I paid in full for my RV rental and the company went out of business. They never contacted me to let me know. They told me they have no money to refund
I paid for my RV rental in full for my families vacation. The company went out of business and never contact me. I found online and called with no answer. When I emailed them they said they had no money to refund me! They took my payment in full and now will not give me my money back! I never received my RV rental or anything. I didn't even get the courtesy of informing me that they went out of business!!

Desired Outcome

I want my money back. I paid a lot of money and got nothing! I want a complete refund!

We reserved and paid in full for a camper to be delivered to Fort Wilderness from 03-3 thru 03-10. No camper was delivered and we cannot contact them
We reserved and paid in full for a camper to be delivered to Fort Wilderness Campground March 3 through March 10th. No camper was delivered and we cannot get in touch with them. Their phones go to voicemail and the mailbox is full. I have emailed them and submitted requests through their website (which is still active), but have not received anything back from them. I paid 988.04 on July 1, 2019 for this reservation. I would like a full refund due to them not upholding their end of the reservation.

Desired Outcome

We would like a full refund.

I paid them in full to deliver a camper to Fort wilderness Campground and they never did.
I paid Greenberg rent a camper 1044.66 on October 23, 2019 for there services of renting me a camper for my vacation from December 22 to January 4, 2020. I never heard from them at all prior to December 22 when we checked in to ***'s Fort wilderness Campground and there was no camper there for us to use. I tried contacting Greenberg rent a camper and their phone was disconnected and I tried searching online and I sent them multiple emails with no response. I feel very taken advantage of and they took my money and will not refund it!

Desired Outcome

I would like Greenberg rent a camper to refund my money because they did not offer other services that I paid for.

We paid in full 9 months prior to our reservation date and the company cannot honor the reservation. We request a full refund.
On May 12th, 2019 we paid $1,285.03 to reserve a camper for February 9th through the 22nd per Quote #316. On January 7th I attempted to call Greenberg RV and found out the phone number was no longer in service. I pulled up their website and discovered they were out of business and no able to honor the reservation. I sent an email inquiry to the email address on the webpage and received no communication back.

Desired Outcome

Full and immediate refund of our pre payment.

Fraudulent company. Collects money for reservation in full and does not fulfill services/ products as promised.
My family booked 2 campers from this company and paid for both reservations in full (totaling $2,600.00) One week prior to our vacation, my mother logged on to confirm everything was set for our trip and found the website had been taken down and the phone lines had been disconnected. The company had essentially disappeared without any communication/ notification. After research, we found that the owner of the company, Matthew H, had told other customers he was unable to fulfill their reservations as his company had gone under and he was filing for Bankruptcy. He has not filed for Bankruptcy. The company has been dissolved and no refunds have been offered. He has basically made it so that you cannot get in contact with him to request or receive a refund. Based on several internet searches, it appears that this has happened to several customers over the course of the past few months.

Desired Outcome

I would like for this company to provide a full refund for the services that were not provided. We had to book through another company as we were unable to get in contact with Matthew or anyone else at Greenberg Rent a Camper.

In May 24th of this year (2019), my wife reserved a camper from "Greenberg Rent a Camper" in Orlando Fla, for a planned trip to D's Fort Wilderness in April of 2020. This is a vacation that we have done every 2 years since 2011 and we have rented a camper for 2 of those vacations with this being the 3rd camper rental.
My wife made a $359 deposit on one of our credit cards on May 24th. On November 19th 2019 my wife paid the balance of $740 using our bank debit card. So as of November 19th were were paid in full.

Yesterday, my wife was conversing with some of the other folks who belong to the same perorming arts studio as we do, and who are also going on the trip to D with us. She became concerned when she was informed by them that the Greenberg Rent A Camper company had closed its doors and deleted thier website and had thier phone disconnected.

My wife learned that a few of our vacation companion families had resorted to calling thier credit card companies and/or banks to petition for refunds or credits for the hundreds, and for some one thousand plus dollars that they had given to "Greenberg Rent a Camper", in good faith, for the rental of campers at Fort Wilderness for next April.

