I recently purchased a ceramic fry pan from The Green Pan (The Cookware Company – 94 N Broadway – Irvington, NY 10533). Prior to purchasing this pan, I called this company and specifically asked if this product was made in China. The rep asked me for the name of the product, I told her and she said NO IT WAS NOT MADE IN CHINA. I completed the purchase. I received the pan yesterday and on the outside of the shipping box and on the product it says “MADE IN THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA”. I called the company, did not get an answer so I left a message. I sent an email and this is the response that I got: “Returns will not be accepted if any of the following is the case: The product has not been returned with all original packaging. The costs of returning unwanted purchases to us are the responsibility of the customer. ” This 7” fry pan was shipped in a 10” x17” box and if was full of cardboard and all kinds of packing material. It will not be cheap to return per this company’s criteria. I will not be buying from this company and I would not recommend buying from this company.
