Green Stream Lawn & Lanscape

Entered agreement with Green Stream to perform lawn care. Service was not provided and Green Stream will not respond to calls/VM/texts.
On 8 April 2019, I agreed to a 6 step lawn care program with Green Stream Lawn & Landscape. Included in this agreement was a free aeration, grass seed, and first fertilization with payment in full at the time of the agreement. Green Stream provided the free aeration and (free) first treatment on that day; however, no grass seed was provided at that time. Approximately 2 weeks later (the week of 21 April), a flag was placed in my lawn indicating another treatment was provided. Outside of the flag, there was no other evidence that a treatment was applied based on lawn condition. I contacted Green Stream again on 27 April 2019 asking about the grass seed application and if they would address the ongoing, severe weed issues in my lawn. After repeated calls and texts that received no response, I was finally able to reach the owner via cell phone on 18 May 2019 and the grass seed was finally provided later that day, 21 days after my request. The yard was not treated for weeds at that time and the grass seed used resulted in additional, new weeds in the treated areas. I contacted the company again on 24 June 2019 asking why I had not received treatment for the ongoing (and now spreading) weed issue. I received a response via text that same day stating that the treatment would be applied in "the next couple of days." No treatment was ever applied despite multiple occasions of favorable weather. After several calls, voicemails, and texts without any response or any additional treatments, I made the decision to terminate the agreement and request a prorated refund. This request was made based on Green Stream's failure to provide the agreed upon services as well as the company's complete lack of communication; additionally, at that point in time, the state of my lawn was much worse than when the service agreement began in April. My request was made on 8 July, which was 14 days after the promised application "in the next couple of days." These circumstances show a repeated pattern of neglect and deceptive business practices by Green Stream Lawn and Landscape. Regardless of my many attempts, I have not received any response from Green Stream since 2 July. I can offer additional documentation as needed to include phone records, service agreement, cashed check, and photos of lawn issues.

Per the agreement, if I cancelled service for any reason, a prorated refund would be provided. I am willing to pay for the first treatment (even though it was supposed to be free) and the second treatment.

Divided by 6 treatment = $63.5 per treatment
2 treatments = $127
Refunded amount should be $254

The local community should be wary of such deceptive businesses and avoid becoming entangled with and taken advantage of by Green Stream Lawn and Landscape.