The credit companies took care of the people and gave refunds after collecting some pertinent data. Discover, also refunded our $359 but our bank told us that they would open an investigation that could take up to 10 days to resolve.
Hopefully, my bank also refunds us as we really cant afford to lose $700. If we dont get a positive resolution from the bank, our vacation will have to be much lower budget than it already is.

My wife was informed that the Orange County DA's office is investigating this case. The real kicker is this; apparently the compqny closed its doors on Sept 9th of 2019 and ceased any contact with its customers or the public. This is to me a very unscrupulous act as they continued to accept payment for balances due after they closed on September 9th. Our $740 was accepted by them on November 19th. Due to this fact, it seems to me that this is a blatant case of FRAUD. The company did not send any refunds or informational emails, calls, or letters to us or any of the affected people we know.

There are rumors (things that I have read on other D related forums *** NOT D SPONSORED OR ENDORSED FORUMS,***) being discussed that I cannot substantiate with any proof other than the forum members comments that mention people supposedly arriving at D Fort Wilderness expecting their camper to be there and it wasnt. (D*** and other area camper providers apparently have stepped in to ensure that peoples vacations werent ruined... kudos to them!!!) It also appears that campers were seen being towed away by tow trucks not bearing the Greenberg Rent a Camper logos on them.

So I am guessing that this was a "Pack your bags, Lock the door, Stop at the bank, and Hit the road running event and that there was no concern by the company's owner(s) that they would be purposefully stealing from thier former customers, causing the expenditure of much time calling creditors and banks, and causing great sadness and disappointment to families with children who were trying to take a memorable, fun, family trip to D. Hopefully the legal system gives the owner(s) what they deserve and that thier are penalties and consequences for such egregious and dishonorable business practices and the lack of any ethical or moral values.

Want to cancel my reservation and get refund. The website is not active, the phone number is not active, and no replies to emails. Please HELP.
I reserved a camper on November 5, 2019 for vacation use in May 2020. I paid $359 deposit for this rental. I was told Greenberg RV got new campers every December so if I saw one I wanted to switch for, that would be possible. I began looking at their inventory a few times a week to see if the inventory had new campers. On December 12, 2019 when I was going to search the inventory, I noticed the website was no longer active. I used the email address in my confirmation to send a message to let them know I can't find their website. As of today, December 16, I have not received an reply. I began doing some research as to why the website might have been down. I found several very recent reviews regarding no delivery, problems with the campers, and no refunds. We originally booked with Greenberg RV because they were recommended by Disney. I found out Greenberg RV is no longer on Disney's recommendation list. On December 15, I emailed Greenberg RV to cancel my reservation. On December 16, I called the phone number listed on the confirmation. I found out the phone number is no longer a working number and is disconnected. I only want to get my $359 deposit back, and to have my reservation cancelled. I will not pay the remaining balance, and I expect Greenberg RV to not charge my credit card for the balance.

Desired Outcome

I want my reservation cancelled along with my $359 refund.

Rental agreement paid for in full in advance. Company has gone out of business and not refunded the payment nor are they going to fulfill the rental.
I secured rental of an RV from Greenberg in 02/19 for delivery in 12/19 to Fort Wilderness. The rental was paid for up front in 04/19. In October, I contacted the company to confirm everything was as it should be and was advised that my reservation was confirmed. It has since come to light that Greenberg has closed their doors and will NOT be fulfilling the agreed upon rental nor have I been able to get in contact with anyone to make arrangements for a refund. Their website has been taken down, the phone # is no longer valid and they do not respond to emails!!

Desired Outcome

I would like a FULL refund of funds paid to Greenberg RV rentals!

