The contract states the following" All classroom instruction, including make-up classes, and all instructor led Behind-the-wheel instruction, must be completed by the contract deadline date or the CONTRCT WILL BE TERMINATED"- Parent must initial this statement. 2. Parents receive a copy of the contract at the time of registration. 3. In addition to the contract acknowledgements and copy of the contract provided to parents, parents are encouraged to attend a parent orientation class. At this parent class, the contract deadline and make-up policy and procedure is fully explained. This customer attended the parent orientation class. 4. The customer provided Green Light Driving Academy two post dated checks, asking us to wait one week and cash one check and then cash the second check the following week. The first check was held until requested time and then deposited. The check was returned for Insufficient funds. Multiple attempts both phone and email were made to collect funds that were due. 5. The contract began on 5/13/13, the student began class and did miss one classroom session, on 10/1/13, the parent came into our office and paid $100 cash. A balance of $300 for tuition was still owed to GLDA. 6. The student had multiple opportunities to make up the classroom session, from the end of his classroom session, 6/6/13 until the end f the contract period 5/13/14, to make up the classroom session that was missed. While we did not allow student to begin the driving portion of the class until the balance owed was paid. The student could have made up the classroom portion at any time but failed to do so. Student choice not GLDA choice.7. When the student contract expired on 5/13/14- following state law, the contract was terminated and the student's learner's permit was cancelled. (When a student fails to complete the classroom portion of the class, the learner's permit must be cancelled) - 8. Amount paid by the parent $100 on 10/1/2013 cash and $360.55 paid by credit card for a total of $460.55. ( Normal tuition price at the time was $400 cash/check.) The additional $60.55 was for ISF and credit card convenience fees. I have receipts and credit card slips to document the amount of money paid to GLDA by this family. I also have one ISF check and one that was never deposited. 9. A refund check for the amount of $23.40 was issued to the parent. This amount was determined by the refund calculation sheet and based on the amounts per class session at stated in the enrollment contract. This check was mailed but not sure if ever received. 10. As far as the "stalking" issue, to my knowledge no GLDA employee has contacted or attempted to contact this family in any manner other than for official purposes on the dates stated above.
