Review: Dress was damaged during the course of cleaning. They refuse to reimburse me for the dress.

On 5/21/13 I brought in my daughters graduation dress to be dry cleaned. They charged me 19.95 and told me it would be ready on Thursday 5/23/13. I came to pick it up on Friday 5/24/13. I checked the dress and it was damaged. There were multiple snags on the bodice and the skirt and many of the pleats on the bodice were gone and on top of the dress it looked like too much heat was used because the material was like wavy or bubbly. I did not accept it back, they said they would redo it. I told them I needed it for my daughters graduation the following Wed. Because the following Monday was a holiday it would not even be started until Tues. I was forced to buy a new dress. I tried several times to contact the owner but was told he was out of town and that he would call me back. This went on for about 10 days till finally I got to speak to [redacted] the owner. He said that they re did the dress and that I could pick it up. I went back on 6/3/13 and the dress was in slightly better shape but still had the snags and the pleats were still messed up in some spots. The material was still wavy on the top on the left side. I still refused to take the dress as it was. I called the owner again and he promised to redo it again. He said he would call me by the following Wed. He did not call me back. I finally called him again and told him he needs to either reimburse me for the damaged dress or the new dress I had to buy. He said that he would not do that. He said to come and look at the dress it was redone and I will be happy with it. I went back 6/21/13, the dress was still not right. The pleats were still gone in a few places still snags and still some wavy spots on the top. He still refused to reimburse me for the dress or the one I had to buy because it was damaged. He only reimbursed me the 20.00 I paid to clean the dress.Desired Settlement: They need to either reimburse me for the cost of the damaged dress or the cost of the new dress I had to buy.

The company states that they made an initial repair and she was not happy with it so they repaired it a second time. They also gave her a full refund of the cleaning price.

The dress is still damaged. They need to reimburse me for it or the dress I had to buy to replace it.