I rented a travel trailer and paid in full for it from Greenberg RV. It was never delivered on rental date. Says has no money to refund my rental.
Rented a travel trailer from this company for a weekend camping trip to Fort Wilderness in the Walt Disney World Resort on 11/8-11/11/2019. I had rented from this company in the past without any issues. Paid for the rental in full with my credit card on 4/26/2019. The day I am scheduled to arrive at the camp site, 11/8/2019, I am sent an email from Viviana of Greenberg RV, I had been sent one on 10/25/2019 which I did not see, advising that my reservation has been moved to another company. The reason given was because the owner of the travel trailer got a better commission from this other RV rental company and went with them. I was never told that the trailers were privately owned, their web site did not indicate that at the time I rented. When I contacted the other company I learned that they did not pay the other company nor was there an owner that went with them for a better commission. The other company told me a lot of people had this happen to them over the last 2 to 3 months. Greenberg had taken their money and not delivered a trailer to the camp site as promised. These other customers were told, by Greenberg RV, they could get a free cabin from Disney at the camp sites or a free trailer from these other camper rental companies they were listing in their emails to customers, which was not true. At first Disney tried to help and so did the other camper rental companys, but they could not continue to give people free rentals. It was not their fault Greenberg ripped people off. I had to rent another trailer from another trailer rental company, and pay for it, in order to get a camper for the weekend. I paid twice. I learned the owner of Greenberg RV is in the country of Columbia and phones calls to their business are routed to them their. They are operating their web site as though nothing has happened and taking phone calls. He has set up shop in Columbia and defrauding people here in Florida. I wrote a review on Google Reviews about my experience and Matthew ***, the owner of Greenberg Camper Rental, sent me an email stating to sue me for defamation if I did not remove the review within 24 hours.

Desired Outcome

I want a full refund for the rental that was not delivered and payment for the other rental I had to get because Greenberg did not deliver on their services, which was a travel trailer for the weekend of 11/8 to 11/11/2019.

Paid for 2 RV rentals in full. Called a few days later and paid for one of the other RV on separate cc. Viviana confirmed she would be crediting the same amount back to the original cc used to pay for RV reservation. She never did, she advised she couldn't return money due to issues with cc vendor. Was advised by her to dispute the charge with my cc, which I am currently going through. They don't respond to email, going on almost 2 months and still have Not been credited the over payment of $851. Stay away from this company, not professional and don't follow through their promises thus far.

Greenberg Rent a Camper Response • Nov 11, 2019

On behalf of Greenberg Rent A Camper, we want to apologize to those who were effected

It was never our intention for this to happen. when the reservations were taken we had the campers in our possession .

They had gotten stolen and we were even able to recover some of them. But as you know they say as it rains it pours.

We had to rent campers from our competitors to cover the rentals that we were missing and we did that for over a month paying thousands of dollars. Eventually we ran out of money to cover all the reservations, especially after one of the competitors offered one of our investors more commission and he transferred them to other company and left us stranded and without a paddle to row with.

We are asking that you have a little bit of understanding and patience, we will refund you we just need a little bit of time to recover some of the losses that has happened in the last few month's.

We would really appreciate your cooperation and ask that you please take into consideration everything that has happened, and please know that we are doing everything in our power to refund as soon as possible.

Do not rent from Greenberg!!!!
We rented what was supposed to be a Duo Queen for 10 days, staying at D. We were told at 4 pm our camper was enroute. We called and emailed repeatedly when hours were going by with no camper. Finally, at 9:30 a camper arrived. But not the Duo Queen. We now had a bunk room, and being that we had all adults, we had adults sleeping in bunks. And better still, there were no keys to lock the camper. We were told someone would be out the next morning with them. We were missing a tv, dishes, towels, outdoor rug.

It took 3 days of leaving messages on their online messaging, phoning, emailing (all while trying to vacation) to finally speak to someone. And when they finally answered, they are extremely rude and acted as if there was no problem....and they "upgraded" us so we should be happy. We were told that there was a propane leak in the camper we reserved and as such it wasn't safe. But the delivery person told us there had been a robbery. This left us quite confused.

Day 4 we finally had keys. We never got any of them missing items we paid for. Finally, after we were home we were told that indeed there was a robbery. And how did they offer to make up for all that we were missing and paid for, not to mention the time spent just trying to get keys so we could lock the camper? $100 off a future rental.

Please heed our warning. Do not use them! We realized after the fact that D removes Greenberg as a preferred company. We learned first hand why

Excellent experience with this business! Over the busy Christmas holiday, they exceeded our expectations! Beautiful, new campers. Everything was as advertised or better.

