Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I hired [redacted] and his company to complete work. Previous work on the system was performed by another landscape company and not the result of why I contacted [redacted].
Timeline:
[redacted] has stated that it took me several weeks to respond to the quote given by his business. This is not factual and a misrepresentation of his in-ability to respond to me on several attempts when I requested his company to begin work. I contacted GreenServPro on 17 May and spoke with [redacted] at which point he indicated that he could come survey the system on "Monday" which was 19 May. The estimate that work was carried out under was approved by me on June 3rd after requesting revisions to an estimate given on 19 May. In that estimate and bid [redacted] assured me that he would go over the entire system, fix all leaks, ensure locations that were not receiving water would be corrected and ensure proper functioning of emitters. On June 2nd I approved the revised bid which took 1 week for GreenServ Pro to revise and send. On June 2nd  I gave him authorization to begin work and requested in e-mail that he check the entire drip system and ensure that all the trees were receiving the proper amount of water. On June 3rd at 0830am I called to speak with [redacted] concerning the bid and start date. I did not get a response from [redacted] until June 6tth.  On June 6th after trying to get revisions to the estimate I flat out asked in e-mail "Is your company able to do the work" at which point he finally gave me a start date of "Monday" which was June 9th. Work was done by an independent landscaper to replace the timer which [redacted] identified as needing replaced while I waited to hear from [redacted] concerning the start date for work. As you can see from the initial request for service by phone call on 17 May it took GreenServPro LLC several weeks to revise quotes and begin work. During the time [redacted] was admittedly "out of town" for several days.  (E-mail from [redacted] on June 16th confirming that [redacted] was out of town the 12th through the 16th).
Damages:
The facts of the case still stand, I was damaged by the improper wiring on the irrigation valves by employees of [redacted] company, GreenServPro LLC. I questioned [redacted] about why my system was not working even when I attempted to manually activate the valves via the timer. He stated that he would come out and he did in fact come to my residence to find that his employees had improperly wired the valves. In an e-mail from [redacted] he stated
"System is back on. }ech that replaced the valves had used the white wire as the nuetral which is generally the correct color for nuetral. The color you used or whoever used a red wire for the nuetral. I did not want to switch the wiring around to the correct colors because I did not install the timer or the front valve so in the back I used the red wire as nuetral to follow suit."
This improper wiring and failure to test the system prior to leaving the job site caused the sprinkler system to not function during a week where temperatures exceeded 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Had [redacted] [redacted] company properly wired the valves I would not have damages to my landscape in the way of dead grass. Not only did GreenServ Pro install the wiring incorrectly, but they installed the valve slightly off center which allowed the valve to leak and not function unless it was manually opened at the valve. See attached picture of leaking valve taken on July 13.
Failure to complete requested work:
When I requested revisions to the estimate I asked [redacted] to "ensure the drips system is working properly and that all fruit trees and ficus in the front yard are receiving the proper amount of water." [redacted] [redacted] company never checked or replaced the drip emitters on any of the trees. Newly planted trees of the size plated require in excess of 24 gallons of water each time the tree is watered. The emitters that the previous company installed did not provide that flow and I requested [redacted] to complete that work, which he did not include in the revised bid as requested by me in e-mail. When I attempted to call he was unavailable for several days.
[redacted] did send his employees to fix leaks on a couple occasions and I found his team to be very responsive to return to the property, but each time the crew fixed a leak they knocked a capped emitter out of the line unknowingly, which resulted in an open hole in the poly tubing. This manifested it self each time after a repair visit by water pooling in the east yard area, which was where the leaks were discovered. Upon my third leak, [redacted] told me that I " had old lines with seams and that each time his team repaired a leak, a new one was created by increased pressure." (E-mail Dated July 3rd). This is also inaccurate, see picture attached of old lines removed from ground. [redacted] falsly advised me that my lines had seams in them and that I would continue to have leaks, when in fact [redacted] had never seen the lines in that area.
[redacted] provided me a bid to “Estimate proviided to build new manifold with (two) new valves for back yard lawn ($64 credit provided for one less valve from original estimate). Reconnect control wiring and reprogram timer. Strip back wiring and repair all connections from irrigation timer to valves with water proof wire nuts. Check all drip lines for leaks and ensure all emitters are functioning properly, all emitters to be replaced as necessary and drip irrigation leaks are to repaired as needed. All exposed drip irrigation lines are to be buried so they are not exposed to the sun.
As you can see from the above quote [redacted] quoted me to replace drip emitters and ensure all emitters are functioning properly. GreenServ pro NEVER touched or changed a single emitter nor did they bury the exposed lines at the day work was “Completed”. [redacted] admits to this in an e-mail dated 16 June when he corrected the wiring on the valves and “Buried” the line in the front yard. [redacted] also stated that all trees were getting water in the inquiry concerning replacement of the drip emitters. That was not my request that the trees were “Getting water” My continued request was that they were getting the proper amount of water. I also requested that [redacted]s company troubleshoot a non working line on the west side of the house, which was a part of the drip system and is still not working. If [redacted] had in fact “Completed” the bid that he provided me, this line would be working since it is in fact part of the irrigation system and he assured me in his initial bid that he would “get it worked out”
Resolution:
[redacted] failed to complete work as bid per correspondence from him on June 3rd. In regards to the bid, [redacted] failed to complete several tasks under line item one. Specifically
[redacted] failed to check the entire drip system.
[redacted] failed to ensure the proper emitters were installed to provide required amount of water to trees of the size in question.  [redacted] failed to troubleshoot the entire system and ascertain why one line was not working.
[redacted] [redacted] failed to bury the lines that were exposed to the sun until questioned.
[redacted] additionally failed to complete the work properly when replacing the valves as quoted.
[redacted] also failed to "rebuild" the manifold as quoted and only replaced valves.
[redacted] stated on July 10th that all work under the bid was complete, when in fact it was not.
As you can see, this has resulted in a breach of contract in which damages were incurred by me as the property owner and requestor of service. [redacted] should complete work as bid and requested by the customer in order for payment to be rendered in all of his business ventures. Services were requested from [redacted] in the form of a bid and e-mail for which he did not fulfill, but is still requesting payment for.
I request not to pay for work that was bid and not completed.
I will be printing all e-mails and sending them in as well to demonstrate my continued requests for work that was not completed under the bid.
[redacted] made a breach of both written and oral contracts concerning work at my residence under invoice [redacted].
Regards,
[redacted]

