I had an excellent experience dealing with Green Monarch Mortgage. I am a veteran and wanted to refinance to a lower rate as part of the IRRRL (Interest Rate Reduction Refinance Loan) incentive program. Called Green Monarch after getting an advertisement in the mail. Got a terrific rate (2.875% 30 yr. fixed) with very minimal fees. Naturally, I had a lot of questions about the process. My mortgage officer (Bryan P) is a terrific guy and was very patient with all my questions. He always followed-up with my emails/phone calls in a timely manner and made sure to carefully explain everything so I could understand the process. Even got a $200 lender credit from the owner (Keith). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to friends or family. Great company.

Recently did a VA IRREAL refinance rate of my current VA home loan. Loan agent was originally cordial but decided to wait for the lowest possible rate and that was ok. Once loan processing was started and things got moving he promised the loan points(his commission) were to be paid by the lender. Then I received more than 7 loan cost sheets by mail and email each being about 7 pages long it made comparing the usual costs and loan costs making it very difficult. Being a new agent he could not explain the many ever changing costs on these mailings to my satisfaction. I lost trust in him and will never do any future business with this mortgage company again. Since I had title and escrow experience I did see through it all. The only complaint is he was not truthful in saying the lender would pay the one point origination fee when at the last minute the loan fee would be charged to me the borrower. Be very careful with Green Monarch Mtg if you ever do business with them in the future.
We acknowledge that the mortgage refinance process can be a confusing and overwhelming due to the complexity of the Federal and State disclosures required to be reviewed by each borrower. We pride ourselves at Green Monarch for being accessible and willing to explain any and all disclosures with our clients. Mr. did call and reviewed disclosures with our team. We apologize if he felt the process was still confusing. For example, we explained Mr. origination fee (1%) was offset by a credit given by the lender for the interest rate chosen, thereby eliminating the origination fee. In the end, we placed Mr. in a better loan, without any origination fees from Green Monarch. We are grateful for Mr.s business and are comfortable with the result achieved.