Customer service was lacking, poor product quality, and falsification of customer comments were posted by company reps and not actual customer
Company left no operation instructions for rented rv operation. December 16. During severe weather on December 20, the rv leaked water soaking bedroom carpeting. The remedy was for the company to send a fan to dry carpeting and stuff rags in the side of the left side rear bedroom slide out. The propane tanks (1 was already empty and the second was only 1/2 filled upon delivery) ran out leaving us with no heat, hot water, or cooking method. We had to borrow an electric heater to stay warm (temperatures dropped to mid 30's) overnight with a three year old child in our party. (December 22 & 23.) Filled 12/24/18. Departure they were late by 1 1/2 hours. They also posted a fake customer comment to their website attributing positive comments by my wife. Nothing is farther from the truth. RV beds were sloped and mattresses did not fit frames. Very dissatisfied with company's service and product.

Desired Outcome

Due to misrepresentation of product and services, inconveniences created due to negligence, falsely posting comments in social media attributed to my spouse, and the emotional stresses created during our stay, a full refund is requested of all charges and fees paid by consumer.

Greenberg Rent a Camper Response • Jan 09, 2019

In response to this complaint I would like to explain as follows:
Our trailers have instructions how to operate our trailers on the media player that is installed on every single main TV in our trailers. All trailers have brochure on the table informing about that special media player with troubleshooting and how to turn it to that channel on TV. In addition all instructions are listed on our web sites with all links to *** channel for every possible most common issues that may occur during the rental. We also can provide personal walk thru at customer request. In this case no one requested that personal walk thru. Reason for leak in rear bedroom as we found out was caused by someone pushing slide out button and leaving slide partially open. Those buttons should never be pushed and all adults should ask any kids staying in the trailer to not play with it. If slide out is not fully opened - it might cause leaks inside of the trailer. There was no problem with a trailer . We refresh our fleet every year. This trailer was equipped with electric heater/LED fire place in main room and can provide efficient heat to warm up a trailer during Florida cooler nights. Customer also had 3 phone numbers to call and request propane - main number , Service number and in addition Douglas - my lead driver provide his personal cell number. On our web site we have also ink for emergency calls after hours. Customer called and reported that they didn't have any heat for last 2 days. If we would receive request thru any of phone numbers or e-mail - it would be taken care of right away.We delivered propane same day customer reported.
During brief phone conversation with a client few days ago he stated that he would like a full refund or will file complaint to Revdex.com and Campground where they were staying. I was also told that someone posted review on line with his wife name on it. We have no clue who it might be nor have any interest to post such a reviews in someones behalf. Also this customer stated that he have proof and IP number belongs to Greenberg Rent A Camper and review was written in Clermont at 9600 W US 192. I asked for that IP address so I can investigate but client never provided to me. We do not have any computers in Clermont. I personally live in Kissimmee and our Call Center is located in Medellin Colombia. Our Clermont address on our web site is kept because of the google SEO reasons. ( By changing address we might loose google rank. We moved out of there long time ago and have no computers there. Our storage facility is in Davenport so I advise this customer to contact Google and report it since we have nothing to do with it. Greenberg RAC would appreciate it if client make sure to double check his information before making false accusations.