I am responding to complaintID#: [redacted]. I have e-mail correspondence with the customer which will need to be reviewed by the Revdex.com. I will mail them or have them scanned in and forwarded to the Revdex.com on Monday July 21st.

All items which are on our original estimate have been...

completed. Initial problem with the job started when [redacted] did not respond to our estimate for two weeks and then wanted us to get started as soon as he called. We are very busy this time of year with irrigation calls and we operate on a first come first serve basis.

Our original inspection report of the irrigation system to [redacted] made him aware that his irrigation timer was still working but it would be a good idea to get the programming module changed out because the buttons were sticking. In between the time we gave our estimate and inspection report [redacted] had his timer programming module changed by others, he also had one of his valves changed by others. We did feel that it was strange that he would have someone else do that work and then call us to to all the rest of the work so we are assuming that this work was actually performed by him?

The valves in the back yard needed to be changed due to consistant leak by and the valves were not operating correctly sohis back yard grass was in bad shape to begin with.We changed out the valves and wired the control wiring per correct color code (white for nuetral, color for each valve). We did not install the new programming module for the timer and it is our policy not to work on items which have been serviced by others. [redacted] called and said that nothing was working. When we went back out to investigate it was found that the timer was not wired correctly per color code. I informed [redacted] of this and told him that we wired the valves correctly and in order to conform to the way the timer was wired we went ahead and rewired the valves.

