Green Trust Cash Reviews (35)

Review: They discriminated against me once they found out what bank I use. They were very clear on the phone that they do not accept 'Prepaid Banks", they had a 3 way call with my bank and verified it is not in fact a 'prepaid bank', bu that it is a 'Open checking account'. Then they changed story to say they just do not accept my bank. This was AFTER signing all the loan papers and verification process. The out of order nature leads me to feel this business should not be treating customers like this. The situation is not resolved.Desired Settlement: They need to respect my bank or give me a better reason and compensate my time.

Green

Trust Cash takes all reviews good or bad very seriously and it is always disappointing

when a customer is dissatisfied with our service or the services we have

provided.

Upon

receipt of his review we began an audit of Mr. [redacted]’s file, and the findings

were reported to the appropriate members of the operations team. For privacy reasons details of these findings

will not be discussed within this forum.

However,

it became apparent that mistakes were made relating to the protocol which should

have been followed when a customer uses an online banking institution. Historically we have experienced that accounts

at online institutions have rejected our funding efforts to the customer

account, and our representative made a poor decision assuming that the same

results would occur relating to Mr. [redacted]’s account, this was the catalyst

for the confusion and mistakes that were made on our representative’s part. It

was not a matter of discriminating against Mr. [redacted] or the bank he chose to

use, but a bad assumption on our representative’s part because of historical

experiences with on line banking institutions.

Mr. [redacted] has every right to bank with whomever he chooses and our

underwriting protocol applied in a consistent manner.

Regardless,

the customer service provided to Mr. [redacted] was unacceptable by our standards

and those associates involved have been counseled, trained, and disciplinary

action taken as warranted.

Furthermore,

we will be taking this opportunity to use this as a teaching tool in an effort

to mitigate the possibility of a similar situation occurring involving another

consumer.

As

we previously stated this is an unfortunate situation that we take very

seriously. When we do make mistakes, and

that does occur we take full responsibility for our errors and make every

effort to satisfy the customer and rectify the situation.

We

have attempted to contact Mr. [redacted] to both apologize to him for the

experience and see if he still has an interest in receiving a loan assuming his

bank will accept one of our funding methods. If there are any further inquiries

regarding Mr. [redacted]’s review feel free to contact us at your earliest

convenience.

Sincerely,

Green

Review: On Friday, May 9th, Green Trust Cash made a withdraw from my bank account and caused it to overdraft. They failed to send an email to notify me of the date and to call advising of any changes that needed to be made at the time. I spoke with someone on May 22nd and advised the loan company that I was unemployed and did not know when I would be able to make a payment. When I spoke with someone back on April 25th, I did let them know that I was just recently let go from my job and would not be able to make the payment for that week. I figured that it was documented on the system to notify other representatives that I was unemployed but guess not.Desired Settlement: I wish to have the money reimbursed to me since the money was taken from my bank account when it should not have been.

Response:

4/9/14 customer called in and

asked if she could skip her payment. We spoke with the customer and agreed to

lower her payment by 50% using the Back on Track Program. Customer accepted

the smaller payment amount. At that time the customer wanted to skip a payment

but did not inform us of any employment issues.

4/24/14 customer called in.

Customer did inform us that they were no longer employed. She stated she lost

her job 2 weeks ago. The customer was asked if we skipped the due date from

4/25/14 to 5/9/14 would that help her out and the customer stated “yes”. The customer

stated that was fine and that would help her out. She had no further questions.

The Customer Service Representative did explain that the customer's next payment due was on 5/9/14.

The customer was made aware

of the payment due on 5/9/14 and we never had any more correspondence with this

customer until 5/15/14 when we reached out to the customer when the payment

returned to us.

Please be aware that we do

have the recordings on file.

We will be more than happy to

work out a payment plan with no further cost to the customer.

Thank you.

Review: I have made 5 payments of roughly $100 for each, totaling $500, on a $300 loan, I asked the company to stop taking the money automatically from my account as it needed to be closed due to someone obtaining my account information. They continued to bill, not only do I have numerous fees from Bank of America; I also was told that I now owe almost $700. This is crazy, almost $1200 for a $300 loan? This was not in our agreement nor were all these hidden fees. $60 for each time they continued to charge my account, totaling $180 in return fees alone. I've already paid more than I've borrowed, and now they continue to harass me daily, claiming a different price each time. We never agreed on this price or all of these hidden fees, secondly they should have stopped charging my account when I requested.Desired Settlement: By refund, I do not believe I should owe for the $700 they're now claiming, keep the $500 I've already paid for this, but take off the $700 balance that they claim I owe, which I do not.