Vendor is still actively issuing false advertising via their website and refuses to offer a refund when confronted
We are extremely disappointed with our experience with Greenberg RV. In June of 2017 we reserved a camper from Greenberg RV to be set up in Fort Wilderness from May 12 - 19th 2018.
At the time, Greenberg RV was a preferred vendor of *** and this was the only reason we booked with them. We are traveling with three young children with autism and needed things to go as smoothly as possible. However, as we were making our final preparations this May to take this trip and going through the check in process, *** informed us that Greenberg was not a preferred vendor as of December 2017 and they were no longer able to offer us the perks and benefits of being a preferred vendor. This includes being able to get a site number for us and set up the camper before we arrive. We were now required to get the site number ourselves and escort them onto the property.
As our travel arrangements made this impossible, we contacted Greenberg on 5/7/2018 to see what was going on. After all, Greenberg was still advertising (and is still as of 5/26/2018) on their website that they were preferred vendors of *** and misrepresenting themselves to us and other customers. Greenberg replied to us "Hopefully you will get a different person on the phone (at Fort Wilderness) that can give you the site number prior to your arrival. We are in and out of there all day long. They just try to make things difficult for us."
Their response concerned us so my wife and I again each made separate calls to *** and both times they confirmed that we would indeed need to be there with Greenberg to escort them onto the property since they are no longer preferred vendors of ***. At this time, we wrote to Greenberg and requested a refund of the $975.88. They informed us that there were no refunds, however, we persisted because we feel that they breached the original contract. Since they are no longer preferred vendors of ***, and therefore cannot provide the same benefits as promised when they were preferred vendors of ***, in good faith, they should refund the money to us.
We received no response to our additional email again requesting a refund. We are seeking help in this matter. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
Summary info:
reservation #: ***
Reserved: 6/17/2017
payment via *** Credit Card
payment amount: $200 deposit 6/17/2017
free delivery promotion if paid in full: 9/3/2017, balance of $775.88 paid by credit card again
We worked with: Marlena (office manager)
Requested refund on: 5/7/2018, vendor asked for us to not cancel and their policy is within 7 days no refund
We replied on 5/8/2018 that based on what we confirmed with ***, what they were initially offering is no longer possible so their offering is not what we signed up for and would like to continue with cancellation and refund. We have received no response since and no refund issued.
Again, the primary reason we cancelled is that they lost their preferred vendor status, changing what they are able to offer as per ***. We did not want to risk our entire vacation on a "keep calling back and hopefully you'll get someone else".

Desired Outcome

We would like a refund in full as "store credit" or similar is not acceptable. Due to the issue and how it was handled, we will never use Greenberg again.

Greenberg Rent a Camper Response • May 29, 2018

In response to this complaint I would like to explain that we stand by our decision. We do not issue any refunds for such a short notice as described above ( 7 days) . There is also no such a thing like "Preferred Vendor Perks". Only thing that was a different was that we could get a campsite number for a customer by calling Guest Services on our own but most of the time customer's were giving us there site numbers on their own anyway. We decided to resign as a Preferred Vendor since we were very established and strong company on our own and Preferred Status did not help us in gaining any business and we pass those savings to our customers since this was not really what our customers and our company expected being Preferred Vendor. We deliver and set up every day at *** and still remaining Leader in this market offering lowest prices and newest trailers and of course outstanding customer service at ***'s ***. We were ready to deliver that trailer for this customer and only thing that they were required to do is just dial the number to Guest Services and get their campsite number. Rest is done in lightning speed with no interruptions. Since we resigned as Preferred Vendor for *** ( last December 2017 ) - you will not find any complaints online in regards to quality of our services. I would be more in climate of refunding the deposit ( Please note that we refunded amount of $775.88 to this customer) of $200 if we would fail to provide service. But we were not given even a chance to do so. It would be smooth and painless like any other rentals we do at ***'s *** Campground every day.

Sincerely,

Matthew G

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
To the owner's claim that he refunded us $775.88--know that as of this date almost 4 weeks later we have NOT received a refund in any amount from this company. Whether *** fired him as a preferred vendor or he resigned is not the point. The point is that we only signed up with this company because they were one of ***'s preferred vendors at the time we paid our deposit. We didn't find out that he was no longer a preferred vendor until we were completing the check-in process for *** the week prior. It's not like we just changed our minds on a whim and cancelled. We cancelled for a specific cause and it doesn't matter whether it was 7 months or 7 days. Our contract was with him as a preferred vendor and that contract ended the day he lost that preferred vendor status no matter what that reason was that he lost it. If this company was respectable, then the professional thing to do was for the owner to be honest and contact us back in December when his preferred vendor status changed and he should have explained the situation. Not just assume that we would be okay with getting our own campsite number and being there to escort them in. Instead, he continued to misrepresent himself as ***'s preferred vendor on his company website the entire time (though we noticed it was recently changed after we filed our complaint). Contrary to what this company is claiming, being a preferred vendor of *** does make a difference with the biggest advantage to us being that preferred vendors are able to obtain the campsite number for us and set up without us present. Again, we were traveling with three young children with autism and we did not want to have to be there with them for set up (*** verified several times that this is the procedure for non-preferred vendors)--certainly NOT what we signed up for and for this company to keep our money is unprofessional and dishonest. This was the first real vacation our family was attempting to take after so many challenges dealing with our kids' disabilities and this situation certainly doesn't help matters. At any rate, we are still looking for a complete refund of the $975.88 that we had paid to them. If the owner did in fact send a partial refund of some amount, can he please verify when this was sent and how it was sent because we did not receive anything. Thank you.

