On [redacted] 2015 I special ordered a part from the Vermont location. I paid in full by credit and never received the partI paid in full for a special order part. The package never made it to my home. FedEx indicated by Voice mail the drive cannot remember delivering the package that was shipped without the need for signature. They told me to work with the seller for refund. On [redacted] second I received the following email from the store...Original MessageFrom: grhparts . mailto:[redacted]Sent: [redacted] XXXX XX:XX PMTo: [redacted], [redacted]Subject: RE: Re: Re: [redacted] Guard RailsHi [redacted],I am going to be reimbursing you for the lost FedEx item, [redacted] guard rails part # AXXXXXXX. [redacted] has denied my claim but I am making sure you get your money back.Sorry for the inconvenience.Give me a call with your credit card number so that I can do the refund transaction. We do not keep credit card information on file.[redacted]Parts DepartmentXXX-XXX-XXXXGreen River [redacted]1 [redacted] XXXXXWhen I attempted to get the refund they seem to have changed their mind. And a manager by the name of [redacted] indicated that because he saw the box leave that was the end of his responsibility and they will not refund my money for the lost package. This was after the email from their company telling me I would get the refund. I find a few of their practices lacking in integrity. I will list the two most obvious and will not go into the discussion I had with [redacted] the manager.1. If they will not refund for lost packages they should absolutely request signature upon delivery.2. If they email and commit to do something they should honor that commitment.I would absolutely like to get the part. But since that is no longer possible I would like them to honor their commitment to refund my money for the lost shipment.Desired SettlementI would like a full refund for the missing product and shipping. It seems this product is no longer available so I cannot ask for another shipment of the exact product.Business Response We did recieve this order, it was processed, and shipped via [redacted] The tracking number is XXXXXXXXXXXX. [redacted] tracking services show that the item has been delivered and was left at the front door. We completed our part of the transaction and the claim lies in the fault of the shipping service. The customer needs to open a claim against [redacted] Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This response is typical of the way I was treated on the phone. With a policy of 'we shipped it its not our fault if you didnt get the item' they should impose upon themselves the safe guard of checking the box for [redacted] "signature required". I called and worked with [redacted] before contacting the seller. Once they determined the driver could not remember if it was delivered to the correct home they told me the claim MUST be filed by the seller/shipper. This short response provided by the seller is similar to what they told me on the phone. And to paraphrase, 'they shipped it, their job is done'. No options. Yet, I see they decided not to resond to the the email I received from their company indicating they WOULD be refunding the total amount for the missing shipment. I think this response and the way they handled this is indicative of a company that operates with no integrity or character and should be called out and highlighted so other potential customers can make an educated decision as to the company and their ability to honestly follow through with a committemnt. I have documented two committments broken by this seller: I paid in full and recieved no product. I then follwoed the path to attempt to resolve, they agreed to refund then failed to follow through with that committment.I also have the voice mail from [redacted] that the driver could not recall delivering it and I should contact the seller for claim/refund. I just cannot figure out how to capture that to share as evidence.I appreciate any assistance you can provide but am disappointed beyond words of teh way this company does business.
