operating correctly and left.The effect of a properly configured thermostat was dramatic. Even though the Jan 23, 2015 bill had 7 days of correctly setup thermostat, and the February time-frame was 4.5 degrees colder on average, the amount of usage dropped by 43.6% in February. My bill was ~$300 less even though the time period was colder. I contacted GHM via email to receive a refund for the excessive electric bill amount because GHM incorrectly configured the thermostat. GHM did not respond.Desired Settlement: I contacted both my utility company, [redacted], and the maker of the geothermal unit, Water Furnace, that GHM installed for my house. Both agreed that the improperly configured thermostat would result in at least a 50% inefficiency, and that my usage from month to month proves it.Adding all previous billing periods together ($3039.63) where the thermostat was setup incorrectly, and subtracting 50%, the refund from GHM to me should be $1519.82.