In reference to complaint # [redacted] the following facts are as

follows:

On 6/23/14 Ms. [redacted]

finalized a $300 loan with the companyOur records clearly

indicate all terms and costs of the loan were explained with Ms. [redacted], and

she was directed where to obtain a copy of here loan documents which detail the

payment schedule.Since the signing of the

loan Ms. [redacted] has made 5 payments on her loan.On 10/6/14 Ms. [redacted]

contacted our office asking to borrow additional funds, however, at this time

she did not qualify. Ms. [redacted] indicates she

has contacted us to stop the automatic ACH draft of her account for payments as

agreed to in the loan agreement, respectfully our records do not show any

record of contact, and we are extremely diligent regarding said requests of

this nature to ensure our compliance with the principles of federal lending

laws. On 11/18/14 Ms. [redacted]

payments. Our representative attempted to explain the charges and

balance, unfortunately Ms. [redacted] hung up on her.

Our records

indicate we have followed the necessary protocol and terms of the loan

agreement with Ms. [redacted]. It is unfortunate that complaints of any

nature occur, however, we try to do our best and accommodate our customers as

best we can. As indicated by her history payments had been made as scheduled,

and she even applied for additional funding.

We will ensure

her ACH authorization is revoked, and make every effort to work out payment

arrangements with Ms. [redacted] for the remaining balance owed.

Review: I got a loan from Green Trust Cash LLC in June of 2014 the loan amount was for $300 and they have taken out money from my account every payday each time the amount varies. Total I have paid $470 on a $300 loan. Normally I would agree to pay the loan terms but beginning in July I began getting calls from a company claiming to be from a law firm and was told I was being sued by Green Trust Cash for money owed. I am currently in good standing with Green trust. These calls began at my work and I was called about 5 times in a day by different people claiming to be trying to collect a debt on behalf of Green trust Cash. I am now receiving calls on my cell phone and being threatened that if I do not pay over $800 I will be taken to court and/or arrested, they even went so far to say the cops were on their way to my job! This is not ok, this interrupts my time at work causing issues for me.Desired Settlement: I would like my account to be closed with Green Trust Cash and for them to consider my account paid in full. I would also like for whomever they sold my information to, to be contacted. This is harrassment, and not ok with me.

Business

Response:

Thank you for making us aware of these fraudulent collection calls impersonating our company, Green Trust Cash.

Please be assure you that you're account is in good standing with us and has not been sent to a collections company. To further clear up any future confusion, we have waived your remaining balance due with us and have opened an investigation on this matter. While we do not believe there has been a breach of your personal information, we suggest taking additional monitoring safeguards on your bank accounts to ensure there is no further action that could affect you.

We would appreciate it if you would be willing to give us a call so that we can report your experience to the Online Lenders Alliance Fraud Hotline together and put a stop to this fraud.

We’re sorry for this inconvenience and will work with you diligently to report this call to the OLA and the appropriate authorities. If you require any more information, please call our main number from our website, [redacted] and ask for our compliance department to discuss your account.

Review: I was continuing to have my payments taken out on my debit card however I discontinued this card due to the harassing phone calls I have been receiving on my cell phone. Even though I was in good standing I am receiving messages threatening me that if I don't pay an additional $500 right away I will be arrested and taken to court! This is ridiculous because I was in good standing with no missed payments. I have paid approximately $700 on this loan that was originally $350.00 and these calls are constant during the day and very intimidating and threatening.

I am very confused and disappointed by all of this considering I have made my payments without a problem or issue and don't appreciate being treated like this and like a criminal when I have done nothing wrong.

When I contacted customer service about this they just said that it was a marketing company. If you work with marketing companies that do this then you should discontinue business with them entirely.Desired Settlement: I would like this account closed and considered paid in full for having to put up with this on a daily basis and I also request that they stop calling and only communicate with me via email or postal mail. I want these horrible phone calls to stop. I have paid double for this loan so it has been more than compensated, and being harassed was not something I signed up for.

2/19/2015 - Customer revoked ACH on her

account via email

No emails or calls have been made on

this account since she revoked ACH on 2/19/2015.

