could set up an appointment for me to look at his car because the paint was peeling. He brought the car in and I looked and did notice several small rock chips along the bumper and hood. There were some parts of the car where it appeared the clear coat was peeling. There was evidence of touch up paint over some but not all of the chips
When we sold him the car it had 80,671 miles on it. He had asked our service department to look at the car and they had advised the paint would not be covered under warranty.
We offered to take another look at the vehicle and see if there were other options available to assist him. I made it clear we were not offering to fix the paint problem but were looking for a lower cost option for the customer. I mentioned to Mr. [redacted] that I was going to be out of town the following week, but that I would have our KIA service manager contact him. I spoke with [redacted], Service Manager at Kia, and asked him to double check the availability of warranty coverage and if there was none, to explore other options.
Mr. [redacted] did leave me a message while I was gone asking for an update. I forwarded the voice mail to Mr.[redacted] and asked him to follow up. Mr.[redacted] sent me a message letting me know the cost of the repair. I asked Mr.[redacted] to offer the repair at our cost explaining we would take care of the rest. Mr.[redacted] relayed the cost information to Mr. [redacted].
We have had no communication with Mr. [redacted] since he was offered assistance with the cost of repainting the vehicle.
If Mr. [redacted] would like to take advantage of our offer, he can contact Mr.[redacted] at our [redacted] Service Department.

I do not feel that I should have to pay for the car to be fixed. Green Kia sold me a car that after a couple of washes the paint came off.I understand that paint over time will deteriorate but not after a wash. I expect better customer service than that. If the matter isn't resolved through the Revdex.com than we'll proceed to the Attorney General.
