I am rejecting this response because: It is easily proved that if there was the amount of oil in he crank case the vendor claims, the dip stick would be wet with oilThere is no evidence the vendor confirmed an oil light was working My understanding is "high mileage oil is synthetic After I brought the car back for oil, I saw what I sawI saw the vendor worker fill a quart container and pour it into the car, and I saw them fill a quart container and put a bit over half of it in the car The car only holds quarts so it would have been overfilled I am not the person who made up the quart storyThe person who wrote on the receipt made that claim without having personally checked the oil (over my objection) that there was dark oil only on the very tip of he dipstick and that the dipstick was otherwise dryDark oil after an oil change tells me the crankcase was close to empty, with only residue that drained down from the valves and valve lifters and no new oilThe mechanic that looked at it also said there was no oil in the crank caseThat a dipstick would not be wet after driving the vehicle if it had quarts in it is pure nonsense!I would be happy to have an independent person prove that--it is easily proven by draining the oil and refilling in stages with engine starts at each stage I had the engine diagnosed and the garage said the mains and rod bearings were damaged We have not driven he car since the test was completed Sincerely, [redacted] ***

*** *** did come in for a oil change on 9-10-2016. He stood in the bay as we finished up his oil change, and we made mention of a item that he would want to address at some point*** *** then left in his vehicleA short time later he returned to inform us that we
had not put enough oil in his vehicle. He was telling the employees that they were is and very degrading to themThe manger should of shown more composure and let him vent, but he did get into a shouting match with *** *** which was not rightWhen we brought the vehicle in, the oil was at the very bottom of the stickWe obviously had miss read the oil dipstick when we checked it before the vehicle left. This vehicle holds quarts of oil, and we had to add quarts to get it to the proper level on the dipstick. As you can see with the document that *** *** has presented, it states that we had to add quarts of oil to get it to levelHe bullied the employees to write that on the invoice along with the engine knock commentWe never heard any engine knock, nor was the engine oil light on when he brought the vehicle back** *** has never mentioned that the oil light was onIf we would of not put any oil in the vehicle like he stated, the oil light would of come on in the 5-miles he drove the vehicle before he brought it backDid we allow the vehicle to leave low on oil when it left, Absolutely and for that we apologizeTo say that the vehicle was quarts low and caused the engine to start to make noise is not realisticWe have cars that come in frequently quarts low on oil when we do the oil change, and they are not knocking when they come inThe vehicle was percent full of oil

I believe this is a common scam that they run Telling customers that their antifreeze is contaminated in order to sell their flush service when there is in fact nothing wrong I have seen other complaints regarding this on the Internetand witnessed other incidents sitting in their lobby especially with single woman In one case I told a woman to tell them that she had to ask her husband first. They also tried to scam me saying I needed a new fuel filter They said the do this based on mileage but they have have no idea when my car was serviced and when the fuel filter was last replaced They do not know if I need a new fuel filter yet they push itevery time.In my opinion this is a very *** operation I think they should be investigated.I am not looking for any kind of compensation I only want to draw attention to their practices

Just because the oil is barely on the dipstick, or is not on the dipstick doesn't mean that it is out of oilAs stated before, we have cars that come in on almost a daily basis with barely any oil on the dipstick on none showingThey are not out of oil, but usually they are about 1.5- quarts lowWe did not put synthetic oil in this vehicleAs shown on the receipt, a high mileage oil was usedThe concern I have is the changing statements from *** ***After he came back to the shop, and we finished getting the oil to the proper level, he made the employees write on his receipt what we had to add, and the employees initials of who worked on itOn the receipt he provided for the Revdex.com, it clearly states that we had to add quarts of oil to the vehicleHe also made the lady attendant write a knocking noise, which we did not hearIf we would of not put any oil in the vehicle as *** *** is now stating, there would of been a couple of tell tale signsFirst would be the engine oil light coming onHe stated that he drove the vehicle 5-miles before bringing it backWith no oil in the vehicle, the oil light would of come on almost immediatelyThis would come on due to low or no oil pressure in the vehicleIt was not on when the vehicle came back, nor has *** *** ever mentioned that it was onThe second would be the likelihood of the engine seizingWhen driving that far with no oil in it, the chances are high that the motor would of seizedWe did let the vehicle leave with not enough oil in, which is our mistake. But to say that we had put about percent of the capacity of the oil in the vehicle (out of quarts) and now it needs a engine after driving it 5-miles would not be reasonable

I am rejecting this response because: It is easily proved that if there was the amount of oil in he crank case the vendor claims, the dip stick would be wet with oil. There is no evidence the vendor confirmed an oil light was working.  My understanding is "high mileage oil is synthetic.  After I brought the car back for oil, I saw what I saw. I saw the vendor worker fill a 5 quart container and pour it into the car, and I saw them fill a 1 quart container and put a bit over half of it in the car.  The car only holds 6 quarts so it would have been overfilled.  I am not the person who made up the 4 quart story. The person who wrote on the receipt made that claim without having personally checked the oil (over my objection) that there was dark oil only on the very tip of he dipstick and that the dipstick was otherwise dry. Dark oil after an oil change tells me the crankcase was close to empty, with only residue that drained down from the valves and valve lifters and no new oil. The mechanic that looked at it also said there was no oil in the crank case. That a dipstick would not be wet after driving the vehicle if it had 4 quarts in it is pure nonsense!. I would be happy to have an independent person
prove that--it is easily proven by draining the oil and refilling in stages with engine starts at each stage.  I had the engine diagnosed and the garage said the mains and rod bearings were damaged.  We have not driven he car since the test was completed.   Sincerely,
[redacted]

I have submitted a copy of receipt that the customer signed. As you can see, we noted on bottom left  that the coolant was contaminated prior to service, and we had recommended a coolant flush. The customer decided to have the dealership do it.  When we were out back going over his vehicle and his concerns, we offered him a free car wash at that time. Due to the fact that our tech thought it was a car wash, we told him that we would either wash the windows, or give him a free works car wash. He declined either. I have no problem issuing him a free car wash. I have responded to both of the customers issues, and have stated what we will do for the customer. I will not be responding anymore to this issue.

Mr. [redacted] did have his oil change done with us on December 23rd. It actually took 11 minutes from the time we entered it into the computer until we cashed him out. We are a quick lube, and the reason we are able to do oil changes quickly is that we have 4 people attending to the vehicle once it is...

in the shop. We did let the customer know about his coolant being contaminated after we did our initial fluid checks. The customer declined to have anything done with it. It states on his invoice that the coolant was contaminated prior to service. When Mr. [redacted] came back to complain about the items on his list, we showed him all  the fluid levels, including the washer fluid which was filled. It had some foam in it, and had settled. With only the top of the neck of the washer bottle showing, it looked as if it wasn't full. We put about a 1/8 of a cup in it, and it came all the way to the top. When we vacuum, we do not mess with any of the customers personal belongings or trash. We did vacuum parts we could get to. We did miss doing the exterior windows on the vehicle. The Tech that was suppose to do this was under the impression that it was getting a car wash. At that time we did offer the customer a free car wash for us not doing the windows. He declined.
