Review: I brought my car to Greendale Auto because it was making a noise it had not made previously. After driving it, I was told I would need to replace a wheel bearing. Dana at the front desk asked me to be there at 3 pm prompt the next day, so I left work early to be there right at 3 pm so it would be done the same day. I waited for an hour and a half until they started on it, and then as it turns out they weren't finished by the end of the day. I came back the next day and paid Dana $223 which is a substantial amount of money for me since I earn $8.50 per hour. When I drove it away, it was making the exact same noise that it was making before I paid them the $223 so I took it back. When I told Dana it was still making the noise she seemed irritated with me and said "He drove it twice; do you need him to drive it with you?" I felt a little condescended to, as though perhaps she wasn't taking my concern seriously. The mechanic was very friendly and when he drove it with me he confirmed that he also heard the noise. THE MECHANIC SAID A WHEEL BEARING VERSES A CUPPED WHEEL WAS DIFFICULT TO DIAGNOSE BECAUSE THEY SOUND SIMILAR. I asked Dana for a refund and she seemed irritated again, and instead of refunding my $223 said to just drive it, that if I drive it the sound will go away. At this point I researched wheel bearing issues with my computer and found several instructional videos that demonstrated what the car would sound like if the wheel bearing needed to be replaced, and none of the videos sounded at all like the sound my car was making when I brought it to them. I wanted a second opinion so I took it to another mechanic, and that mechanic confirmed that a wheel bearing that needs to be replaced sounds very similar to a cupped tire. All I am asking is that Greendale Auto Services refund the money, because my car is making the same noise after paying the $233 as it was making when I brought the car to them to correctly diagnose the problem and repair it.Desired Settlement: All I am asking is that Greendale Auto Seevices refund the $223 I gave them, since my car is still making the same noise it was making when I brought it them to correctly diagnose the problem and repair it. Thank you.