We had no further communication with

this customer until 3/23/2015 when we received an email from the customer

stating that she was being threatened.

3/23/2015 we received an email from the

customer notifying us of the threatening phone calls she was receiving and we

attempted to try to work with her at that time in reporting the calls.

Email correspondence with Ms. [redacted]

can be provided upon your request.

We tried to assure her that her account

was in good standing with Green Trust Cash and requested that she reach out to

the OLA Fraud Hotline or file a complaint with the FTC concerning this matter. We

can assure you we closely monitor our website and customer information and that

the breach does not come from Green Trust Cash.

Also, please note we have in place a key question we will ask a

consumer when we call so the consumer knows they are really talking to a Green

Trust Representative, and that is communicated to the consumer when the loan is

originated. The customer is also sent an email with this security information

once the loan is funded.Ms. [redacted] currently

has an outstanding balance of $312.00 and by taking in to consideration what

she has paid on the account, as a gesture of good faith we are willing to

forgive Ms. [redacted]’s outstanding balance. We take these matters very seriously

and are very upset that our name is being used in this manner and our customers

are being harassed by unscrupulous people.

This business is a complete Rip Off! I borrowed 200.00 and owe over 1,000.00! Only 10.00 goes towards your principle per payment made. My payments are 65.00 bi-weekly. After my 7th payment I asked how much it would be to pay the balance off and I was told 182.00. This place is a total Rip Off!! I would advise against a loan with this business.

Review: I requested a $300 loan back in June of 2014. since that month, I have paid hundreds of dollars and my account is still showing I owe over $300. I have been harassed with phone calls and emails from this company, along with a couple unauthorized withdrawals from my bank account. my bank account has been overdrawn several time thanks to this company, causing several overdraft fees from my bank. I just want to be done with this company and I want my account to be closed as paid in full. I have paid more than double the amount of what I initially borrowed.Desired Settlement: I want my account closed as paid in full.

Revdex.com Complaint #[redacted]

Re: Ms. [redacted]

We are in receipt of Ms. [redacted]’s complaint. We take these matters very seriously and make

every effort to make our customers experience with Green Trust Cash rewarding.

We have reviewed our records and noted the following

findings; Ms. [redacted] did take out a $300 loan with us in 2014, and during that

time she made a series of payments in accordance with the terms of her

contract, our records do not indicate payments received on her behalf at the

levels she has indicated, and her account balance includes accrued charges and

late, and returned item fees which would cause her balance to be higher than anticipated.

Our last communication with Ms. [redacted] was June 17, 2014 and

no payments have been received since.

During that period of time Ms. [redacted] would have received various

electronic communications which comply with the applicable principles of

federal financial consumer law and particularly the principles of the FDCPA as

it relates to collection practices and efforts.

We would certainly be interested in speaking with Ms. [redacted]

because from the tone of her complaint and after review of our records she may

have fallen prey to an imposter organization posing as Green Trust Cash. Of course we cannot be sure unless Ms. [redacted]

was able to assist us with any information she could provide.

Our normal practice would be to request Ms. [redacted] call us to

make acceptable payment arrangements, however, since Ms. [redacted] may have fallen

prey to a possible scam of some sort and in the spirit of goodwill to our

customers we will close her account and waive any outstanding balance.

If there are any more questions or issues please do not

hesitate contacting us at your earliest convenience.

Review: Complaint against Green Trust Cash, LLC a.k.a Loan Sharking enterprise. I am a victim of predatory lending and illegal debt collection. As a resident of Washington, DC payday lending is illegal and enforced under the payday loan consumer protection amendment act, which went into effect January 9, 2008. Green Trust a Cash, LLC has illegally collected three times the loan rate from a person who resides in a state where payday lending is illegal.Desired Settlement: I want the account closed as paid in full in writing from Green Trust Cash, LLC and for Green Trust Cash , LLC to cease and desist in further collection attempts. Or I will file a formal complaint with the Washington, D.C. district attorney's office.

###-###-#### within the next 5 business days to make arrangements. Unfortunately, if we do not receive a call

and arrangements are not made normal collection procedures will be followed.

This company is a mess. On the date of application I spoke with the customer rep and told her I got paid bi-weekly. Hell I even had to tell her when my next two pay checks would be deposited. They proceeded to take money out of my account on day that was not listed on my loan agreement, then I had to spend the next three days trying to get my money back for a overdraft fee that my bank charged me because of them not honoring said agreement. After all that they are still trying to make me pay weekly when I have explained over and over I get paid biweekly. Don't use this business.