Customer Response • Jun 18, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
There is a difference between plain cancellation and the vendor not able to provide the services initially agreed upon. The fact remains that the services which were initially agreed upon are not what the vendor was able to provide. This made it impossible for us to utilize their services due to our childrens' special needs.

The requirement for escort onto the grounds during the check-in process for non-preferred vendors was confirmed by *** on no less than 4 separate phone calls with different personnel. If the vendor can potentially work around ***'s stated security protocols for not being a preferred vendor, then that was not something we were then or are now willing to risk. As mentioned previously, having the RV ready before we arrive was critical due to our family's special needs.

To recap, the agreement should be null and void when the vendor lost their preferred vendor status. They claim this does not offer any additional benefit, but we are still, as of today, unable to confirm that statement is correct. We have confirmed, again by *** personnel, that a non-preferred vendor needs to be escorted onto the property.

Also, we are a little confused as the initial response stated "Please note that we refunded amount of $775.88 to this customer"

Greenberg Rent a Camper Response • Jun 19, 2018

Customer statement is based on assumption not a facts. We are providing services at *** since 2011 and for short period of time in ( about 6 months ) *** approached us to sign up for Preferred Vendor title. Which did not work and details why I can not disclose. We resign it . Just to clarify. We are able to provide services for over 7 years of our business relation with ***.
There is no requirement to escort anybody. Everybody who rents from us for last 7 years never had a problems and complain about delivery and set up procedure. Please google our reviews. You can find positive reviews which describe delivery process even after the date we resign as preferred vendor. We deliver almost 40 rentals a week to ***.
This was just simple example of cancellation with 4 day notice and refund will be not issued. We were ready to provide service but we ere denied to to so by a customer.
Contract have nothing to do with voiding all my reservations because I resigned as a Preferred vendor. This is most absurd statement.
No refund will be issued.

Our family and I rented a camper from Greenberg. We had an amazing time at fort wilderness. The camper was set up very quickly once we received our camp site from ***. The gentlemen that came to set up our Camper (Douglas) was extremely helpful in showing us how to use the camper as this was our first time using a camper. The camper was very clean and well stocked. We did have am issue with septic smell but we called after hours and the very next morning they sent someone out to locate the issue and within 10min the problem was resolved. I want to thank Greenberg for helping my family have a wonderful time. We will see you guys next year. God Bless.

