I am writing this letter in reference to the above-referenced complaint1. *** *** contacted me by telephone for a price on the water line installation(My company was on a list provided to potential consumers by the Borough of
*** code office)I provided a verbal price quote to *** *** to complete the work in a timely manner, while I was visiting with her to view the jobAt that time she stated the price was too highI responded that there were plenty of plumbers on the list and that if she could not agree with my quote she should select another plumber*** *** proceeded to apply for a permit (copy enclosed) at the Borough of *** code office listing Greenawalt's Plumbing at the price I verbally quoted in the estimated cost of work line on the permit
The first day I arrived to begin work was earlier than originally planned due to early completion of a previous jobI worked from lunch time until 3:50pmI asked *** *** for permission to leave some tools at the job; she said that this is fine with her to leave the toolsThe next day I arrived at the *** residence I was working on her basement floor cement (all the while she had water turned on in her home), when the main contractor working out on the street on other properties came to me and asked if I would help do an emergency repair a few houses up where this contractor had damaged the property owner's water main causing this home owner to have a flooded basementThis created an emergency service immediately to repair the broken mainI of course agreed and in doing so, I left the job for *** *** to begin the emergency water main repair
The third day *** ***'s job was completedI asked *** *** to remain so that I could talk with her when the inspector was on her property inspecting my workHer answer was “I have to get going, I will talk to you later, I am too busy, and I must leave now”
I went to *** ***'s home a few days later to discuss my bill*** *** insisted she paid too much for the job, and that she would pay me what she believed the job was worthShe paid $2,of a $2,invoice (copy enclosed)We had words; she said that she believed $2,was all I was worthShe was aware of the price range and she herself completed the price range on the permit
I sent *** *** a certified letter, which unfortunately I enclosed the wrong invoice, when *** *** contacted me to inform me of the error, I prepared another certified letter August 5, (copy enclosed) which *** *** received on August 7,
Following this *** *** proceeded to file the above-referenced complaint**.*** did however since pay the balance of $to bring her account to paid in fullI trust this response is satisfactory and that this matter is resolved with the invoice paid-in-fullSincerely yours,