Review: 1) Was given a “$300.00” Loan. After an attempt to add to a pre-paid debit card failed, I was told that I could to a wire transfer for “free.” I received $275.00, not the original $300.00. Based on the fact that the original amount that was agreed upon was $300.00 which was never fully received, this contract would be null and void due to the failure of the company to fully release the entire amount. I never received the full amount of the loan, nor is there any discussion within the paper work of said loan discussing that you may receive a smaller amount that agreed upon.

2) The agreement made via telephone with the employee stated that I was paid on MONDAYS. They could auto-draft payment at this time, however, all payments were attempted to be gained on FRIDAYS prior to receiving my direct deposit costing $34.00 or more per time. They did not collect on the day I verbally committed to, and which should be recorded on their files as it is “recorded for quality assurance”

3) A $300.00 loan, which $275.00 was received. Due to Green Trust Failure to take the funds on the day I discussed has cost me $374.00 in fees and I have paid them $590.00 for a total of $964. Based on the percentage rate given, the $25.00 that I did not receive from the loan, at the percentage rate of Green Trust Cash is an addition $130.77 worth of interest.

4) Per [redacted], et seq. This loan is an illegal loan in my state of Georgia. Outlined in a press release [redacted]

5) Also reference [redacted].

6) On 06/11/15 Received an Email stating that I had 30 days to reply before turned over to collections. On 06/25/15 received an E-mail and phone calls pertaining to collections. It had not been 30 days, only 14 days.

7) On 06/25/15 I have mailed letters to Green Trust Cash, The FTC, Revdex.com Eastern Region, Revdex.com North Western Region, Georgia Industrial Loan Division and the Georgia Attorney General’s offices in reference to this Illegal Loan and Collections.

8) Overall I have paid the principal of the loan back double, and due to not properly withdrawing funds as verbally agreed, received another $374.00 in fees. With not getting the additional $25.00 from the loan I received, it will be an additional $130.77 worth of interest, which I should be owed.

9) This company is a predatory lender and Is Illegal in my state. I will not accept any collections, make any payments or acknowledge any further business this this company. I have or am in the process of filing complaints with the Revdex.com, FTC, Georgia Industrial Loan Division and the Georgia Attorney General’s office and will possibly be seeking reprimand for this.

[redacted] Complaint ID [redacted]

We are in

receipt of Mr. [redacted]’s complaint and will address the items as noted, it is

always unfortunate when a customer is dissatisfied with our service or the

services we have provided and we take these matters very seriously.

With regards

to the legality of the transaction our disclosures clearly indicate in the

website disclaimers and loan documents executed by Mr. [redacted], Green Trust

Cash, LLC (the “Company”) is a wholly owned and operated entity of the Fort

Belknap Indian Community (the “Tribe”) on the Fort Belknap Reservation of

Montana (the “Reservation). The Company

is wholly owned by the Tribe, was established for the Tribe’s economic benefit,

and is organized under and operates pursuant to Tribal law. As an economic arm of the Tribe, the Company

The Fort

Belknap Indian Community is a federally recognized Indian tribe and a sovereign

nation, as expressly recognized under federal law. See 75 Fed.Reg 60,810,60,811. As such Green Trust Cash, LLC, conducts

business under all principles of applicable Federal financial consumer laws and

the laws of the Fort Belknap Tribe.

Furthermore, we can attest that our Tribal lending business does not

engage in excessive or abusive collection practices. We diligently work with our consumers to resolve

any inquiries and issues that have been brought to our attention in a timely

manner.

With respect

to the other issues noted in Mr. [redacted]’s complaint said issues identified by

him are all clearly covered in Mr. [redacted]’s contract:

Green Trust didn't give me a hard time and were straight up on what the cost of my transaction would be. I noticed many negative reviews, but the key is that you have to listen and pay attention and not just say yes, yes, yes. Ask questions. They take there payments when and how they say, no questions or problems.
If you can find another way for cash that is cheaper, it is best. This is something that you do if you can pay it back within a very short time.

You probably work there. There is never anything mentioned about values or morals its just a company with the mind set of getting over on people who have fallen on hard times. There is no way that any company with morals, dignity or pride should have over 30 payments coming out of your account for a small loan of 300.00 dollars. You can say what you want but its a get over legal scam.