We had also at this point repaired 3 large leaks in the back yard and covered up all the exposed lines and installed weatherproof wire connectors to all valves (old and new) as described in our original estimate. [redacted] called a week or so later and said that he still had some leaks so we sent out a crew to repair the leaks. These leaks were in different locations than the original leak. These leaks were being caused due to trees which had their roots tying up the drip irrigation lines and causing the tubing to split. We believe that when we repaired the initial leaks the increased pressure in the repaired lines opened up new leaks in the weakest point of the lines which were where they were being stressed from the tree roots. A few days later [redacted] called again and said he had more leaks, again we sent out a crew to fix the leaks and found that again these were new leaks. Again the lines were split in a different location.

I will be mailing over a copy of our invoices and what was quoted. Also e-mail correspondence with this customer which points out to the customer about the wiring being incorrect at his timer. Also notifying him a couple of times within the correspondence that we feel the lines may be old and may need replacing. We have been out 3 separate times to repair leaks which are new leaks each time. We cannot continue to repair leaks for an indefinite time period and feel we have gone above and beyond by going out 3 different times to repair new leaks.

All items have been completed per our estimate and invoicing. We feel we have gone over our commitments by returning to the property multiple times to repair new leaks which were not there before our original inspection and initial repairs. He also had work that was done by others which adversely effected our efforts. We do not feel he is owed any compensation and he should pay his bills.

Sincerely,

Green ServPro LLC

This company has went downhill from the where they barely stood in the beginning! We are a military family and with me being pregnant and my husband away we decided to get lawn care services. At first it was ok but then I started receiving work that was partly performed and then disrespectful things were happening like our back gates being left open, mulch trails being left, tree branches left in the yard as well as trash and they stepped onot and broke our plants and they weren't doing all of the work I was paying for! I gave them several chances yet I received horrible customer service and even though I canceled my service they tried to deny that I called in to cancel! Luckily, my uncle and aunts are lawyers and I know to record my phone conversations and now I'm trying to get a resolution of them charging me for services that were not performed! I've already had a consultation with my lawyers and we'll go from there. Save yourself the trouble and don't do it!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I hired [redacted] and his company to complete work. Previous work on the system was performed by another landscape company and not the result of why I contacted [redacted].

[redacted] provided me a bid to “Estimate proviided to build new manifold with (two) new valves for back yard lawn ($64 credit provided for one less valve from original estimate).

I have just had work completed by Green Serv Pro (tree removal and stump grind down below grade). The folks at the company are very nice, professional, timely, competitive and they are insured. I give Larry S[redacted] and their entire team an A++ rating! Thanks guys :>)

Review: I contacted the company to ensure my irrigation and drip system was operating properly to include fixing leaks, determining adequacy of existing drip heads and determining why water was not flowing to a specific drip line. The company was contacted on 19-21 May and provided an estimate for work on 6 June. Work started on 12 June and was not completed. When asked about when the company would return, one of the owners "[redacted]" said the work was complete. At that time [redacted] stated they had fixed a few leaks and replaced 3 valves in the back and the work was complete. I informed [redacted] that two of the valves had been replaced a week prior to his visit and that they did not need to be replaced. At that point there was still an exposed line in the front yard, the same drip emitters on the lines and no explanation was given concerning troubleshooting of the irrigation line which had no flow. Part of the request was to ensure all trees were receiving the proper amount of water, this was not done. Later in the week I noticed my grass was starting to die and I attempted to turn on the sprinklers only to find that nothing happened. I contacted [redacted] and he came out to troubleshoot to find that the Tech from his company had wired the valves incorrectly. A week after that we noticed water flooding the side yard in an area where GreenServ Pro had "repaired" a leak. The company came out, repaired that leak and created an additional leak to be discovered a few days later. [redacted] informed me that my lines were old and had seams that split when a repair was made, I dug up the lines to find this to be untrue. I informed [redacted] that I would not be paying the remainder of the bill because he had failed to do what I asked, my grass was dead and my system was in worse shape than when he began the work. I feel that the unnecessary replacement of my valves, the incorrect wiring which lead to my grass dying, and the un completed work has led to damages in excess of the company’s invoiced amount due. Now over 6 weeks after contacting and trying to work with the company I have had to perform the requested work myself.Desired Settlement: I request that the company not charge me the balanace on the account nor turn it over to collection as [redacted] indicated would happen. I do not wish to pay for services that were not performed, agreed upon or requested.

