My experience was awful. I've learned the company cares far more about keeping their review scores high than actually rectifying mistakes. My experience was so bad the owner agreed to give me the full $487.30 refund I wanted but only if I never shared my experience... I did not feel this appropriate. Here's my story. I scheduled tuneups for my AC units. The technician neglected to cover the bathroom drains that the AC units drained to before blowing out the lines. The result was black gooey crud all over 2 sinks and 1 wall/towel/toothbrush/etc. Further, the technique they used led to a clog in one of the sink drains past the p-trap, discovered after I cleaned the mess. (There are other ways to maintain AC drain lines without blowing all the crud that may be in them directly into the sink drain.) The tech apologized for the mistake but only had paper towels to clean up the mess, so I told him I'd take care of it. I expressed unhappiness with having to pay the full bill, but he would not let me talk to a manager. It took me over 8 hours to clean the sinks and drains. The black goo from the sink got all over one bathroom wall/towel/sink. It was nasty enough to stain parts of the wall to the point that the stains only came off after enough scrubbing to remove the paint. The technician also left our backyard gate wide open when we left. We found out when a neighbor returned our dog about 30 minutes later. Fortunately this mistake didn't cause any harm. When I talked to the owner the next day, he offered me a discount of $129 on my $487.30 bill. I did not feel this sufficient for the trouble the mistakes caused. I asked for a full refund, and he refused. He told me there was no way it took me 8 hours to clean the mess, and that his tech's paper towels would have handled it. He ignored the clogged drain his technician caused. The next day he called and offered a full refund if I agreed to not slander his company. I don't lie, so this was acceptable. Then I got his email with his real terms. I would get a full refund as long as I never shared my negative experience. And if I ever did share it, he would consider the refund void and press theft charges. See screenshot of the email. I was not willing to take on such liability. I asked him to give me the refund he thought appropriate with no strings attached. I pointed out I was not going to use the 2 fall tuneups I had prepaid for, so I wanted that refunded as well. He agreed. When I received my refund, it was only for $80, the cost of my two unused tuneups. No compensation for the mistakes or damage. I inquired again about compensation for the mistakes and have received no response. It is sad to see that once the owner thought he could not prevent a bad review, he stopped caring. Had he just given me a significant refund for all of the trouble caused, I would have moved on and not taken the time to document all of this and share. But instead he made clear the only way he would give a decent refund was if I didn't share my story.

I am rejecting this response because:

In "completing" the services I paid for, the business caused drainline matter to be sprayed all over 2 sinks and 1 bathroom wall/towel/toothbrush/mirror/etc, and caused one bathroom drain to become clogged. The business offered to wipe the unsanitary material off with paper towels, which does not solve the problem. I had to deal with unclogging the sink drain myself. Cleaning the wall, stained by the sink material, resulted in paint being removed in spots. In all, I had to spend 8 hours cleaning up after the business provided its services.

Pictures of the mess caused, along with the clogged drainline, are attached. I've also included a screenshot of the email where the owner agreed to give me a full refund but only on the condition that I keep my experience secret, and that if I shared it, the refund would be void and he would press theft of service charges. This is not how an A+ Revdex.com business should be conducting itself.

My AC was blowing cool air and the fan was not coming on in my outside unit. I was worried that it might be time to replace the outside unit. Anyway, I called and made an appointment to have a Green Lead Tech come out and assets the situation. Chino S arrived at my house and asked me a couple of questions about what was going on then he immediately goes into my attic where my 3 ton unit is located and noticed that my drain line was clogged and needed be flushed. As soon as he did that my fan and outside unit came on and it’s still on ?? Anyway Chino advised me when I change my AC filter every 30 days to also flush out the drain from any build up with some white vinegar or bleach. He said your unit should be running fine now but if something else were to happen then give then a call and they will be back at my address asap. I’ve been using Green Leaf Services for a couple of years now and from Eddie and his staff are all on point and they really care about their customers. I truly recommend Green Leaf to anyone who’s looking for some honest people that won’t give them the run around and they will work with you like Eddie-has done for me in the past. Again thank you Chino S for your helping me and my family sleep better tonight ????

I'm not sure why a complaint is filed if a resolution has been taken care of with same day service. We did not even charge you service for the clogged drain line your unit has due to the lack of maintenance that was not performed on your system. Tune ups that consist of blowing out your drain lines are HIGHLY recommended every summer and fall. None if which was done on your behalf. Also on your receipt, is a discloser that states that. We have copied and pasted below.

Limited Liability Warranty. All materials, parts and labor are warrantied for terms of 30 days unless described on this invoice. Green Leaf A/C and Heating LLC is not responsible for any damages done by abuse of the customer, negligence and no or improper maintenance. Green Leaf A/C and Heating LLC reserves the right and service to anyone. Labor is warrantied for 30 days unless described on the estimate. A Restocking fee of 5% may be billed for any returned items returned to distributors based on replies authorizing the purchase of goods and services.

We did not even charge you service for the clogged drain line your unit has due to the lack of maintenance that was not performed on your system.