We have requested a refund, or at a minimum, a credit for our rental due to multiple safety concerns and receiving the wrong camper.
This company has the lease amount of professionalism I have ever witnessed. We made our reservations a full year in advance for 2 campers for our family. We spoke with Marlena shortly before our rental dates to pay the balance, and no changes were mentioned. Upon delivery, it was the wrong camper delivered. My mom, who arrived before us, told the man (who we were told was Matthew, the owner) that it was the wrong one. She was told that the staff were coming to set them up and would explain. When Marlena and her cleaner arrived, she told us that he "passed the buck" onto her since she's the office manager. They refused to bring the correct camper. Upon opening the slides and setting up the camper, I told her it would be acceptable although it did not have the two specific feathers (outdoor kitchen and fireplace) that I chose the other one for. As I was making the bed that evening, I noticed a large brown stain on the comforter. I texted her a picture of the comforter and asked if they were washed between uses. She said that they were and that the cleaner must have taken it from the wrong box. We were told we would get a clean comforter the next morning. No one came. I called around 2 pm to make sure they were still coming and no one answered or called me back, so we had no choice but to buy bedding so we could sleep that night. They finally came late that evening after we had purchased some. We had other issues, some of which were major safety concerns, all of which I have have multiple photographs and videos of. Marlena was contacted in regards to all of these issues, and nothing was done. I told her we wanted a refund and she said that she would address it with the owner when he got back Tuesday. Tuesday turned into Wednesday, then Thursday and finally Friday I called and spoke with Niki who told me she would have the owner call me. Nearly a week has gone by and I have still received no resolution. I have called, messaged and texted multiple times daily and they have clearly screened and ignored my calls. Some of the safety issues were that the door jam was so bent that the door was unable to be locked, forcing us to sleep with our door unlocked each night. In order to even close the door it had to be slammed, making it difficult for us to even go in and out while our baby was napping. The area that it was bent was so sharp that it tore my shirt as I brushed past it. We were unable to use our screen door because the latch was off center and would not properly latch, which would have allowed our small child to fall down the steps if she touched it. Upon delivery, one of the cabinet doors in the back room was broken completely off. They didn't "have time to fix it" between renters. I guess the benefit of them never answering their phone is that I have pages of texts so I can directly quote what I was told, and they can not mis-quote me.

Desired Outcome

refund

Greenberg Rent a Camper Response • Jan 06, 2018

t is truth that trailer that was delivered for a customer was not 2017 Coachmen which we sold ( Sunseeker is called on our web site) . She received a brand new 2018 Forest River ( Buena Vista) which was a step upgrade with 3 slide outs and more room in rear ( double slide outs) . Upgrading customers is pretty common in rental business - same concept as you san experience at*** or *** and had midsize car reserved but received Cadillac. We work the same way. As long as we don't downgrade customer - we do not issue refund for that. As far as safety issues - we do not find them as safety issues that door could not close. This is a travel trailer when usually you have to slam door to close - that's just the way they are made. In regards to one dot from chocolate that customer noticed - that might be the only thing that I am not sure how it get there... All linens and towels are washed after each use.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
You knew full well our stance before this complaint and had more than sufficient opportunity to make it right. You blatantly screened and ignored my multiple calls and messages for nearly a week. Your complete lack of disregard for customers safety is disgusting. The fact that we could not even lock our door at night is a blatant safety concern. Just because you think it is an upgrade, does not make it so. The camper we specifically chose, and made very clear we wanted, had features that the one you provided did not have. Just because something is "newer" does not automatically make it an upgrade. I will be happy to also share screenshots of all of our texts and messages stating that you were going to see what you could do for us and would have the owner call us "for sure". Texts don't lie... videos and photos of the issues can also be shared as proof of the issues.

Greenberg Rent a Camper Response • Jan 22, 2018

Customer received free upgrade to bigger , better and more expensive trailer at no extra charge.
It was brand new 2018 unit that had no issues. We checked Trailer after her Rental and could not find anything wrong with it We rented it multiple times after this customer and no one complaint
Trailer was cleaned and had no stains as she stated in her complaint .
She demand full refund because we gave her free upgrade which was declined so she told us she will post everywhere she can to hurt my business.
In this case we are unable to help her now nor in the future

Customer Response • Jan 23, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
You are completely contradicting yourself now. You even admired that the comforter was dirty and stained in your previous response. That was the least of our concern considering the door issues. Once again, you cannot call something an upgrade just because you want to. We were very specific about the one we requested, and even at the time of arrival we asked for the one we wanted and were told that was not possible. We were never offered ANY concession, regardless of whether it was full or partial. The reason for our refund request was due to all of the issues we had, some of which were huge safety concerns and ability to fully enjoy staying in the camper, not solely because it was "in upgrade" which it was not to us. I absolutely did say that I will be posting a review of our experience to the public. I have every right to, and fully intend to speak truthfully about our experience with your company so that others will not be in the same position that we are. The fact that someone speaks truthfully and openly about your lack of product quality and service is what affects your business, so that is your own doing. I haven't once claimed anything that is untrue and have pictures and videos that document them. If there was an option to upload photos in this complaint I would be happy to include them as proof, as well as screenshots of all of the texts from Marlena.
