Green Truck Moving & Storage

The reason for this review is due to the poor handling of my broken television claim that took over three months to resolve. I hired Green Truck Movers to move my items from one apartment building to another on September 7, 2019. One of the movers dropped and damaged my 47 inch LG TV in my apartment. The mover proceed to contact this boss (who I later found out was not the owner) and confirmed that he damaged my TV . I and the mover proceed to take photos of the damaged TV. After the move was completed I received an invoice for payment along with mover noting on the invoice his name and statement that my 47 inch TV was broken . I called Green Truck the next day and was sent a claim form to complete along with an email to forward claim form and photos of my damaged TV. The first delay : I spoke with owner a week later who stated he never receive my claim info. I proceed to forward the claim info to the owner directly. The owner stated it would take 4 weeks for the claim to be proceed as the claim department had to contact the mover to get his statement and do an investigation. Four weeks passed. 2nd delay : I called the owner who stated the company was in the process of big move and he was unable to review the status of my claim has his computers were all packed up. I proceed for another 2-3 weeks to check on my claim with the owner with same excuse about the move. The owner final spoke to me about my claim and stated the claim was denied as the TV was properly padded when it was placed in the moving truck and could not have been damaged by Green Truck . I asked if he spoke with mover ? He said no. How can a claim be denied when the owner stated the mover's statement was needed for the claim investigation? After several minutes of a heated discussion with owner, I come to find out his son was the one made aware of damaged TV the day of the move. Thus the owner's lack of knowledge of the situation. I provide md him the name of mover who damaged my TV. A day later I called the owner back who confirm he had spoken with the mover who damaged my TV and confirmed the facts . All of this took place the week of Thanksgiving. A week and half later a call owner who asked me if the claims department had called me ? I stated no . He gave me number which I thought was for an insurance claim department. But it was some else in company who would handle my claim moving forward. Long story short Green Truck bought me a new TV and delivered it to my home personally on December 21, 2019. I'm not sure if they actually have insurance, self insured (as a comment was mad that the mover would have to pay for my TV) or they decided to handle my claim without calling their insurance company do the sized my claim . But my claim was handled poorly and I will never use them again .