Response:

I am responding to complaintID#: [redacted]. I have e-mail correspondence with the customer which will need to be reviewed by the Revdex.com. I will mail them or have them scanned in and forwarded to the Revdex.com on Monday July 21st.

All items which are on our original estimate have been completed.

Response:

Had [redacted] company properly wired the valves I would not have damages to my landscape in the way of dead grass. Not only did GreenServ Pro install the wiring incorrectly, but they installed the valve slightly off center which allowed the valve to leak and not function unless it was manually opened at the valve. See attached picture of leaking valve taken on July 13.

Failure to complete requested work:

When I requested revisions to the estimate I asked [redacted] to "ensure the drips system is working properly and that all fruit trees and ficus in the front yard are receiving the proper amount of water." [redacted] company never checked or replaced the drip emitters on any of the trees.

[redacted] failed to bury the lines that were exposed to the sun until questioned.

Regards,

Business

I would NEVER recommend Green Pro Serve for either maintaining the lawn or trimming trees. I asked them to spray the weeds in my lawn since the weeds were taking over and they absolutely killed the grass - but they still showed up and charged to mow it! I also had them trim a mesquite tree in my back yard. I went out to check on the progress of this trimming and found their guy had climbed the branches in the center of the tree to trim the top. After inspecting the tree I found that they had broken a main branch which encompassed the entire front of the tree. I emailed a picture and complaint to them prior to any storms hitting in the Phoenix area and they claimed it was due to storm damage. There were no storms from the time they trimmed the tree and the time the pictures were taken and emailed to them. I guess they are assuming I have no integrity (just like them!) After several emails to the owner, he came out and propped the branch up with the intent of the tree hopefully healing. I then received numerous phone calls to pay the bill for the tree trimming. (Honestly, if I had done something like this I would be embarrassed to send an invoice and then constantly call to have it paid). After explaining that I was not paying this bill until I was sure the tree was going to survive, I was told that the damage was most likely caused by a storm. The caller asked if I had seen the guy in the tree and I told her I had. She laughed and said "That is interesting." - as if I am lying. Yes - I actually saw the guy in the center of the tree! I, unlike you, have integrity!! The customer service of this place leaves a lot to be desired. also! YET THEY STILL EXPECT ME TO PAY THE INVOICE AFTER DAMAGING MY TREE!!! I WOULD NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND THEM!!!

Review: 1 - They broke the door of my sprinkler timer and left it in the rocks.

2 - They broke my sprinkler valve (it was working before they arrived) and then blamed it on me.

3 - Even with the broken valve (that they were aware of), they turned the sprinklers on and flooded my lawn for 10 hours.

4 - They then proceeded to bill me for replacing the valve, the yard work and everything else with no concern for flooding my backyard.Desired Settlement: Discount your services to offset the damage to my property and the ridiculously high water bill. I absolutely wont pay the full amount in conjunction with a $300 water bill that is usually $60.

These guys are a complete rip off. Getting the same crew to come out to your house on a regular service day was a miracle. There was 4 different types of grass growing in my lawn by the time they were fired from servicing my house, when I asked them to fix the problem with my lawn they quoted me almost 400.00 to try to fix it but if there was to be follow up treatment they would have to charge an additional 400.00. My irregation box was flooded. They charged me 300.00 to replace all the valves. 1 month later it became flooded again and they charged me an additional 100.00 to fix it. A couple of weeks after fixing it I reallized they stopped servicing my home. I tried to contact them about 8 times over two weeks and had no response. Finaly I realized half of my lawn looked dead and I went to check the irrigation box and they never hooked up power to one of the valves after repairing my sprinklers. I recommend to have a snott knosed teenager to perform your yard maintenace before hiring these a@# clowns!
